looks like i was overcharged as well. .65 cents (~.8%) in fees when it should been .23 (.3%)
not a big deal but still...

i canceled and resubmitted a few times.
Just looked and it finally went through so perhaps their servers simply can't handle the load.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WOOT! MtGox Trading is ON :) on: June 26, 2011, 07:53:51 PM
i am unable to trade on mt gox.  the order is in queue and hasn't been processed even though the asking price is a bit below the highest bid price

i now have a separate entry under open orders which states "not enough funds"
the asking price is still lower than the highest bid yet the coins are not being sold. any idea what's going on with their system?
also can i transfer directly from mt gox to tradehill or do I have to transfer back to my wallet first?

doesn't seem like it.  My sell order has been in queue for around 15 minutes and it's a bit below the highest bid price

9  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 5870 running at 385 mHash/sec! on: June 16, 2011, 03:30:54 AM
I'm getting 83C temps and 330Mhashes/sec on my Asus matrix 5870 2GB clocks @ 982/1245

Is that normal? Cause from reading here it doesn't seem like it is?

Pretty sure these cards just run hotter than normal even with the jet engine of a fan they have.
I'm currently running one at 427 Mhash/s and have a 2nd on the way for crossfire.  Temp is at 83C in an 29C degree room.  This is with the fan at 100% and the case open with a large window fan pointed at the card.  I'm thinking of taking the card apart and reapplying thermal compound.
Clocks are 990/600 set through the Catalyst Control Center.  I tried using the Asus itracker software but it causes more crashes than it's worth.

everything working great here.

one request though, if you could add total reward (confirmed + unconfirmed) to the json feed?  that would be really awesome. I check stats on the go from my phone.

hey changed the server address and added ip white listing..might be why you're having problems
12  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: .5BC to the person who can fix what is going on. on: June 14, 2011, 01:14:29 AM
for slush try the new address and get your ip whitelisted as mentioned.

another thing that kept happening to me was I would shut down gui miner without saving my profile so when I would restart the password would be incorrect.  sounds simple but you never know.

Hi, use http not https, that's how I got it to work for me
14  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Cooperative mining (1.3Thash/s) on: June 09, 2011, 03:15:40 PM
slush, first off love the pool. it's been working out really well for me.

I wanted to ask though if you could add total reward to the json feed?  then I wouldn't have to manually add them up each time..
I'm using the json explorer app for iphone to keep track of my earnings when I'm not at home which is pretty handy

A tip for those who want text message notifications:

Use your phone number's email address as the notification email address.

I.e., I am on AT&T USA so my email would be xxxxxxxxxx@txt.att.net

I'm quite surprised no one has brought this up, I've seen multiple threads where people are asking for SMS notifications.

wow that's a great idea, thanks.  Grin

will json explorer work with other pools?  you would just need the correct address yes?
17  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BTCMine - mining pool (long polling, SSL, JSON API) on: June 07, 2011, 08:34:28 PM
quick question, i was working on that huge block that just completed 129251 for quite awhile and had about .05 in estimated bounty built up.  I then had to stop the miner for awhile, during that time the block finished and my bounty went to zero.  Shouldn't I still get something for my partial contribution to that block or do you have to be mining at the time the block is found?  sorry for the dumb question, I'm new at this.  Thanks
