I don't really get what this pool does when there is only POS?
It mines alt coins ... buys BTC with the alt coins .. then Buys BC with the BTC. So it's feeding sold BC back into the stake holder's hands while increasing the value of BC. This is the most inovative mining idea I've ever seen! Do you know when the pool will be up and running again? ah cool. But what is so innovative about that? This is just one step further to a normal mutlipool like middlecoin... Normally mining contributes to pushing the price down, because multipools usually sell their coins at the lowest price. This means that for the price to stabilize there has to be at least as many new buyers buying up the new coins. What the BC guys are doing is the opposite; they have created a pool that will buy the coins up which will help to drive the price up by increasing demand. Furthermore it will greatly increase volume which will make the coin more interesting for exchanges to add.

A lot of fake sell walls, a lot of fake buy walls. Who's doing this is using his head, not rushing it. He's waiting for people to strengthen the walls before moving up.
I think it has more to do with Moolah announcing that they will support MEOW in their payment processor.

Damn. Sucks I didn't buy into Doge sooner. It's seems to me to be the only alt-coin worth investing in right now. The community is absolutely massive!

|

So he sold his doge and is now buying unobtainium? Lol... I predict massive spike ahead for that coin, just by stating his intention. It must be true I read it in the net Actually from what I see in cryptsy chart, it's spiking already for the last day or so, massively. He caused the spike now he's trying to get people interested so they will buy it from him. Looks like he's out of Doge now. I don't think that's him.

The top 4 are probably exchanges like Cryptsy and Vault of Satoshi.

Yes, but memes have one characteristic: They vanish almost as fast as they appear. I have seen many altcoins coming and going. DOGE doesn't really differ. It stands out because of the silliness of the meme, but surely not because of the skills of its devs.
Dogecoin actually has a larger community than all the other alt-coins put together, including Litecoin. Just sayin..

We're approaching Yet Another Blockheight Fix point. ( 480000 )
Does this fix only apply to qt builds like the last one? Yes, there were also a couple of precompiled ubuntu clients that had the limiter in them. All the linux builds on sexcoin.info now have that code disabled. If you built your own from the github source, it was disabled. The last block-height fix for windows was the build that has the 480000 limiter active. By the way, great post, planning and decisions. Maybe you could add some of the roadmap in the official website or the first post of the thread. I think a good communication from the devs is really important for any coin. Makes people confident with the project :-)
Agreed, and thanks for the positive attitude, its very appreciated We plan to sticky the roadmap on sexcoinforums. I'll look at sexcoin.info, and see where a good place to put it would be. Really cool, thanks Lava. Personally I see Sexcoins as somewhat of a gamble (as are all cryptos!) but the competent team behind it makes it worth it for me to invest in it. You guys have had many opportunities to dump your coins and cash out big, but the fact that you still continue to work hard even after the price has gone down makes me believe that this project will go far.

Is there any work being done to turn the difficulty up? It seems that a big part of the declining price is due to a HUGE amount of new coins being produced on a daily basis and then dumped with market orders. Worldcoin will have about the same amount of coins in the end and only a few thousand are mined every day. Of course they have other things going on aswell but I think the relative scarsity plays a large part in the price difference as well.

I too have wondered about the seeming lack of PR from the WDC team, but I figure they're waiting until the Scharmbeck release. It's actually quite refreshing to have a coin that favours development before pumping every little trivial thing. I'm not going to mention any names, but I think we all knew a few coins where the only things people talk about is the next media appearance. "We'll be mentioned on Keiser on the 24th, and someone talked about us in the comment on a CNN article!! Prices are sure to rocket now!" etc etc. Then when you look at what projects these coins have going they're usually non-existent. In view of this I applaud the WDC developers for wanting to have something substantial to promote before going all crazy with the PR stuff.

And it's over! 30 000 SXC sent to psybits for the awesome efforts. People had a lot of really good ideas in the begining but sadly the enthusiasm dwindled as the price went down together with the sinking Bitcoin price. Thankfully psybits delivered and for his contribution I've sent him the entire price. If anyone do have any new promotional ideas they are welcome to contact me and we could perhaps work something out, but as of now this competition is over ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Nah, it was one person. Whoever it was wants out. Is this coin premined? 15 BTC is nothing to scoff at, props to the buyer and congrats.
Nah probably someone who either bought at 45 and wants to take a quick 10+% or a bag-holder who bought higher and saw the buy wall as an opportunity to get out. Was this on Cryptsy? Seems to me that most of the volume there is made up of bots judging by the strange orders. 99% of the orderbook on any coin consists of less than 0.001 of a BTC. Probably a bot just got triggered as the price went up again. Cryptsy allows autoselling from wallet transfers. A lot of miners just constantly dumping small amounts. I don't agree with it, but each his own ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Ryan, dedicatedpool.com support/admin admin@dedicatedpool.com / IRC on freenode #dedicatedpool ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fdedicatedpool.com%2Fimages%2Fl.png&t=664&c=lv8GkH1N0oG2aA) Wow that explains it. Anything to get make a buck I guess.. Luckily we got Scharmbeck and quite possibly BTC-E in the future that will help stabilize the price ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Nope. It was pretty clear that is was a single person dumping a ton of coin. It went through in one order of ~8 BTC.
Huh, interesting Oh well, I would have bought them had I had more BTC on Cryptsy ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Personally I'm holding my coins at least for the rest of the year as I think WDC has the most competent team behind it with the exception of BTC itself.

A few more hours to go! I need to see the results posted here to make a judgment so you guys get a few more hours until I pick the winners. So far though I've seen many ideas but very little actual results with the exception of psybits massive efforts. To be honest I'm contemplating giving the entire purse to him unless someone can show anything substantial in the next few hours ^^

Allright guys we have a week left until the competition is over! Time to post what you have contributed with as well as getting the last bit of effort in. So far psybits is clearly in the lead so those who want to beat him will have to pick up the pace ^^

Is SEPA payment planned for Scharmbeck allowing Euro deposits or will it be a purely USD based platform?
