Whats up i go on vacation and poof no work... Should have stayed on vacation.

I soooo miss being over 105% luck on this pool...it is like slush's pool is your crazy bi-polar girlfriend...sure
the sex is great....but these 'cutoffs' out of spite...the 'evil/crazy looks'.....I mean really slush.....I just 'glanced' at that other pool
it meant nothing!

Searing

I know what you mean... I have a bi-polar girlfriend.
Great sex. Evil looks.

Back to load balancing again... Incredible how 10 mins into load balancing and expected Slush payout has halved despite 24 hours of full speed contributions! Hmmm...

You know, this is something... I have noticed the inverse as well - I plugged in a new miner 11 hours in, effectively doubling my hashrate, and an hour later the pool found a block and I got a payment proportional to if the new miner had been mining the whole 12 hours.

It seemed my share of the payout was calculated on the past hour - not the whole 12 hours I had been mining at 50%.

A quick question to Slush's.  I am thinking of giving up mining against your pool.  Nothing personal, just with only 2Ghz, it's never really going to be worth the hassle.  I have 0.00308557 BTC reward in my account.  Any way I can get it out?  I would like to have something to show for my time and effort.

Thanks.

Shaun

What if you change your payment threshold to 0.00308557

Would that work? Or is there a minimum threshold?

Also - if you are in NZ I could sell you a 180GH Antminer S1 for cheap Smiley then you could mine up a little faster.

But how is 1 day luck at 184%??
That's not right - one day luck is 0%, surely
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - www.middlecoin.com on: February 28, 2014, 03:26:47 AM
I decided to try load balancing around 20 megahashes equally between middlecoin, clevermining, and wafflepool about ten days ago.  It's hard to compare them fairly since middlecoin pays out late at night, wafflepool pays out early in the morning, and clevermining sends little payments all day long.  If I look at what has been paid to my wallet as of right now, Middlecoin is still paying better for me.  If I completely drop Middlecoin's earnings for the first day to account for Middlecoin's previous unexchanged, as of right now, Middlecoin is still number one for me even though Wafflepool has paid out this morning and Middlecoin will be sending more tonight.  If I look only at what has been sent to my wallet as of right now, and go back seven days, then Clevermining is in the lead, followed by Wafflepool, and Middlecoin.

All three pools are very close on earnings for me.  Just looking at payments for the last seven days, when Middlecoin pays out tonight it will go back to being number one for me.  Clevermining will send some little payments and jump around in my stats, and when Wafflepool pays out tomorrow morning it will probably go back to the top.  Without playing with the numbers or increasing my sample size I can't really say for sure that any one pool is an order of magnitude better than the others.  heh..

Chad
Thanks, man. This is useful.

Not to mention big chunks of MC's unexchanged have a habbit of 'losing' 20%+ value when actually traded.

If you are still mining here (god knows why...), try wafflepool. You'll be impressed, I am confident in that.

After getting fed-up with MC lack of communication and shitty payouts I jumped ship a week or so back. The results are, unfortunately, that I'm pretty disappointed by my payouts on Waffle, Clever and AltCoinPlex.

I think the reality is that, although H20 did a shitty job of communicating since about 2 weeks after the pool was launched, the low profits are more to do with BTC price almost halving in past 2 weeks.

This is a low period, folks. Grit your teeth and we'll get through it. I think the best thing people can do right now is keep mining but not stress over the profits too much. Instead go out and tell people about BTC and how great it is. Tell them it's going to survive the Mt.Gox disaster. That Bitcoin is the future of digital payments. What we all need right now is a stronger BTC economy, with more real-world business accepting bitcoins for coffees and pizzas, etc. This is what will push the price back up - people using it.

What a load of bullshit ... I have had 8 days straight minimum +25% payouts compared to this cunt ...

It has never gone below .6 btc per day for my 65m farm

On here is was .18 .3 .45 and some days I would get excited by .55 ...Now there was 2 days above .6 over a period of 2 weeks but when u have 10 sub .3 days ..WHO GIVES A FUCK as its all bullshit ...

BTW i have mined on and off @ this cunts site for the last 6 months ...its always been the same .. 2 steps forward 1 step back

Dudes, it's not a load of bullshit. I tested 2 days Waffle, 2 days Clever and a day and a half ALtCoinPlex - got about .01 BTC on ALtCoinPlex for 36 hours with 8GH... Waffle and Clever returned me .04 - .06 for 8GH. It's still pretty shit.

If you look at dustcoin or coinwarz the profitable coin spikes are short-lived, and are few and far between. A month ago these sites predicted I would earn $2500 per month with my 8GH - now the highest paying coin will earn me about $1000 per month. None of these coins are spiking high, so there isn't huge profit in coin switching.

Additionally the price of LTC and other alt currencies tends to follow BTC, when BTC drops LTC follows. 1 LTC is about $15 USD right now. A month ago it was up around $25.

erm... last 63 pages kind of talk about servers and the fact that there is only one.
erm, well, excuse me. I started 6 pages back and couldn't see anything. Sorry to ask the same Q if it's been asked before, but I've been reading snippets about new servers coming online, .eu on Weds, perhaps... so it seems possible.
Additionally, I get 100ms to clevermining, but 300ms to us.clevermining - so there definitely is another server, whether it's a pool node or not is another Q.
sorry i might have sounded a bit too harsh, Terk 6 posts above yours did an ETA on the next servers (EU), comming around wednesday
No worries, I know it's frustrating when people post same Q's repeatedly. It's just a lot of time to go through 63 pages looking for one thing... and I was sure I'd read a hint of a West server.
Thanks

Hi CleverMining - are there any server alternatives I can use other than us.clevermining.com?

I get a ping of up to 290ms from New Zealand to us.clevermining.com, but a ping of around 100 to clevermining.com (without the us subdomain).

Your US West server should give me a reasonable ping if I can manually connect to it. OR will us.clevermining automatically connect me to your fastest/closest server?

TY, happy to direct my 8MH at you if we can get to around 0.01 per MH, average (I know some days will be good, and some bad).

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] altcoinplex.com - A new hedgemining, auto-exchanging pool on: February 20, 2014, 01:33:04 AM
Hi everyone,

Our payout for today ~ 0.011 BTC/MH/ 24 Hours

Cheers and happy mining!
Hey Altcoinplex,
I like your pool and your mining philosophy and would like to support you with my hashing power.
However, I've mined for 24+ hours with 3MH, approx, and seen much less than the 0.011 BTC/MH/24hrs.
For the record I have the other half of my hashing power pointed at WafflePool, and this seems to be delivering what I would expect.
As the person who posted just before me asked - I am using the same BTC address for 5 machines, each with a single card. Is this causing some issue? My MH is recorded reasonably close in your stats to what I am seeing here across 5 cards.
My estimated total amount of coins for the current round so far: 0.00690182, and yesterday's payout 0.01649328.
As mentioned, I've been mining with the same hashrate at Waffle for a similar amount of time and they have so far paid out 0.04750400, with another 0.01378729 earned so far today.
If you could look into this for me my BTC address is 17BWcUmqbADazh4Q4cjD7vKzkc18D4y29f
As mentioned, I'd like to stay with you guys, but need something a bit closer to the 0.011BTC mentioned. The current earnings will barely cover my power.
Thx

Oh boy, yet another multipool trying to squeeze the life out of a coin, before leaving the coin believers to pickup up the difficulty pieces until it starts all over again.

So here's an idea for you. Someone else build a multipool (lets call it B) that picks up the coin next on the multipool (A) list and thus staying ahead of the difficulty game.

Then someone else does the same with a mutipool (C) that tries to beat multipool (B) to the next easiest coin.

Rinse and repeat creating multipools until there are no new desirable coins to mine.

Then take a step back and realize that you could all just stay mining the same coin and peace would be restored in the mining world.

Poorly designed coins are not the responsibility of multi-pool providers. Whether through investing or mining, people are simply trying to make some money. Coins can become multi-pool resistant if the developers so choose. If they do not so choose, it's their own fault. Every step of the way people are going to find ways to squeeze every last bit out of a coin. Good luck trying to change that.

EDIT: This pool actually does seem to care about negatively affecting coins. I say, let the coin evolve on it's own. Challenge the developers to create something seaworthy so we all wind-up with a solid platform in the end.
I 2nd Drexel.

You can mine anytime! Simply follow the instructions by altcoinplex in the first post to connect to us. We do our payouts daily at between 0000hrs to 0200hrs, +0800GMT, and you can track your estimated payout for the day at our stats page.
Hi,
Just been experimenting with your pool for about half a day so far. First few hours had me worried as hashrate was 0, but I had around 3MH pointing at you. Stats came up eventually and I read an earlier post that went someway to explain this.

I can't, however, see any estimation of how much I may have earned for the half day or so I've been mining. My stats page shows:
Estimated amount of coins for the current round so far: 0.00413682202823
Confirmed amount of coins so far: 2.70875885574e-05

Which I can only assume is the total amount earned by the pool? No estimation of what my share would be.

Any tips?

Tx

And it would appear peeps are jumping ship in droves... MC down to 14GH now, from 22 earlier today.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - www.middlecoin.com on: February 18, 2014, 03:24:33 AM
bye MC,

wafflepool jump to 7.85 GH/s    Embarrassed

5.4 of it is one miner... Huge botnet i imagine. I do not know of any gpu farm that large or asics either.
It could easily be another pool. If not, then I wish i had a huge botnet...

Well, if it's any consolation, I think this was the worst payout ever.
But that said the unexchanged looks like a full days payout on it's own. I would say H20 is having a difficult time exchanging currencies the past week with exchanges being down because of the DDOS attacks, MtGox, etc. Just hang in there and eat your popcorn. That's what I'm doing Smiley

im quite happy with todays performance actually.

but people shouldn't tout this up to be some massive payment. its good, but not "third best ever". not by a long shot.

im sorry that reality sets in when i post...
Agree, in the past month I've had one day that was double today's payment.
