I finally found the solution for the ones stuck with there BCC in the electron cash wallet because of electrum 2FA wallet. error : rejected mandatary 16..... in your electron cash wallet. choose new/restore from your menu. choose restore and choose make 2fa wallet, NOT standard import old wallet by enter your seed he will confirm that it is a 2fa wallet and ask if you want to keep or disable, choose DISABLE now you will see your new wallet, with your BCC, and the trusted 2fa symbol right below corner will say it is disabled. put the server on electroncash.casharia... or electrum.abc.... send your bcc to your exchange bcc address.. and there they go, no rejection anymore

I was expecting this. I didn't sell my bitcoins and am very pleased. It now remains to solve the issue with conditions that will stimulate the development of trade with bitcoin. Sooner or later all the coins will be mined and the income of the miners will only process transactions. I think it's better to do more transactions, but less if it will promote growth of popularity of bitcoin.
same situation here dude, i also hold my bitcoin till the big one ended. So happy for the results. Glad that now bitcoin is now stable thank God segwit now is running. Thanks for this summary thread atleast we have a grasp of what really happen. Good read.

Thank for your efforts in helping us to be instructed hence there could have been a lot of mistake, I never intend to sell my bitcoin for now and am OK with that. But my worries in few days back was how to be guided in the process of splitting bitcoin and bitcoin cash but the above explanation it is easy to go about the split except my wallets or exchange comes of with otherwise. Jully- August is most challenging month in bitcoin business both to miners and exchangers.

I think this drama will continue until BCH disappears as a scam;) It can't be seen as a scam as there aren't any victims here. Even at current levels you can dump your BCH slightly over the 0.06BTC mark ~ that for free money isn't a bad deal, right? People feel like they are losing because they were looking at the initial phase where the price went over 0.4BTC at the time deposits were not allowed. It's funny that despite they have obtained free assets without doing anything, they still get mad and disappointed ~ that seriously doesn't make any sense in this case.

The only thing I wanted to add. Is that this is a prime time for scammers. I haven't seen them yet but I'm waiting on a collection of websites, downloadable software, and maybe even apps that promise to make your transition for things like BTC to bitcoin cash securely, easily or whatever set of sales terms they decide to use. So need to follow the instructions here .

<snip> Also, can someone list an exchange that will generate a new deposit address for each transaction?
Otherwise how are we supposed to stay private? Sending all of your coins into the same address, it's pretty dumb. You should use a different address for each public key, but the problem is, the exchanges i've tested don't generate new deposit addresses.... what can be done?
Bitfinex generates new deposit addresses on request, I think. hitbtc.com does Good, I'll try registering one of these later. Hopefully they don't request your personal info for crypto transactions. But in any case, the amount of transactions one would need to sell is ridiculous. How are you supposed to make 50 transactions or more, when the BCash network is so damn slow? By the time I get all my BCH on the exchange, it will be worth nothing. 1 single transaction seems to take hours, and I need more than 50 transactions....

I am trying to clam my free bitcoin cash. My idea is: Transfer all the bitcoin from wallet A(my blockchain.info wallet) to wallet B(my new web wallet BTC.com). Now my second wallet(which is BTC.com) has an option to recover the Bitcoin cash. I believe I can use this in built tool( https://blog.btc.com/the-ultimate-guide-to-get-your-bitcoin-cash-a0c2c96f334) to recover the BCC and transfer it to my BCC wallet. My private keys on both the wallet A and Wallet B remains untouched. Can I do this? Is that ok? Please guide me.

Thanks for sharing this hepful information but there something I really don't understand and I would like to know if BCH and BCC are different or they are both the same? Thank you
There is no simple answer or it's both Yes and No. Bitcoin Cash was initially advertised as BCC and that's the way it is listed on some exchanges, but there is another cryptocurrency named BitConnect which was using BCC before that, so some exchanges have changed it to BCH Put in other words - both BCH and BCC are used for Bitcoin Cash, but BCC is also used for two different currencies: BitConnect and Bitcoin Cash ... just to make things more complicated or because someone haven't made his homework to check that BCC was already used. Hope this answers your question.

I heard they wanted their own coin too around august? Im lossing it with so many hardforkers. It's hard to keep up with this shit really. Why did you even bring up Bitcoin Classic in this? You should be using the Bitcoin Cash client to access the coins on the other chain.

We had to wait for 3 confirmations before august 1st.
I had a transaction yesterday from Gdax to Gemini and I had to wait for 6 confirmations.
Is it only Gemini or all exchanges wait for 6 confirmations?
