1  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [open] Gridseed Dual Asic Round 2 -- lower pricing on: March 17, 2014, 11:53:35 PM
Goods have shipped from China with ups

www.ups.com

1z8837110460139668

all those that ordered direct from China shipping should receive them by Monday. The main package should be here Monday and with customers 2-3 days after.

Looking at the tracking, you'll receive the gridseeds Wednesday. Does this mean we should expect our deliveries on Friday?
2  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [open] Gridseed Dual Asic Round 2 -- lower pricing on: March 08, 2014, 11:36:30 AM
Spotted these on your site last night. People are selling these on ebay for £250! £150 is a steal.

I'm in for two. #232
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BETARIGS.COM - Cryptocurrency cloud mining - 400 Mh/s currently rented! on: February 06, 2014, 09:36:03 AM
Is there anyway we can quickly check whether it was a betarigs issue or a renter pool issue (I recognise it's UNLIKELY to be betarigs, but I'd like to be able to point the finger to the appropriate place).

I've seen a few pool swaps in the CGRemote logs (pretty much essential for this I feel for this reason!).

Obviously this is going to become a reputation game, and I'd hate to lose my reputation because of an issue on their end.

On a similar note, is there any reason we can't credit renters like 15 minutes extra time? Why is 30 minutes the minimum?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BETARIGS.COM - Cryptocurrency cloud mining - Lease and rent mining rigs! on: February 02, 2014, 11:08:26 PM
@JBardey, are you sure you're talking about the 'number of BTC per 1 MH per day' or are you displaying your total payout? The BTC/MH/day number makes it easy to compare your 'profits'/income with others/other pools/other coins because it doesn't factor in your total hashrate.

Suppose you've received 0.1 BTC from Middlecoin at a given day and you have been hashing for 24 hours at 4 MH/s than you have made 0.1/4=0.025 BTC/MH/day.

BTC/MHs/Day as I stated. E.g. 2014/01/30 0.04258367 payout / 4Mh/s = ~0.0105 (0.0106 with more decimal places).

Seems significantly lower than what you posted is all, curious as to where I'm going wrong. We're all on the same pool on the same days.

This is a joke. Renting price is higher what you can actually earn per day. Scammers!!!

Don't worry, looks like the race to the bottom is on. Best day on Middlecoin has been about 0.013BTC/Mh/Day. We're currently at 0.0155 cheapest.

Hmmm...not really...  Cheesy

Recent examples of BTC/MH/day:
1-22-2014: 0.03209
1-24-2014: 0.02076

So great to watch features coming in so quick!

Noticed the 'my rigs' page has changed. As I don't rent rigs myself, and primarily rent them to other people, this change means I've got to click an extra page to see the lease status of my rigs.

Maybe set the site to have a renter/rentee setting so we can see things slightly tuned to our needs?

Both groups of people will have differences in what they want.

Seems like a great idea, hoping it catches on.

I've PMed you details of one rig, I've got another one built and ready and another maybe on the way.

Some lessons learnt from the first launch. Definitely taken the right steps. I'll be there.

I could be interested in 5 of these.

Either BTC via escrow or in person. I can get to most of central london fairly easily.

I don't get it why new coins always start with so low diff. Higher the diff up for fuck sake...

Because dev is low-ping / low diff mining the first 10,000 blocks, that's 4,000,000,000 MRC before we get in...

+100000

That's the fucking truth

Then we'll see this from the blockchain explorer and abandon this coin.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - Bounties - Released! on: January 04, 2014, 05:22:31 PM
my wallet can't keep up with the blockchain ahaha I'm always 4 min behind lol

I think that's because the blockexplorer / first wallet site is being beaten into submission.

Probably some very lucky people out there who's chains are being accepted.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] microCoin MRC - Scrypt-Jane - nFactor - Bounties - Released! on: January 04, 2014, 05:14:35 PM
People here have never mined a coin from launch? Blocks get generated so quickly you'll see lots of rejects/orphans for at least the first few thousand blocks as the difficulty is normally so low. Give it some time.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Effect of profit switch pools on: December 14, 2013, 11:37:42 PM
Are profit switch pools causing harm to our alternate crypto currencies?

If you keep an eye on coinwarz, every few minutes you'll see the difficulty of one coin (SPT, GDC typically) rise and rise very quickly (and it's profitability drop). This effect will then swap coin.

Is this being caused by profit switch pools (hasco.ws and middlecoin for example)? Or is something else at play? Middlecoin for example reports 2498 MH\s of power. That's huge. More than the entire networks of some coins.

I feel it practically kills solo mining and even the majority of dedicated pools, as well as potentially making an alt vulnerable to various attacks. Anybody have any thoughts?

19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lag in transferring cryptocurrency between exchanges? on: December 10, 2013, 06:27:34 PM
In your experience, how long does it generally take to make transfers between different exchanges?  Personally, I transferred a few hundred LTC from BTC-E to Cryptsy and it has been an hour and a half with no update.  I have entered the LTC address given to me by Cryptsy into block-explorer.com, which does show that a credit was made to the address.  I take it this means that it's just Cryptsy is being slow?

Cryptsy has had a site overhaul and has become HUGELY popular lately. It's simply overwhelmed. It takes a while for credits to show up as pending. It's broken some of the pools I mine on that auto-trade.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Giving away BTC for Christmas on: December 10, 2013, 06:17:01 PM
I think these look quite nice if printed on some heavyish paper. A lot like gift vouchers.

I'd probably say you'll likely have a busy Christmas explaining what you've given them though!
