1  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Guns - Why do we need them? on: February 28, 2018, 06:57:35 PM
I always watch active self protection Youtube videos. Based on the videos shown there, the defender/victim have a higher chance of survival if he or she fights back especially with a gun rather than without.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: February 14, 2018, 06:59:38 PM
If there is E-gold that has no holding fee then i would choose gold. Therefore, i would choose the Bitcoin in a Trezor wallet. I have never been disappointed in bitcoin.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: Why I am quitting ICO's on: February 14, 2018, 06:20:12 PM
About ICOs,

I will take caution on the ICO myself. I think the opportunity to invest on new project is when they reach the exchange. I plan to buy ETH and hold it until the ratio of the ICO that i want is cheaper. When the ICO reached the exchange it removes a lot of risk of: scam like the other ICO you do not even see in the crytomarketcap; or the contract address being hacked like CDT; or project not being released like Tezos. It also removes the speculation and hype of the the project when it is tested in the market.

The fact that almost all of the ICO does not have a working project or it is still in alpha, most investors who bought on the ICO will sell it early, weather for instant profit or FUD.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long Term Invests on: February 14, 2018, 05:59:04 PM
Since everything have settled now, i think BTC will go up 1st then the alts. For long term you can never go wrong with BTC and ETH. They may look expensive right now but in the long run will look cheap. Worst mistake of people is investing in high returns and not taking their profit and then losing all their money when their investments crash. It is also good to join twitter to stay updated of the developers of your invested coin so you know when to hold or sell.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What to buy when the BTC falls? on: December 27, 2017, 08:41:18 AM
If BTC drops, buy more BTC because it will go up first before the alts. After the BTC goes up, use it to buy the alts that you are considering for more than just buying the alts outright. You will have leverage that way. BTC > Stable coins > Alts > BTC > Alts then drop is what i think the cycle in crypto.

However selling prematurely or even to tether could lose potential gains. Hodl and buy on dips is the best strategy imo, unless you have emergency like a loss of job then you must sell. But never take a loan to bet on crypto.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best coins for January/February 2018 on: December 27, 2017, 08:29:01 AM
As much as i wanted to speculate, i will try to avoid random suggestions of alts. I do follow my favorite developers on twitter and do research on what they mention/excited about. If i do like the project, then i will consider joining in its ICO. Anyhow, I am mostly excited about Aragon for the next 3 years.

My additional advise to others is not to sell your coin even if you lost most of its value, just let it be either 0 or 10x or more.  I have sold my NXT, ETH, and LTC prematurely. Missed out on 100x returns.

P.S. I hate trading. I will just Hodl.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptocurrency Market Cap Predictions for 2018 on: December 27, 2017, 08:22:36 AM
The market right now is similar to 2013, which is really really high. IMO the market cap will go down. I would estimate it to be around ~$300 Billion market cap on average on 2018.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [IML] [ICO] IMMLA - First International MultiModal Logistic Application on: September 14, 2017, 09:55:35 PM
Im dissappointed. I was expecting 0.1% of the supply. Now, I can't afford it. It is just too expensive. I told you from the beginning that it is important to build the community 1st. I sent 50 eth on pre ico. How much will i get on the buy back?

Technology is very dynamic. Just because you made the 1st move, does not mean you will dominate the market or create a moat around it. i guess im just going to wait for the next logistic ico.

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: September 12, 2017, 07:02:11 AM
Nobody is asking me about it at work. I kept telling them about it before, like 5 years ago. When i mentioned it to my co-worker today, he thought you cannot buy things with bitcoins. One person keeps asking me how my investments are in bitcoins but he did want to buy any bitcoins.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [IML] [ICO] IMMLA - First International MultiModal Logistic Application on: September 12, 2017, 06:57:32 AM
I just watched the pre-alpha. It looks awesome. I am glad to have invested on Pre-ico and supported it early. Good luck on ICO. I would probably buy some more.
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: August 07, 2017, 07:38:54 AM
I would say it is not too late to buy bitcoin but i would definitely not buy any right now when it is all time high. It is better than putting your money in bitcoin than in savings account though but you need to learn how bitcoin works and how to protect bitcoins before investing most of your money from it.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Aug 1 summary on: August 07, 2017, 07:34:17 AM
I am trying to clam my free bitcoin cash. My idea is:

Transfer all the bitcoin from wallet A(my blockchain.info wallet) to wallet B(my new web wallet BTC.com). Now my second wallet(which is BTC.com) has an option to recover the Bitcoin cash. I believe I can use this in built tool(https://blog.btc.com/the-ultimate-guide-to-get-your-bitcoin-cash-a0c2c96f334) to recover the BCC and transfer it to my BCC wallet. My private keys on both the wallet A and Wallet B remains untouched. Can I do this? Is that ok? Please guide me.

Can I go ahead with this? Will it work? anyone?

Yes sounds good. I used electron-cash on mine to claim my BCC using the private keys.

What will happen to the unsold tokens?

Youtube videos are great. But i think its better if they speak russians and have a subtitles translated to english instead.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: COINDASH - Future of trading - Token Sale 17th July 2017 on: July 17, 2017, 06:19:04 PM

Yes fill it up. They cannot hack you just by telling them your address and transaction Hash. All the information required can be found in the etherscan without opening your wallet. if you know your address. People should get a ENS so they can check their wallet constantly without opening or memorizing their address. You can search my address https://etherscan.io/enslookup?q=gildarsh.eth for example.

It is unfortunate but this hacking happened because of their "White list" that sounds like racist. It puts other people who does not belong in the whitelist to be like a 2nd rate citizen. Other ICO in the past are able to provide the ETH address 2 days before the ICO. People are able to verify the contract of the ICO publicly before the ICO started. But since there is a Whitelist, they could not publish the address just to give unfair advantage to their "Early Supporters." Therefore, it created an opportunity to the hacker to hacked the website just after the timer started.  As an investor who missed out on the other iCO because it finishes so quickly, we did not bother checking the address. We just add the address and send it immediately without even checking the address if it is a contract or not. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7288nKEgxRJRTJfX0p2VTQtVTg
In the image you can compare the 2 addres - 1 is from the contract in IMMLA (other ICO) and the other is the fake coindash address (not a contract).

I already accepted that i messed up because i did not check the address. But i am happy with the response of the Coindash team to still give our my CDT (Hopefully). Next time I will check the address before sending them, safety 1st ofcourse. Also, I hope in the future ICOs, people should go against the whitelist and request transparency of the ETH address so we can review it.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] A2B.Direct - Full Cycle Platform for Bulky Cargo Delivery on: July 09, 2017, 01:03:19 AM
As soon as somebody started a blockchain in Logistics, 2 ICO pop up. I will only invest in 1 of them though. There is another Logistics - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2007562.new#new

To save us trouble doing research... what do you think is your advantage compare to your competitors? or soon to be competitor?

Who are your partners in this business?

I am interested and will keep an eye on this project. Thank you!

Nice Video! It is very informative. However, your link in Twitter - https://t.co/JbCugwANUF will redirect you to a weird website asking you to download stuffs. Please Fix it. You guys still need to work on building the community. Having malicious links like this is probably not a good PR.

Is this a new blockchain or Smart Tokens build on top of Ethereum? Just wondering cuz people asking about release of wallet.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ICO coming soon: FUDSTER VISA CARD on: July 07, 2017, 04:27:23 PM
Why are you limiting you potential to only a mere $21m? You are asking for trouble there.  Best ICO right now are uncapped, so make yours uncapped for a year. Also, make your ICO into smart contract in ETH only straight to a mixer. LOL.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FNC] FinCoin (fincoin.co) on: July 07, 2017, 04:21:47 PM
This coins is like one of those in the Bitcoin Era. You really should consider moving on to the smart contract instead of just copy of bitcoin. This is just another POS + Debit card. So far, TenX is the most promising card in cryptocurrency that i know of. There is nothing to see or to wait here imo.
