I'm not going to get in a fight with all of you. The point is, the guy told me it would be 7-10 days. Then he completely reneged on that.
Yes, because this coin would have been dead in 7-10 days. Blocks were taking nearly 20 minutes because of the multipools. Nobody was going to mine that for very long. Hashrate was already very low. This isn't Bitcoin mining - it's cutting edge and often experimental. Plans can and will change. If you're not happy with that then maybe mine something more established.

aar. and i are looking into a method to discard shares of miners ( pools ) having more then 50% of the network.
i see a circular reference here, pls make sure you don't end up discarding all shares. yes, we just might do the kgw block update. its safest, easiest and very fast to implement. 18323 might be the blocknumber of implementation cheers I think this is the best plan.

Yeah, good job.
66 blocks to go!

Of course we all need to mine through the high diff phases. Invest in the future of the coin over short-term profit ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

About 11000 blocks to go.
Assume they are split half and half between 'easy' blocks (low diff) and 'hard' blocks (high diff).
5500 'hard' blocks x 5 minutes per block = 19.1 days 5500 'easy' blocks x 0.25 minutes per block = 0.95 days
So block 29000 is roughly 20 days away at current rates.

|
|
yes but thats why the multipools keep dropping in...
Yeah. I think we might need gravity well sooner than block 29000. At the minute half the blocks take practically no time, and the other half take 5 minutes. So we're getting through blocks 2.5 times slower than intended. These difficulty swings could endanger the coin if they get too bad. Maybe 25000?

11500blocks to go, its about 5++ minutes / block, thats 40days at best. How did you calculate this thing guys ? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Multipools wont stop going on leaf till the price crashes to shit... Nah, half that at worst. When the diff goes down we get through a couple of hundred blocks in barely an hour.

uhhh i live in europe, no idea of the time in L.A. i took the time from a countdown clock someone posted on this thread...
1. Open Google 2. Search for 'PST' 3. Click first link You all want coins but you don't want to do five seconds of research!
|
|
|
Has the coin been launched or not?
Its time to open pool, why still close?
No. It says 'between 10am and 2pm PST'. Read!

well.. reddcoin you're late .. hope yu did not get pregnant REDDCOIN Zoom 0 days 0 hours 1 minute 77 seconds
It clearly says in the first post 'between 10am and 2pm PST'.

Great. Another farcical coin. Why can't people start coins at a reasonable difficulty? If you start at 0.0002 and limit it to doubling every 30 minutes, there are obviously going to be forks and orphans.
Please, please start at a minimum of 1. It's not 2009 any more - there's multiple GH waiting to hammer any new coin as soon as it launches.

So this thread's been up for 19 days, and yet there's not a single working pool at launch.
Why does everyone who launches a coin seem to have the organisational skills of a wombat?
|
|
|
Any chance of getting the official pool up, so we can register accounts/workers? Otherwise it's gonna be DDOS'ed at launch.
|
|
|
please add
FUCKCOIN (FUCK)
and
SHITCOIN (SHT)
to cryptsy.
Thank you.
Are you damn serious? Fuckcoin? Shitcoin? Because that garbage has real future prospects. You might as well just say 'can you add this coin so I can dump my stash'. Personally I'd rather they add innovative coins than the trashcoin du jour.

Good news. Can we please ban begging posts as well? They're the worst of all. If you want a coin, mine it or buy it!
|
|
|
Smart name.. When is the launch exactly?
It's in the first post..!

Dead coin. idcray has all the hashrate. At least devs won't make anything out of this farce.

2-week diff retarget ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) Guaranteed to get instamined to death, and then probably stuck at some ridiculously high diff for evermore. Just copying Bitcoin doesn't make it good. It's not 2009 anymore - there's a lot of hash power out there.

|
|
no it's not it's still undervalued.
Yup. You can mine about 5 times as many DOGE as USDE per day, but the USDE price is only 1.5x as much. Should be at least 400-500 satoshi.
