I permanently shut down the server this evening. Mineralscoin no longer has the following assets: - super node - checkpoint node - dns seed server - block explorer (cce.morningminerals.com) - website ( www.morningminerals.com) - github - twitter Domain disappear in June 2017.

Hello everyone. I have decided to stop maintaining Mineralscoin infrastructure and will no longer work on the wallet or any related service. There is simply no time for me to spend on the coin and I am facing enormous problems that make this coin basically a dead coin. And dead it is, since a corrupt transaction has brough the blockchain on its knees. In its current state MIN cannot be a dynamic and lightning fast coin it was supposed to be. Its code base, Novacoin, is hopelessly outdated to the point it's too hard and required to much resources to fix it. Some more information can be found here: http://www.morningminerals.com/?p=945That being said, don't trash your wallets. It may be useful should an exchange program be created together with a successor. I aplogize for not being able to meet your expectations. Please get in touch with Stronci if you'd like to help or start anew. Goodbye~

Still postponing further work on the wallet I've been entrusted by a business laptop from a friend who got infected by CTB Locker. Over 9000 documents have been encrypted and the ransom wasn't paid in time. I'll be busy for a while recovering stuff using data recovery & forensic software on the disk images.

Thank you! That's great news \(^_^\) When I'm done with today's tasks, I'll update the blog. Starting next Tuesday I can resume working on the (testnet) wallet trying to reduce a bit of the system load created by all the blocks we generate.

Okay It seems that the Block Explorer hosted on my blog was stuck since 12 days! After some investigation a troubleshooting, it's synchronizing again. For more information on the problem and the solution: http://www.morningminerals.com/?p=933Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you As for further development, it's on hold for now. I have to study for certification exams and my boss gave me a couple of weeks instead of the 4 months that are usually given... Considering how expensive it is, I don't have time to concentrate on something else right now. @vlizzjeffrey; Hi there! It's been such a long time since. I stopped going to our #scrypt channel as it was kinda dead and people left little by little anyway. How are you doing?

I'm currently testing various possibilities to reduce that system load of our wallet. The amount of POS blocks with tiny amount fills up the majority of the block chain. The latest iteration of and "accelerated" testnet is working at this moment. 500 POW blocks, POS starts at block 450, nStakeMinAge of 1 day instead of a few hours. nModifierInterval every 2 hours instead of every 12 hours and by block 700, it will switch to 60 seconds block time. Observation and discussion learned that these 30 seconds we had are not a law that blocks abide by, but merely a guideline. The blocks are produced much faster than 30 seconds, depending on the amount of clients staking and how many coins are stake-ready. Therefore, I look for a way to influence this. It's just an experiment I'm going to gauge its effect. There is also the issue of unconfirmed POS transactions (rejected by network) that poses a problem. It inflates the wallet.dat with garbage that should be purged. This is also something to look into in the future. With Cryptsy going down and Coinse not generating deposit addresses (at least for me), it means we have no trading platform anymore. Who's willing to open a market for Mineralscoin? We're not dead yet, it just takes lots of time with two when you've full time jobs and families etc.

Attention The Mineralscoin DNS seed server and morningminerals' block explorer will be shut down on the 7th of January due to server migrations: You are receiving this email because you have an active service with us in our Dallas location.
As a follow up with our previous announcement, we have the confirmed date for this physical migration.
We are going to migrate the servers in our Dallas facility to another building on 7 January 2016 after 9 PM CST.
We will make sure to have things migrated as quickly as possible without complications. We are planning to get everything back online in 1 hour.
The new datacenter is only a few miles away and in the same city. One of our admins will be on site during the migration to keep an eye on things. So we expect things will go smoothly.
Please note that there won't be an IP change. You'll just notice a downtime while we take the servers down and move them physically to the new racks in the new datacenter.
With this migration, we are expecting to grow faster as a result of bigger footprint and better connectivity with private peering with providers such as Cloudflare, Akamai, Google, AWS, Facebook, Netflix, etc.
Please prepare your applications for this downtime and make sure to backup your important data before the migration just in case.
If you have any questions regarding this migration, please open a ticket in your client area and please do not reply this email as this inbox is not maintained. Considering the different time zones, it is very likely that I will shutdown the servers around 3 PM CST and restart them the next day. It will be quite late at night for me and I get up at 5AM to go to work. The network shouldn't be affected by the super node disconnecting for a while. I'll re-establish the services as soon as possible. Thank you for understanding.

Guys! Why the wallet does not work? Lost 80000 minerals?! I am trying to synchronize the wallet, but nothing comes out, writes: "0 active connection to mineralscoin network"!!! Restarted the internet, computer, did not help. When you attempt to send a coin wallet just crashes, he works very unstable. Did you manage to synchronize your wallet?

@altcoiner- and @devid.roriho What version of the wallet are you using? The actual version is v1.1.1.0 You can find a list of working and stable nodes at http://cce.morningminerals.com/peers to add to Mineralscoin.conf if needed. This is by the way the block explorer we're working on to add functionality. When you start the wallet for the very first time, there is no wallet.dat file and the client crashes. It is normal and you can simply restart. The wallet comes with a number of seed nodes, so it should start synchronizing within a few minutes. If you're using an older version, the wallet will not find any nodes. It works on different ports and changes were made to the protocol version and private keys to secure the network and send alerts if required, for example when a new client will be released with important changes. @devid.roriho: if you keep the wallet.dat to which you transferred your MIN, they won't be lost. Just make sure to have the right client and eventually add a few nodes to your config. My 24/7 staking wallet has 16 connections. This is a screenshot from a test-wallet I just fired up: (click to zoom) It has already one connection right after starting up. The actual version of the wallet can be downloaded here: http://www.morningminerals.com/?page_id=732Synchronizing from zero can take several days, so you can accelerate it a little by using our bootstrap: http://www.morningminerals.com/?page_id=764Another way is using a snapshot of the blockchain: http://www.morningminerals.com/?page_id=862The difference is that bootstrap is feeding the blockchain from a local file instead of peers while the snapshot is an already indexed copy of the whole blockchain's database. This could be even faster than using the bootstrap. Just make sure to attentively read the instruction if you decide to use these methods. As for further development. We're still working on it. For further development on CCE: I'm taking Python courses during my free time, but having changed jobs in a sector that's totally new for me, so there's a lot of other training I've to go through. But rest reassured, it's not abandoned I hope this information will be helpful.

Still active development here??
Not in the sense of coins like Blackcoin or others with a big team of developers and such, but we're trying to keep this one alive and doing our best. Currently the coin itself is not being changed or anything, but we're adding a few things to the block explorer. It's not useless stuff, but it needs to be done before tackling the actual betting and how to implement it. I've started with courses on Python and Jinja, since I am not accustomed with them, to be able to add these required additional features.

Hi alt19 It's hard to answer this question, since we don't know how much Mineralscoin will be taking part of staking in the future. In August, there was about 1.9M MIN being staked. I suppose this amount won't drastically increase while our coin is holding its actual status in development and interest by the public. Based on these numbers, I think you can use the following data for now? Is this what you had in mind? Year

Well... I think it's painstakingly slow and people give up on it? Although we try to get this back on track, we're by no means experienced or professional developers. Everything is new and almost everything has to be learned from scratch. It's still going to take a while as we are currently focusing on adding features to cce.morningminerals.com as Stronci already mentioned. And there is only a limited amount of time we can spend on it, unfortunately. It's not like we can ignore our jobs for Mineralscoin for example.

|
Hi o/ While we're working on implementing the features introduced by Stronci last week, we've decided to phase out Mineralscoin ABE and deploy Mineralscoin CCE. CCE is the foundation of what you see in the post above For more information about Mineralscoin CCE, please visit http://www.morningminerals.com/?p=914 or http://cce.morningminerals.com if you want to use it immediately

Good afternoon! Today we'd like to introduce a more fancy block explorer hosted by CryptoID It's has a lot of interesting features which may appeal to most of you. Check out the small introduction here or head over directly to the explorer here. For your convenience, the link was added to Morning Minerals' services menu.

The new logo, name & wallet has been picked up by CoinGecko -> https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/mineralscoinThere's still work work to be done for a proper official website (and forum?), or a subreddit and a twitter account, but no need to rush things, right. We're slowly gaining some visibility again. In the meantime, we're hoping that Cryptsy and Coins-e will notice the change as well...

Today, we proudly present the new Mineralscoin Wallet v1.1.1.0 After several months of studying paper, doing research and digging through thousands of lines of code to gain a fair understanding about the inner workings of crypto currency, we started working on updating the wallet in order to revive our beloved crypto currency. You were already acquainted with the new face of Mineralscoin. Today, you can get acquainted with a new wallet, that definitively breaks with its past and is geared towards the future. In order to prepare the path for Mineralscoin, the following aspects have been modified and certain required features added in order to secure the network from mending by 3rd parties: General Features
| Graphics | Updating Mineralscoin logo and graphics | Seed Nodes | Introducing (DNS) Seed Nodes to the network | Fallback Nodes | Adding a set of fallback nodes | Checkpoints | Introducing a set of checkpoint to the blockchain | Alerts | Introducing the ability for us to broadcast alerts | Livenet-specific Features | Checkpoint Keys | Checkpoint keys to validate checkpoints on the network | Alert Keys | Replacing the keys by a new key pair allowing us to broadcast alerts | Bootstrap | Accelerating the importing of the blockchain for new clients | Testnet-specific Features | Genesis Block | Creation of a new genesis block to launch "Testnet-1" | Checkpoints | Testing and creation of checkpoints | Checkpoint Keys | Testing checkpoint validation by Checkpoint Nodes | Alert Keys | Testing Alert broadcasting on a network | Bootstrap | Testing creation and loading for a bootstrap file | Downloading Mineralscoin v1.1.1.0Pre-compiled binaries for Windows, Ubuntu 14.02 and OpenSUSE 13.2 as well as the source code can be downloaded from our Github release page located at https://github.com/AkiraTakizawa/Mineralscoin/releases/tag/v1.1.1.0-R1 or by selecting one of the wallets directly below: Important Note! Please note that some technical aspects have changed as well. This is important if you wish to continue using your existing data located in your current "Minerals" directory! P2P and RPC portsPort | v1.1.0.0 | v1.1.1.0 | Livenet P2P Port | 33442 | 33555 | Livenet RPC Port | 33441 | 33557 | Testnet P2P Port | 33444 | 33556 | Tetnet RPC Port | 33443 | 33558 |
Unless you wish to custom port number which you can specify in your configuration files, nothing special should be done. Working DirectoriesMineralscoin v1.1.1.0 uses a new directory to store its wallet and blockchain data. It is highly recommended that you rename your directory from Minerals to Mineralscoin as shown in the table below. Attention: If you don't rename, the wallet will crash on first run. Your previous Minerals v1.1.0.0 wallet and blockchain will be unaffected. However, the required Mineralscoin directory and a new wallet.dat will be created. On second launch, it uses this newly created files and will start downloading the whole blockchain again from scratch. OS | v1.1.0.0 | v1.1.1.0 | Windows XP | %userprofile%\Application Data\Minerals | %userprofile%\Application Data\Mineralscoin | Windows Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 | %userprofile%\Appdata\Roaming\Minerals | %userprofile%\Appdata\Roaming\Mineralscoin | Linux | ~/.Minerals | ~/.Mineralscoin | OS X | ~/Library/Application Support/Minerals | ~/Library/Application Support/Mineralscoin |
Please note that the name of this directory is case-sensitive! Configuration FileMineralscoin v1.1.1.0 also introduces a new configuration file Mineralscoin.conf. Please rename your old Minerals.conf to Mineralscoin.conf if you wish to keep your existing configuration settings. v1.1.0.0 | v1.1.1.0 | Minerals.conf | Mineralscoin.conf |
Please note that the name of this file is case-sensitive! *pout* I don't want to change all this stuff!Although we strongly advise against using the old Minerals directory and files, it is possible to keep using the old files and directories. You can force the new wallet to use the old directory by adding the datadir= and conf= directives to your configuration file or by launching it from the command line, for example by issuing the command Mineralscoin-qt.exe -datadir=C:\Users\Stubborn User\AppData\Roaming\Minerals -conf=C:\Users\Stubborn User\AppData\Roaming\Minerals\Minerals.conf on a Windows 8 machine. Help! Help!We are positive that the transition to this new wallet won't be too complicated. Should you still experience problems, please ask for help on Bitcointalk or Twitter. If you have a Github account, you can also submit an issue on our Mineralscoin repository. The Q&A pages on Morning Minerals can also be used if you prefer.

Hey Hoshimaru, any update on when the next step for minerals will be coming? Has be quite some time of silence now It's true that's there has been a long moment of silence. Myself, I kinda took slowed down a little because of other RL stuff that's going on and needs solving as well. Don't be worried. We're working on increasing the available super nodes on the network and offer alternatives to explorer.morningminerals.com The one worked on a while ago, with this text-based browser screenshot, is operational, but we are looking to add a few features to it to increase its usability and value of information about several aspects of the coin.
