Anybody else having problems with their GPUs?

My R9 Fury X started behaving really strangely. It idles at 65C instead of 27, and as soon as I start mining/playing a game it starts overheating, and after a time the computer just stops.

My rigs are totally fine, but the thing why I think it is related to mining is because I was running 6.0 on my computer when it restarted for the first time (this morning) and since then I can not make it work again.

I tried with a different windows, and I got the same behaviour. Any ideas? (the GPU is still under warranty so I am not worried)

Just a quick question, would this miner work on 6990 ? These cards have 2x2GB of memory and they mined Eth pretty good... Just asking because I can get two of those for free... that's 4 GPU's more Wink

Yes it definately works with the 6990.

Total speed 10 H/s using only 300 Watts (both cores)

Are you overclocking via afterburner or such from startup?

Did you flash a modded bios to the Fury X?

This seems terrible, the 7870 with 2gbs gets 100-110 H/s and uses ~140-150 watts.

Have you checked to see the fan is spinning, not jammed or broken?

If it is fine, the issue is most likely the thermal paste between the core and heatsink is broken

had a similar problem with one of my 480 after update to v7 I tried re installing the driver but no change, this one GPU just kept overhead but after a few restarts of the miner and hard reboot  problem rectified its self,as said check your fan and pump are ok then make sure ur running stock settings hard boot PC and try starting miner a couple of times to see if it fixes its self like mine did

any chance you will begin to work on nvidia and cuda? amd is reaching is limit already i don't think it's possible to do high improvement anymore
on the other hand a 1070 is stuggling to have 125 sol and it should be 160 at the very least, and i think it might be higher, up to 180...

I still can improve speed, though it requires more and more efforts and time. It seems about 300H/s on stock 390X is possible. So it's not over for AMD yet and therefore I don't have time for NVidia.

Lol 300 pper card will be awesome, but what power ussage?

Hi Claymore,

i just asked this before..... but just see how much faster the version 7 is to the version 1.

Is there a chance that a version of the claymore zcash Miner will work on  1 GB HD7XXX cards ?

Thanks for your work and have a pleasant weekend !

Yes, it works. My 7770's are solving at 44 sol/s, with 1GB of memory each.

sorry2xs

Maybe your setup sucked from the start?

how much experience do you have setting up these rigs?

what hardware are you using all together?

Maybe it's easier to pinpoint your error than putting the blame on a dev?

thousands of users are running this.

thanks!

thats his motherboard connector (obviously) maybe he is not using the right PSU? if he could list all the items in his setup it would be easier to know.

thanks!
