Driver modding didnt work. Still 5 cards max on new drivers.
|
|
|
I found a guru3d thread about a driver modder http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=379516Its meant for enabling support for legacy cards on new drivers, but maybe it can enable new card support on old drivers too. Tomorrow when I get home I'm going to try to mod the Novemeber AMD driver to work with the RX 570. In the meantime feel free to try it yourself. PS: Device ID for RX 570 and 580 was already in drivers since November

Anyone have RX 570 or 580?
AMD's newest driver only support 5 cards, BSOD on the 6th. I tried 6 470s same problem.
Have anyone had any luck getting 6 RX 570 or 580 working on Windows 10? I'm not sure if the older drivers will let me install.

It's harder to tell my average hashrate on this pool but I'm loving the variable diff ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I was using flypool last week and each rig used about 4GB including download and uploads. This pool is barely using any data thanks to the difficulty. Thanks ocminer!
|
|
|
Avoid using flypool if you are low on bandwidth.
flypool is fixed to a low difficulty. I just switched to suprnova, we'll see how it goes.

All the pools are showing ridiculous difficulties. Can someone with a wallet check the actual difficulty please?
which coin wallet do you suggest to use? ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Ayyyy lmao you got me there. Can someone compile a god damn wallet already? I could but I have some assignments to do.

zDASH makes it sound there will be masternodes.
It's Zdash, and no masternodes are planned. Not even POS? People get tried of this same source. That will maybe come with fork as zDASHx Someone will fork this and call it ZdashClassic, with 0% premine. LOL
|
|
|
Be aware: Premine = 121475 Coins Equals 9718 blocks About 576 blocks daily Time taken to mine that = 16,87152777777778 days of free mining.
Lets compare Zclassics rate at bottom of 0.002 Btc
0.002 Btc x 121475 Coins = 242,95 BTC Premine
Your Mistaken, it would equate to 242.95 BTC worth of ZDASH if it was valued at 0.002 BTC per coin, there are bounties for those coins too if you fully read the Announcement. Comma and the dot can both mean decimal point.

Anybody else having problems with their GPUs?
My R9 Fury X started behaving really strangely. It idles at 65C instead of 27, and as soon as I start mining/playing a game it starts overheating, and after a time the computer just stops.
My rigs are totally fine, but the thing why I think it is related to mining is because I was running 6.0 on my computer when it restarted for the first time (this morning) and since then I can not make it work again.
I tried with a different windows, and I got the same behaviour. Any ideas? (the GPU is still under warranty so I am not worried)
had a similar problem with one of my 480 after update to v7 I tried re installing the driver but no change, this one GPU just kept overhead but after a few restarts of the miner and hard reboot problem rectified its self,as said check your fan and pump are ok then make sure ur running stock settings hard boot PC and try starting miner a couple of times to see if it fixes its self like mine did Have you checked to see the fan is spinning, not jammed or broken? If it is fine, the issue is most likely the thermal paste between the core and heatsink is broken Thanks for the help! The BIOS was not modded and I did not overclocked it at all. The fan is still working and strangely the air that it blows out is cold (even though it says that the GPU is at 70C). So I assume it is the thermal paste then. The good thing is that I managed to get a replacement for the GPU that will arrive in 2 days. Maybe the pump is dead? If the radiator is cold then pump is dead.

My bank account disappeared so I can't withdraw.
Tried to add it again and says duplicate withdraw info.
Help?
Edit: I re added the info with a different name and it let me withdraw, but do I have to wait for Kraken to re-confirm my bank account? I need the money pretty soon.

ASUS RX 470 underclocked 1100 core 1800 mem
540 H/s
140W from wall with EVGA 1000W G2, Celeron Dual core, ASrock H97 Mobo. ETH + SC uses about 180W.
Does Monero like fast memory? High core clocks?

Small update: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FgQ2LFCv.jpg&t=663&c=CzQCeob18tekZg) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F883MXNG.jpg&t=663&c=LiWRAb2ryxLK4A) I might look into helping out with the wallet upgrade, but I will be mainly focusing on making my own coin. It will have features that some of you may find very useful. Unfortunately my idea will require a major overhaul of the core codes and I think it would be best if I fork Vertcoin with the new features added in. The features I want to add will change how the blocks are stored and the contents of the blocks. In the meantime, I will be adding more features to the UI and will test it thoroughly. Hopefully I can get it ready before my school starts. I'd be starting my third year in Computer Engineering soon.

A little bit of progress... Lots of placeholders. The wallet balance is real and updated every 10 seconds. Network hash, difficulty, etc., are all updated every 10 seconds. I figured it'd be nice to have info like that on a wallet. Adding exchange rates soon. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FTNMlwPb.jpg&t=663&c=x3krJKEWTky3yw) Once I finish the wallet UI, I will make a great coin with my original ideas ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

I suppose a big error... I have noticed if pool goes offline (like nanopool now) miner hangs with my whole rig...
Besides I noticed yesterday that 6.2 version shows only 32celsius on one card, restart helps
I can't go on nanopool's website, but mining is fine...

v6.2:
- released version for Linux with nvidia support. - fixed Ethereum solo mining mode. - added "-cvddc" and "-mvddc" options for adjusting voltages for latest AMD 4xx cards. - now you can turn on/off cards in runtime with "0"..."9" keys. - bug fixes.
Thank you for the voltage new feature! Its really useful for the memory. But if we use only one voltage value for the gpu, we lose the option to undervolt more if the gpu throttles. For example, if the cpu throttles between 1075mhz and 1145mhz we can go also from 860mV to 900mV. But using only one voltage value, this value needs to be the biggest value for the higher frequency. This doesn't matter if you use a fixed gpu frequency, but when using all the gpu power states may be will be interesting to add a voltage table according to that gpu states. Anyway, seems that from state 3 to 7 the voltage scalability is lineal, so, maybe its easyer to implement a method to add/subtract voltage to all states. At this point you might as well edit the BIOS and flash all your GPUs.

Thanks Claymore.
I'm going to keep mining Vertcoin for now since I don't want to waste hours getting Win 7 and setting things up.
The basement is at 36C right now, I'd rather not get a heat stroke.

Anybody tried 6.2 with multiple Pascal cards?
Will try when I get home. With 6.1 I got about 30MH/s total for 4 1070s with latest drivers...
