1  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9 Fan Failure on: March 13, 2018, 10:15:56 PM
Here is one solution from the bitmain troubleshooting website:

9.Issue: The miner works with normal hash rate when it was booted firstly. After a while, there is no hash rate.

Reason: One of the fans was not detected. Only when two fans are detected can miner work well.

Solution: Switch the fan and IO board in turn to find out which one is defective.

I'm trying this now... this suggestion came from bitmain's troubleshooting website: https://bitmainhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/220872007-Possible-problems-for-Antminer-Troubleshooting-for-S7-S9-L3-

Did you ever resolve this?

Yeah, bot 'works' under the right conditions, but so far, it's not actually worked for me... hopefully next week... this one would've been nice =\

Bot didn't trigger.. no pinned tweet =\

NEW EXCHANGES

Right now I am super busy preparing everything for Monday & helping everybody setup their bot. But next week I will be adding more exchanges to the bot. Since many people requested this and told me they can't sign up for Binance & Bittrex anymore.

Please reply to this post and let me know which exchange you would like to see added to the bot.

Would love cryptopia added Cheesy

It's very possible he was just messin' around with people this week...

I'm still gonna run this sucker next week, and hope for something decent... I was up when he tweeted, and could have manually purchased, but definitely chose not to...

Is there any chance you'll still be adding a few other exchanges? might as well round it out, right? Wink

On the other side, the bot worked flawlessly, as far as scanning, pulling down the image, and then not finding anything due to the incorrect format... So I see this week as a mild success... I guess the new format also might allow you to tweak the script to add this as a 'new' format..?

Well, that's disappointing lol

anyone actually using this regularly and can say how it's doing, is it actually working as advertised etc?

I haven't had a change to use it live yet. but it works with the testing on my own twitter acct that I've done. I'll report tomorrow and let you know if it was successful or not Cheesy

Looks great!

Are there any plans to add in other exchanges as well? I don't currently have a Bittrex acct (should've made one ages ago, but never did, and now registration is closed)...?

I'm thinking to buy, but sucks if the CotW bot only works with half of the exchanges I've got access to =\

Thanks!
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH sent to my BTC legacy ledger wallet on: December 23, 2017, 07:04:48 AM
thanks. I found the transaction in Blockchair by putting the legacy BTC adress to where I sent these BCH. However I don't know how to recover my ledger BCH wallet ? I have the private key of course as it is all mine (BTC adress and BCH adress on my ledger nano)

Did you have any luck with this yet?? I just did the same thing... Attempting the 'tool' linked on the ledger zendesk site... not sure how it works though... Filled out the information and such, and got an email showing the info that I entered.. not sure if they're the ones who process it?

=\

13  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9 - Missing ASIC and Temp on: December 21, 2017, 08:50:34 AM
There is no fix that you can do yourself. Just be glad the board still hashes. The repair of something like this out of warranty is not cheap.
That's just not true, ICs can be replaced quite cheaply. Technicians able to do this just aren't commonly found and they almost always get paid good money on corporate payrolls. Being forced to pay corporate fees for board repair is expensive but here's where I come in. I'm not able to get/hold one of these cushy corporate salarys because of a disability(the ADA does not trump ageism and a spotty resume). This is where I MUST innovate and adapt and voilą I think I've found a niche what I can flourish. I want to be the person people turn-to to replace burned out ASICs(and anything else preventing your miner from running at 100% or at all) out of warrantee.

Hell if I can get your miner back on line faster then the manufacturer even under warrantee that's money in your pocket and somthing to consider(if they have a huge repair backlog you could be out hundreds very quickly, bet their warrantee doesn't reimburse that).

I'm interested...

14  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9 low hashing rate board on: December 21, 2017, 08:21:38 AM
Good morning, people

I have a S9 (latest firmware) with low hashing rate chain, and seems to be normal, no "X" on chips, but it shows 0 in hw and no temperature since bootup (it's cold at the beginning). I've cleaned all the chains, tried another PSU, checked all the capacitors, and they seem to be ok.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Friend this is ok.
You can try increase frequence.
How long use this miner? How temp chips?
need more details

Hi!!

These are the KernelLog https://pastebin.com/0y6QNcPg and Monitor https://pastebin.com/qAKBFWke

It doesn't show any temperature, and seems to recognize only 28 chips.

Thanks again!

Were you ever able to resolve this? I've got a brand-new miner (ran 24 hours, and chain 5 is showing "chipnum=2" instead of 63...

Hey All, Been outta the game for a long-ass time!

Tried reading back a bit, but i'm totally lost haha

Is there a secret to getting my old wallet to sync? Does this coin still Stake? Do I need to grab a new client from somewhere?

Thanks,

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sapphire R9 290X Tri-X OC Hashrate? on: February 16, 2014, 03:59:27 AM
Yes, xintensity replaces/overrides intensity.  Are you using a version of cgminer (karoth's), or sgminer that supports.xintensity?

Apparently not! Where can I find a compiled version of SGMiner that can work with this voodoo?

I'm running a 290 (Sapphire Tri-X OC version), but I'm not really able to get above 850ish KH/s (Closer to 860 I guess). I tried a variety of settings (including the ones you posted from your .conf file) to no avail, except the xI, as I was apparently doing it wrong in not actually having a compatible mining software.

My card runs really cool! (at 1040/1500) Never going above 72 degrees (mining next to my 280x, which is hashing away at 760kh/s, super solid!)), so I'm really happy there, but would LOVE to get another 50kh out of 'er...

.bat file as follows:
(Device 0 is the 280x, Device 1 is the 290)

Core clock: 1040
Mem clock: 1500

-I 13,19 -g 2,1 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8193,20481 --lookup-gap 2

With these settings I get no HW errors, and <1% failure rate on the 290 (less on the 280x). If I increase the TC, or the intensity, I start to get HW errors here and there... Any suggestions for a direction to move? I've tried various clock settings, as well as multiple TC settings. -g 1 and -g 2 don't seem to make much difference either way.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sapphire R9 290X Tri-X OC Hashrate? on: February 15, 2014, 06:31:14 AM
--xintensity ...

Of course things slow to a crawl if you remove intensity - it defaults to i 8 then.

Hmm..

So --xIntensity isn't a replacement for --Intensity? I call them in the same config?
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sapphire R9 290X Tri-X OC Hashrate? on: February 14, 2014, 06:32:41 AM
My Gigabyte R9 290X is getting 863Kh/s with WU:780/m and 79C

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://scrypt.megamultipool.com:80 -u user.user -p password --intensity 20 -g 1 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 24550 --gpu-engine 920 --auto-fan --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-powertune 20 --temp-target 80 --temp-cutoff 95 --temp-overheat 92

Why do you have GPU engine so low?  And stop using intensity - switch to xintensity and you will see several percent hashrate increase.

Is it possible to call xintensity inline in a .bat? I'm running a 280x and a 290 on the same rig, and if I completely remove intensity from the config, things start to crawl really slow :-/
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Low hashrate on 7970 scrypt? Under 700Kh/s? Here's what to do... on: January 15, 2014, 09:54:42 AM
Any suggestions?  I have the XFX 7970 Black Edition.

The card works, albeit, much more slowly than I am wanting but I can't flash to upgrade.

I used the rufus boot and when I use
 C:> ATIFLASH -F -P 0 s.rom
I get the response below.   (I might have used more -f flags when the simple one didn't work.)

Old SSID: 3211
New SSID: 3000
Old P/N: 113-797ATDBV32_111215SZ
New P/N: 113-2104XTHY-OB5
Old DeviceID: 6798
New DeviceID: 6798
Old Product Name: Tahiti B0 CR XT C38601 GDDR5 3GB 500e/150m
New Product Name: Tahiti B0 XT GDDR5 3GB 500e/150m
Old BIOS Version: 015.022.000.004.000000
New BIOS Version: 015.025.000.099.000000
Flash type: Unknown SPI

Write fail
0/20000h bytes programmed

Any ideas?  Also what's weird is that when I started I tried to save the ROM and the info says it's 40000 in length not 20000 in length like the replacement is.

I'm gettin the same thing right now.. Can't flash this bastard! Did you have any luck? I've thrown basically every command I can find at it. Not even able to flash the extracted rom.... just kicks back the same message pretty much...
