Stuhlman, you're a businessman and there is no need to justify your actions actually, you're doing wrong to yourself doing that
we're lots of griefers because of the centralized mining power but as was already tried nothing can change this situation POS was invented to prevent this kind of issues but it wasn't used correctly in this coin, it is an advertised feature so people buy more coins...
|
|
|
nah, just 90% and that makes stuhlman sad I think he should make nitro 3 so other pools can go away I don't mine anymore(I mined at leet) because you can't, even nitro2 gets shitload of orphans and has a 2% fee... :|

Block reward is not the problem. Lack of buyers is.
@Bumface - can you please clear official forum of spam? It is looking very unprofessional.
done already spam appeared, add a couple of captcha plugins to prevent it

Bounties are a great idea, and it should have been done from the start.
We could use the promo fund (what is it currently being used for anyway???)
I do believe its being used for just that, but its not being done in an organized, publicly visible way. If we were to pursue the above, it would allow everyone to see what is planned, being worked on, etc. And in turn, it would hopefully spark a competitive atmosphere amongst devs to release the greater product. I definitely think this should be implemented right away! These are all great ideas. UTC is a solid coin, and the community is wonderful. What it desperately needs is publicly visible leadership - not just one person, but someone that will lead the dev effort, someone that will lead the bounty management, someone that will lead marketing, etc. With those people in place, the community will have a good sense of where things are going, and a clear idea of who is doing what. This can't wait. also another urgent matter is the pools problem, on nitro I think the top 10 miners should be banned to switch to another pools because, right now, nitro2 did more damage than good by attracting miners from other pools...

will I finally get rich with this coin?
yes, with the speed of a sloth

please don't be dead! and how about CPU power uset fot it?
look at the difficulty http://oxc.akpool.net/index.php?page=statisticsdo you think a coin with difficulty 6000 is dead? I don't know much about east asia people but I think this coin is for that region so that's why in this forum it looks like it's dead

this company is apparently 1 guy with one helper. he seems to accept payment in crypto, I've seen offers of a few thousand coins to a million (for infinitecoin). If you read through the thread, he talks a little about scrypt-jane and n-factor. What I wonder is what the "base" functionality of a wallet needs to be - just download the blockchain, sync, send and receive? If so, that shouldn't be too difficult (although I'm no expert).
mobile wallets doesn't download the entire blockchain, that's why they are called lite-clients a lite-client downloads just the metadata so syncing is done in a couple of minutes compared to hours or days sending/receiving is not what you really think, you just tell for a transaction to be put on the blockchain and read it after so yes it may sound really simple but the problem is in parsing the metadata from the blockchain and transaction creation and broadcast

we figured it out the above post there got me alot more hash i had been running 10 intensity on old config to avoid hw error and much lower TC .. sadly now that 7970 is close to hashing same as my 290x lol :*( and thats also with the 290x using the recomended config on that list.
200KH/s no HW on MSI 290X 4G Gaming -I 20 -w 64 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-engine 1100 --gpu-memclock 1250 --scan-time 1 --queue 0 --no-submit-stale --thread-concurrency 56320

Bounty: 40 UTC!!!
What is the perfect Cgminer scrypt including other pools when pools go's down for 290 cards...
It needs to make stable 340 Mhs! anyone can create this script reward 40 UTC
below is a reference to how you setup your miner to switch pools. ...... use this in the .bat to have the miner auto-switch if a pool fails.
-o stratum+tcp://ultra.leetpools.com:3333 -u weblogin.worker -p workerpassword -o stratum+tcp://utc.greekpool.eu:3337 -u weblogin.worker -p workerpassword -o stratum+tcp://utc.idcray.com:10001 -u weblogin.worker -p workerpassword -o stratum+tcp://ultra.coinsnipers.com:3339 -u Weblogin.Worker -p Workerpassword -o stratum+tcp://ultra.minepools.us:5301 -u Weblogin.Worker -p Workerpassword --failover-only
If pools go back up, it will revert back to first pool in the list, so you can order how you like. I've not lost much of any mining time with using 3 pools. Hope this helps.
For your Card then the whole .bat would be: (not including your worker or pass of course) ultracoinminer -o stratum+tcp://ultra.leetpools.net:3333 -u weblogin.worker -p workerpassword -o stratum+tcp://ultra.leetpools.com:3333 -u weblogin.worker -p workerpassword -o stratum+tcp://utc.idcray.com:10001 -u weblogin.worker -p workerpassword -o stratum+tcp://utc.greekpool.eu:3337 -u weblogin.worker -p workerpassword -o stratum+tcp://pickaxe.pool.pm:3306 -u Weblogin.Worker -p Worker password -o stratum+tcp://ultra.minepools.us:5301 -u weblogin.Worker -p workerpassword -o stratum+tcp://ultra.nitro.org:3337 -u Weblogin.Worker -p workerpassword --scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600 -I 18 -w 512 --lookup-gap 2 -g 1 --gpu-engine 1050 --gpu-memclock 1250 --gpu-powertune 20 --thread-concurrency 20480 --queue 0 --no-submit-stale --scan-time 1 --expiry 8 Using this you will need to sign up for several pools. Leetpools, Idcray, pool.pm, nitro, and minepools; but you should never miss out on mining when pools have issues. This should give you 340-350 Kh/s Edited code: had a space off +1 also I think the intensity can be increased, after the N-factor change I didn't modify my config and got no HW 290 is almost the same as 290X so I think it can take higher intensity so you need to balance worksize and thread concurrency my card has tc 30592 by default so you should look into adjusting that to get higher hashrate because in my opinion with tc 20480 , they are underworked...

Anybody know where I can see the total hash rate of the network? It's not showing on any pool, or the ultracoin site.
debug window -> getmininginfo -> look for networkhashps

Anyone explain to me why my worker khs is always 150-200 higher than my actually hashrate on nitro?
when you submit a share, it has a specific hashrate lower than the total if you get lucky and submit more shares in a round you will have hashrate > than your actual hashrate for example my 290x mines at 400KH/s if it submits shares very rare I may have on the pool a 200KH/s hashrate if my card submits with a bit of luck more shares I get even 600KH/s tl;dr your pool hashrate is calculated from accepted shares and not your actual processing power

Nitro down again. I wish I wasn't at work so I could switch pools because this is becoming really annoying.
Always set a few backup pools man! how to put backup on the miner? press P in cgminer and then A and follow the instructions: first url, then worker, then password

Is there any benefit to mining on a more populated server? Do you get more coins mining on the higher hash sites?
The larger the pools hashrate that faster coins are found, but the smaller the payouts. Conversely, a pool with smaller hashrates, are going to find blocks a little less quicker, but your payouts will be larger. It is up to you which pool you like. Its a matter of preference Thanks, it just seemed that when Leetpool went down and i switched to nitropool i found more coins in shorter period of time. I should have timed it but i didn't think it would make difference. ofc nitro found more blocks and you got higher payouts when over 1/3 from the network hashrate goes down along with network diff

http://bitgo.pw/utc/ the piechart, nitro looks like pacman eating all the other pools XD seemed like all the pools except nitro were DDOSed..

Anyone have a solution?
at the Diff it is at now try getting rid of the Expiry queue scantime stuff and deal with a few percent rejects...you arent giving your worker time to complete any work at this diff... waltsmith Thanks for the info. I removed all that bit and still not getting any WU. Anyone have any ideas? you're getting a lot of hardware errors, change the config

what Problem with ultra.nitro.org and ultra.minepools.us 0 active miner , 0khs pool hashrate? nitro seems to be DDOSed like shit...
