Well, after some days going down , today happened a big pump in cryptsy, it went from 0.00006112 to 0.00018500. was it just another pump & dump or this is going up again?
It deserve to go up again; people are still around believing in the coin, just need more poeple to comeback so the coin is traded and mines actively CAT hibernating... without strong activity from committed investors/promoters to the world outside of the crypto community... looks to me that a full-time professional marketing team would be required nowdays to make success out of an altcoin, given the numerous competition among all possible altcoins... still, CAT might have a chance to ride on the DOGs tail at some point |

Someone dump a lot in Cryptsy and the price drop to 0.0001XXX, this coin seems going to die soon. I slowly lose the faith, loss more than 5btc in this shit coin.
Is not only CAT thats being dumped, but 90% of the alts, including DOGE and some of the previous leaders. Should new money inflow come into BTC space, some of these "shit coins" with active dev and good concept will outperform big time. Its a difficult proposition however, to have long and strong enough patience, and even then success is not guaranteed. So no reason for those who lost patience not to dump - better for the other holders, please sell and CATs land then hopefully in ultra-patient or active hands. In any case, it is worth for the biggish holders to support the devs / donate / work on promotion outside... You are either part of this coin, or noone else to blame really - we didn't buy some service from a certain company, stuff happens, there is so much competition among alts - pick your winner and you might get lucky elsewhere... |

Hello everyone! Just wanted to send kindest greetings and thanks to all CAT community and devs who have been involved in improving and promoting the coin over the tough couple of weeks! Apologies I personally wasn't able to follow and contribute much recently due to work/travel, but I am looking forward to get back on track again soon. And it really looks like CATs have got their act together and stayed committed through the hard times - this is very encouraging! Still, the alt space is overcrowded as there is currently no much new net money inflow into cryptos, the amount of issued coins is huge, and even good coins/projects are now endagered or attacked by competition. So building up strong and growing community and keeping up constructive spirit remains crucial - best of luck to all CAT lovers and may the CAT be with you! And with some luck, BTC adoption get another larger leap soon - news are very supportive of that IMHO, which would also raise prices and increase money inflow into the alts, we'll see... Salut Kisa |

The logarithmic chart is way overbought. We could use a healthy retracement, like this:  dare to lean out of the window and state that 50%+ of BTC owners are long-term holders who won't ever panic because they made BTC their life's project. So the price would never consistently go down more than 50% from the previous top (unless for illiquid blips where everyone jumps in to buy)... well, we had the "healthy retracement" during yesterday's 121 crash print I guess that's it people, now range-bound for a few months 2-3K towards year end. and why do people call something a bubble at 11bn market cap? thats not the magnitude some globally famous bubble would have. 50x this would be bubbly, but then it would correspond to the new standard.... so, in summary, BTC is very dangerous in terms of shorting... could fall max 700 USD, but good chance of rise to 7000 USD in 1-2 years, exponential network effects - that's a very assymetric outcome. your choice how to position |

agree with slimepuppy and other loyal developers and supporters - this coin has soul, it requires long term dedication and care, we are here because we see purpose and enjoy working on a challenging project. Loyal cats bring patience and passioin to the table, ready to put aside egos, resolve disagreements, and disregard short-time profit considerations... we are aiming for the CAT to blossom in the long term and for sure wellcome those who choose to become a part of this project as their hobby or part-time work - there is much interesting and useful to be done for the months to come! or those who simply stay tuned, give their unconditional support and like this coin belonging to the CAT community is a priviledge, thats it =^.^= |

My wallet is stuck.. I'm connected to the network but I'm still stuck at 21908. I have entered the nodes in my config file as well.. I don't know why it's stuck. I've seen several great oppurrrrr tuna ties to mine cat coin very profitable but whats the point if I can't send to my wallet or cryptsy or coinex lol. How do I fix this? I love cats! And I had loved the catcoin as well but being out of sync sucks ass! O ya I also have the newest wallet as well.

Just a minor point, I'm not so sure about the new logo, "ç" is pronounced "s" in many languages such as my own which is french so that new logo can be read as "satsoin" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%87, just change the form a little bit to make a little different than C-Cedilla this seems a valid point - could make the coin tough sell in France, Portugal, Brazil, Catalonia, Turkey (all potentially big markets! plus perhaps Spain, Mexico Spanish-speaking US, and all of Latin America by implications) or to folks speaking these languages. Also would be potentially easy for later foes to attack CAT... @nebajoth & devs: worth brainstorming if somehow possible to address that? @kuroman: if this changed "a bit", then wouldn't be unicode symbol typable on any keboard? All valid concerns. but we are adopting it. People are adaptable and it is obvious we are using it as a "C" and will become further obvious we are adapting it to a currency symbol. If at some future time we feel it has lead to confusion we will look into changing this. all the proposed designs here have their strength and weaknesses, difficult to make a single choice. basically i don't dislike any of them. -> great idea with the golden paw (is that one easily traceable to cat?) -> great concept with the orange color and integrating coin into the cats body, plus using the unicode character -> strong vision of egyptian-style cat, the reason being this emphasizes more eternal and transcultural nature of cats race, including but beyond the domestic cat. it also adds some mystique and symbolic to the table. also let's not forget, there were very nice alternative CATcoin designs proposed on the thread before, just people don't participate any longer in the contest because they didn't feel appreciated perhaps. ultimately, though, I would argue, that CAT wallets could come in different designs on offer, even perhaps tailored to national subcommunities, or particular hobbies. It would be difficult to achieve consensus on one particular coin design, as there are many valid but different directions, serving various types of cat-affine people and subcommunitites. be it funny meme cat, neat cuddly cat, cool smart cat, cyber punk cat, mars landing cat, lucky symbol cat, cartoon cheeky cat, fairy tale cat, mystique antique cat a.s.o. that's why i would support rather generic logo which is acceptable to various proponents, and then contemplate how to move on with extending the CATcoin design offerings BTW. -did we forget "Cryptographic Anonymous Transaction", or do folks consider it to be too hard core for mainstream adoption ?? |

The price didn't crash because there is a real community and people that believes on the coin (I'm not a big holder not even close, but I believe in this coin and I've been supporting catcoin since day one and still doing so more than ever and I'm sure I'm not the only one as you can see from previous replies). the dumpers moved along, and now only faithfull owners left. Transfering in and out of of exchanges is still possible, but it is pretty slow right now! althought after the next 10 blocks I don't recomment any transfer, as the fork is imminent the fact that people can't transfer CATs into the exchanges to sell might be the other reason behind the price holding up. effectively, at this time the natural supply of CATs in the exchanges is skewed somewhat lower vs. any new demand. so please don't be surprised or scared at price drops following faster block times, unless excess supply pressure is offset by increasing new demand following the fork. |
