2  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: July 31, 2017, 12:07:46 PM
Revised Odds:

1) Btc-e does a deal with the US, pays fine, re-opens: 10% (smart business)
2) Btc-e runs with the money 1% (dumb)
3) Btc-e gives the US the finger and re-opens under a new domain: 25% (Russian style big balls)
4) Feds take all funds and keep it for the benefit of humanity: 2% (crypto apocalypse)
4) Feds take funds and refund people in a reasonable timeframe: 1% (bleak)
5) Btc-e refunds users: 61% (true love)

These statistics are 100% accurate, please do not argue with the truth

Wait what? Where is the blowjob? :O

Sweden
I sold of bitcoin some years ago. When in contact with tax authoroties (skatteverket) I was eventually told to declare the money as capital gains and pay 30% tax on it - and so I did :\.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][HVC] Heavycoin - CPU-only, Ultra-secure, Decentralized Voting on: March 07, 2014, 09:47:36 AM
Quick update.  We are in really good shape.

Launch plan: check
Launch tests: check
Wallets: check
RPC mining: check
forked cpuminer: check
forked MPOS: check

The only bit that we are still working on is stratum mining.  It's a bit more involved than usual because Heavycoin has a modified block header structure.

Nomisugi's forked MPOS is looking really nice, but we need to test all components are working together and for that we need stratum mininig.

If I connect my cpuminer to my RPC wallet daemon, what do I specify voting as?

hahah lol the story that you're telling me is exactly what you plan to do with this coin.
I can write down in some quick sentences like this:

- I'm a dev of what ever garbage coin.
- Im going to release a brand new coin with brand new algo (well, actually combinition of ton existing algos lol, plus a protection called HUF... something)
- I'm want to get ppl attention like MAX and even RIE but i dont have a big daddy like Max Kaiser, the IPO is solution to get money from investors.
- So i borrow all my friends to have 20 BTC, then i invest them all to 5.000.000 pre-mine coin. Actually, i will not lose any thing from 20 BTC because the IPO address is my BTC address lol lol.
- After very big official, fair launch, i have almost 5.000.000 pre-mined HVC but ppl cannot yelling/complaining that this is pre-mined coin, it's an IPO, not pre-mine.
- Now i can pay 1.000.000 to any big exchange to get HVC on board.
- Finally, when ppl are still mining very hard, diff is kind of skyrocket day by, i'm very easily dump my 5.000.000 HVC to get the profit (note that, before that, i have return back 20 BTC to all my friends, i dont have to pay any single shatoshi). As my estimation, after slowly dump out all 5.000.000 HVC i cannt get back 20-50 BTC. Note that, this dumpping must be very very slowly, may be 1-2 BTC a day to keep price stable and keep miners trusting on mining profit lol  Grin

quoted for truth.

I'm still getting some PM's about getting my optimized miner.  For the moment, I advise people not to unless you really want to mine hard for the next few hours.  Given jh00's experience optimizing the xpm miner, and given the chat on ypool, people should assume that until proven otherwise, the ypool miner will blow everything else out of the water for a while.  Wait until it's released and we have a comparison before wasting donations on mine.
I hope that sources or linux binary will be released, otherwise it can be an insane to run wine

Problem is that jh00s miner wont be able to solomine
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RIC] Riecoin, new prime numbers POW coin, launches Feb 11, 2014 on: February 13, 2014, 10:23:27 PM
run:
listtransactions '*'

It will show you any orphaned blocks.
what does '*' mean here? afaik 'riecoind listtransactions' shows everything  we need

The asterisk shows all transactions including immature and orphans. I think that without it, you won't see immature and possible orphans. I don't have any immature blocks so I can't double check this.

orphans and immature shows without wildcard

No software whatsoever required? The fuck is this shit?
Who's going to run the network, your crew of "PR people"?

No whitepaper, nothing but vague ideas and you announce it?

Credability -> None.

17  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoinwisdom chart on: December 30, 2013, 01:04:42 PM
I don't work nor have I studied trading to the extent that I'm familiar with the different charts and how they work.

I was also confused about the time interval setting, but became clear that as opposed to bitcoinity (where you see the bitcoin timeframe), the timeinterval refers to the "candles/trends".

The bottom staples are just referring to volume of the candles.

The only thing that I havn't grasped is what the 2 linear lines represent - one brown and one blue?

I don't know how to do this most secure for both partys really, I was told one that i you "masspay" chargeback is not possible - its heresay but if thats true I could do that if we do small chunks at a time.

I'm wanting to spend 5k USD roughly.
