1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Blockchain Survive Without Bitcoin on: July 05, 2018, 11:59:52 PM

Blockchain Technology was driven to fame by its application on Bitcoin Gold due to its encryption that has been considered hacker proof. Bitcoin has been used as a reference to its success, providing a secure network for users.

The question however is, can blockchain succeed without bitcoin?
Blockchain is a revolutionary technology that has the power to cause transformation in the industries.
I believe there'll come a time where many industries will adapt Blockchain.
Blockchain isn't only useful for transactions as seen with. Bitcoin and Altcoins but for almost all other industries.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Practical is Bitcoin As Payment Service? on: July 05, 2018, 11:54:58 PM
i am new here and i came to ask fellow users about how practical bitcoin as payment method is? i paid for domain on namecheap via bitpay and it was okishh experience. I mean how much i can use bitcoin to pay online for shopping, services and goods?
The speed and time used to process a transaction is major issue cited by many to be major hindrance for its use in real life. It'll be difficult for for shops to operate with it. It will only bring about long waiting cues.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you fulfilled in cryptocurrency? on: July 04, 2018, 09:20:43 PM
Forget about the tokens in your wallet and forget about the number of bitcoins you hold. Are you really fulfilled to be a cryptocurrency geek? I am fulfilled for being  part of this new technology: Blockchain, Bitcoin ,alternative currency, mining , masternode, trading and exchanges. I am proud of the knowledge I have obtained. I am delighted about the numerous tokens I have - both shit coins and profitable coins. I am proud of learning and working through bounties. Truly I am fulfilled, but I need more work to do. What about you?
Personally I have learnt from participating in bounties. I have been able to to monitor and follow bounties from period of launch, why the team did to promote and progress Ro ensure the success of the project.
Much knowledge we generate could help build us and empower us to use our talents and reach to achieve our dreams.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is the best way to tell a fake ICO on: July 04, 2018, 08:51:30 PM
Hi Forum

A quick question if I may since taking part in airdrops I have noticed that some are disappearing quite rapidly, and I wondered what was your best way to spot a potential fake ICO?

leave your answers let's see if we can prevent people from losing money

Airdrop291
Without inside information it would be difficult to predict the 100% authenticity of ICOs. However some indications include:
- the projects idea: how broad and innovative it is.
- the team: how connected they are and their partnership for the project. Normally the partners have physical interactions with the team, so if the partners are reliable then they can help phish out the fakes. So if no real or established enterprise is partnering with this team on their project then it is suspective.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do we change the public's view of Crypto world? on: July 04, 2018, 08:33:58 PM
Guys we are very much aware how the crypto community through this great forum has helped most of us in terms of our finances but is so heartbreaking that the most of the public views only describes how insecure and unsafe the crypto community is. I do understand that cryptocurrencies are volatile and the issue of anonymity sometimes scares people away but y'all bear with me that if  crypto is explained to you and you really understand it properly you would not make wrong mistakes and get swayed away by panic sales or submit your private key as ethereum wallet address. Is it a public campaign or some other form of tutorial that we should organize to help explain crypto to the world because believe it or not the blockchain technology of cryptocurrencies is being admired by most organizations and some of them have decided to run their operations with the use of blockchain technology. What can we do as a community to help change the public view of Crypto?
I think all the information that is publicised should be refined.
One way to ensure this is to make sure that the information about Cryptos that are publicised are wholesome and understandable enough for the lay man to comprehend.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real life usage of bitcoin on: July 03, 2018, 04:11:16 PM
Don't you think price blast not correlate with its real life usage since its inception?

Its hoarded for speculative purpose but how many major cities in the world have even its ATM?

I mean we all the time correlate its value with fiat currency then buy/take then what's its purpose in my day to day life?

Who will accept it in store when confirmation time is so long.
Bitcoin is a digital currency: although it could be seen as an asset since it generates profits for holders, it should be treated as a currency. Keeping Bitcoin alive as a currency should be the focus of everyone in the crypto community. Because if the coin continues to lose it value it won't be of any use to all those who keep in hoarding it.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin become an asset on: July 03, 2018, 04:02:58 PM
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/south-korean-supreme-court-rules-bitcoin-asset/

I read about this news that in south korea bitcoin is legally become recognizeable as asset. I do think bitcoin is a currency and not an asset. I dont know whether this is good news or not for cryptocurrency. One thing i believe with legalization from goverment i do think more investors will come to invest in bitcoin, but i think if bitcoin become an asset its not as it suppose to because i believe bitcoin should be a currency which is currency is for transaction and asset is not for transaction.

Although Bitcoin is a currency it could be seen that holding Bitcoin is proven to be very profitable. This shows how valuable it is.
So even though it is a currency, it could be an asset because of its value.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Is cryptocurrency help to expand the world business? on: July 03, 2018, 03:56:46 PM
Now a days business and product is for all. Every country exchange their core product with other countries to meet theit demand. What you think Is cryptocurrency help to expand the world business?
I think the Blockchain technology is helping and will continue to help businesses to expand. Businesses that are adopting the Blockchain technology now have the chance to rise to international standards through ICOs.
Also the Blockchain ensures equal share and allows the people to get value in the form of rewards and incentives for patronizing the goods or services of the business.
This is not like the traditional systems where investors, board of directors and the workers only gain from the growth of a business.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will get legitimacy in all countries? on: July 01, 2018, 12:08:47 AM
It is hard to say certainly whether Bitcoin will get accepted and legitimate in all countries or not.
From its current state, many countries have already banned it usage. However, I wouldn't want to underestimate its power, because it has made immense growths since its invention in 2009.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook lifts ban on crypto ads on: June 27, 2018, 10:23:13 PM
This is great news, though there are still many limitations i think it's a narrow and rough path to the future.
Still hopeful of the future crypto
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much do you invest in an ICO? on: June 26, 2018, 11:04:01 PM
I know that the answer depends on the project, how much you believe in it, and how much you have to spend.

But I am looking for data about an average ICO investor... are people investing tiny amount in as many projects? or more sizeable amounts?

For example, lets take a $40m ICO, what do you think the average investor puts?  $10? $100? $1000? 5,000? more?

Edit: many of the answers were, whether one should invest in an ICO at all. My question was intended to understand more specifically what's the average person place nowadays in an ICO, IF they participate. I am interested in data, about a typical average ICO investment, not whether anyone should or shouldn't invest in an ICO.
I believe the average investor invests about $500 dollars in an ICO that he/she tryst to have a promising future. Investors of Cryptos are being advised to only invest the amount they're willing to loose. For this reason most are cautious of the amount they invest because it is hard to trust ICOs nowadays. So it also depends on the trust level.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters strategy on: June 26, 2018, 10:55:16 PM
It all depends on how much time and energy you're willing to invest into participating in bounty campaigns. For full time you may have no limits; you could write a blog or two a day along with about 20 social media campaigns and one signature campaign. But for part time, it usually depends on how much time you have to spare.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to invest long term aside from Bitcoin? on: June 25, 2018, 11:46:16 AM
Hi, good day guys! Newbie here so I'm asking you to help me with my long term investment. Aside from bitcoin, where should I invest my money and Why?
Long term investment is preferred for coins which have value  and its value could match up to it's current star and progress.
Apart from Bitcoin I'll suggest Litecoin, and Ethereum for long-term investment.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to choose bounty? on: June 25, 2018, 11:10:19 AM
To choose a bounty that is legitimate you must first check out the bounty manager and his track record. Also you must check the team behind the project to be certain that they're not scammers. Also read the whitepaper to grasp the idea behind the project, and check if it's innovative enough to attract investors.
To know the income you could get from participating in the bounty, check the bounty pool and the percentage allocation for the specific campaign you want to do whether social media, media or signature and other campaigns.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bounty not an investment? on: June 24, 2018, 09:07:00 PM
I have seen a lot of threads here asking about whether people will invest in a coin or do bounty. Its high time we all understood that, investment is not only about money. To me, any effort put into something to make it a reality can be regarded as investment. People who buy coins invest with their monies whiles those who participate in bounties also invest with their time and energy. Money is a replaceable resource but time can never replaced. To me, bounty hunters are also investors. What do you think?
Both situations involve the use of resources available to acquire money which is another resource. The money used to invest is as important as the time and energy because it requires to use of time and energy to acquire money.
Moreover you must take a lot of cautions when investing so that you won't loose your money. For the bounty it may pay or may not so one must protect the money you already have and try to earn more.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do we need to diversify? on: June 23, 2018, 10:29:54 PM
Diversifying investment involves investing in two or more promising coins to minimise losses. It is the preferred option for many investors. Although the odds for a particular coin to rise may be high, it can happen the other way. So diversification is also very advantageous.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in crypto long-term? on: June 23, 2018, 10:12:57 PM
Long term investment in Crypto should be the desired type. Crypto investment are volatile but have been proven to be very profitable when invested for two years and over. Cryptos like Bitcoin provides a real testimony to support that.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How much is everyone earning from bounties per month? on: June 22, 2018, 11:45:04 PM
The amount you earn in a month from bounties isn't fixed. Some bounties could do very well and some can fail. So you make a lot of money in some months more than others.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there any fast and easy money here in cryptocurrency? on: June 22, 2018, 02:54:45 PM
One of the ways to make easy and fast money is to trade or invest in Cryptocurrencies. You can find some undervalued Altcoins which is attracting a lot of attention from investors or traders. Some Altcoins can make several exponential increments in days or hours.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Selling bitcoin is a stupid decision ? on: June 22, 2018, 12:47:15 AM
Bitcoin investment is best done if the investor has a lot of patience. Many who started to invest in the last few months to a year turn out to be the disturbed and frightened investors because they came to meet Bitcoin in a very good shape. However, the early adapters talk of such incidences in the past where Bitcoin experienced many highs in a year but flawed the following year. They're a bit comfortable because they understand that Bitcoin investment is best done for long term
