1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: July 17, 2017, 11:36:03 AM
It entirely depends on your investment objectives, time horizon, risk tolerance and fundamental understanding of the individual cryptocurrencies and the underlying blockchain technology. Cryptocurrencies are a new emerging asset class that demands informed research and a high tolerance for volatility.
That being said, it’s a great time to become educated in blockchain development applications and how this is tied to crypto’s.

OneHash.com is a simple betting platform that allows users to place bets on their favorite teams with bitcoin. Bets are placed against other users in a pot, and winnings are distributed to a specified bitcoin address of the lucky ones. Since players bet against each other, not against OneHash, the betting multiplier changes dynamically depending on amount of bitcoins in the bank, and bet amount made by other users.

What I hate is...

What's the (fucking) point of all the words...

The point is that no one has all their coins on exchanges, let alone on a single exchange.  So what your pointing out is pointless, that's the point.
But you might have gotten that if you weren't too busy thinking about fucking typos.
To say that its too bad for those who lost coins because they had those coins on exchanges is putting blame on the victims.
Like I said there are always morons who take this stance (too many morons)... gets on my last nerve.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Myriad [1st Multi-PoW] | REQUIRED UPDATE 0.9.2.7 on: November 21, 2014, 08:09:09 AM
What I hate is those of you cunts who blame the victims of theft for the freaking theft.  Especially in this online/altcoin/shit context where most of the exchanges in question were prominent exchanges at the time they went up.  In the context of an irregulated atmosphere with almost no legal recourse, and where the owners of the best exchanges aren't even known to their customers until after they have committed the theft.   It almost makes me throw up when I read you morons giving so called advise about, if you don't control your keys... bla bla .... Yea morons we all know this and no one has all or even most their stacks on these exchanges.  But if your in this game then you would be a true moron if you had no coins or money sitting on these exchanges(so called exchanges).  And if your like me,  I don't take kindly to someone stealing from me irrespective of the amount.  And please dont hang too long on any one of these words... its the fucking point of all the words as a whole that you should be paying attention to.

The biggest issue this coin has is that its developers are either incompetent, indifferent, or a bunch of fucking kids.

Devs rejoice... your plans to get myr on par with mazacoin are almost realized.  Rejoice fuckers

Everything I mentioned earlier about fake share mining at sha256 myr.poolerino.com pool is still happening.  Mike the pool op banned one account but is ignoring the fact that its happening on multiple accounts, even after being notified.  To top it off, it seems that I have been banned from this pool, for warning its members about their ongoing problems.  This makes me lol, but it also shows that the pool operators are in on the scam.  The fact that the dev's barely cared about this, tried to brush it aside, then made some basic post (which no one would see other than on that day) warning miners to stay away from this pool, tells me that their in on it or too stupid to care.

From Mike
"The username is "anondings" and he is banned now from the server, blocked his account and payouts stopped.
We will monitor the server now to see if he is not coming back again, problem is: we cant ban every user with high hashrate until we see he never solved a block...."

FYI, this anondings fella, is also showing up as the biggest miner at myr.suchpool.pw,  which i think phoenix mentioned is a pool where he has noticed this issue.

Im done.... couldnt give a fuck less anymore

OK, could you explain how they are scamming anyone except people dumb enough to mine on their pool?

Pool is a scam = don't mine there

PROBLEM SOLVED

MYR Price on Mintpal doesn't look good - don't some of these miners understand that you don't sell at any price - you hold until it gets better?

Because they get it for free, so selling at any price is profit, and they know that we know, so they have no incentive to hold (unlike actual miners).

Your anger and frustration are justified and shared among many.

Don't know why but that makes me feel a little better seeing you say that, but too bad not shared by the so called devs.

DDoS them for sure... lol

there is nothing us devs can do. if this is a fake share attack then that needs to be handled by poolerino. they seem to be the only pool with the issues on sha256 and by default they shouldnt have that issue anyway. stratum uses the diff1 recommended by luke-jr (one of the bitcoin devs) and afaik so does NOMP

Ahmed

Thats the problem, there are if's...

The very least you can do is verify exactly what type of problem it is.  Not what its likely to be, but what it is.  And if its confirmed to be a fake share, and if thats resolved by the pool operators, then the next least thing you can do is make sure that the pool operator addresses it in a timely manor.  If they are not able to do this, then you advise your mining community to stay off that pool and you remove them as an official mining pool for MYR until they have sufficiently addressed the issue on their end.

All you who think the price is falling because of a lack of marketing are morons.  Everyone in the crypto-shpere knows MYR and markething is not the issue.
My last posts about the issue on the pools is still happening right now.  If 40TH fake miners are able to steal hundreds of thousands of myr for free, then they can dump at any price points and drive the price to these levels.  Im absolutely amazed at the lack of interest showed into resolving this problem which has been ongoing for fucking weeks.  Yet morons keep saying dev tell us this, market that, and even worse morons who pop in to ask if the coin is dead.

This doesn't make sense - how could mining at one pool steal coins from everyone?

Also, if someone is "stealing" coins why would they "dump them at any price"? Obviously they would want the price to INCREASE so they would hold them for awhile, or even pump and dump them.

Finally, the price drop happened over a period of low volume - that looks more like somebody manipulating a weak market, could even be somebody buying from themselves at low prices?

their not stealing from everyone by mining at poolerino, their stealing from the miners at poolerino.  Their not actually mining but they are getting huge shares when poolerino pool hits a block.

All myr-sha256 miners avoid poolerino.com like the plague.  All dedicated community member(especially the core team) get together and solve this problem NOW!

So what is your suggestions?

I dont understand enough about the type of attack to offer solutions.  What I do understand is that its a serious issue that needs addressing now.  My first suggestion is to stay away from this pool (unless you like your efforts to be stolen).  The pool operator mike says all he can do is ban the person who can just create another account, which he has.  There has to be a better solution than just banning the person, if this community cant come up with that solution, then devs pay someone who can.  If the core team spearheads this effort, it will create confidence very quickly.  If all that happens is some commentary back and forth then I dont even want to say what will happen to the price.

Glad to see Mike from from poolerino jump on this problem.  Crush that sucka and lets move on to brighter pastures.

Edit: So wtf was that, bock withholding or fake share in stratum?

I have not received a response from the myr.poolerino.com pool operators, just went in their irc with the issue but no response... people should stay away from that pool until this is resolved.

At times there is a 40TH anonymous sucker there, and at other times that speed gets broken down under several anonymous miners all with the exact speed of 2-3TH/s all of which hit no blocks.

This needs to be resolved yesterday...

I know multipools have been present on the scrypt algo, but there is another issue with the sha algo which I cant figure out.

For weeks now there is a 40TH/s miner on the poolerino pool, now thats way more speed than all the sha miners and all the pools as well.

What doesnt make sense is that this sucker never hits any blocks, I mean he should be hitting far more than anyone else but he never does, yet I can confirm he does get a piece of the pie when his pool hits a block.

Now I dont know if this is a multipool or an individual or some game played by the pool operators but none of this makes sense to me.

contact mike, it's most likely a fake share bug in the stratum implementation.

Im guessing thats the dude behind the pool.  Sent them an email.  Hopefully its something innocent.

naa its not possible. its been tested against that bug numerous times. that looks to me like a block witholding attack. (the same one that btcguild and eligius got hit by)

So how do you stop something like that.  Cant believe no one noticed it, especially the miners on that pool.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Myriad [1st Multi-PoW] Prypto Partnership + Electrum Prypto Plugin! on: June 23, 2014, 10:43:30 PM
Not directly about my last post but...

Multipools are in a way complimenting a coin when they select to mine it, which doesn't mean shit because the price drops as a result.  This is a problem for many good coins whose price has been falling lately, I dont like it but it is inevitable.

With that said if a multipool or any other big interest is able to hit this coin and get more blocks than are allowed in a certain period of time, then devs need to step up and do something, or at least pretend to do something.  If their braking the fundamental laws of the coin then you cant just take the attitude that, mulipools are part of the ecosystem.

If shit MZC is still on Mint then MYR will never die, but price is low...
