Don't get caught up in all the madness:

I wouldn't say the blog claims to have caught anyone. The owner/operator of bit-mining.co has been dox'd on this thread. Using this information anyone can speak to a lawyer and file a claim under Canadian Provincial law if they feel they have enough justification to do so.
3  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ZenCloud has to be a scam -- especially HASHLET on: September 11, 2014, 03:42:57 PM
I wasn't contacted by GAW stating anything about a refund, and frankly if they're putting that information somewhere on a forum, it isn't the right place. Not everyone has hours a day to scour forums. So if they're offering refunds, a message on the Zenportal, (which is where I was notified of the pool removed) or an email are the only appropriate forms of communication for such a matter. But thanks for letting me know, I'll submit a support ticket requesting more information.

My last refund with GAW took almost 3 months! While I can appreciate receiving the refund in the end, I still paid interest, and they still had my money during that time. So let's hope it's a bit more expedited this time.

Quite frankly, from what I've observed, it's more then a few schill accounts. GAW has aggressively censored people on forums who questioned their integrity. Didn't they abandon their bitcoin talk thread in place of moderating their own forum? I don't necessarily think they're a scam, but there's a certain koolaid that's being passed around and I'll have none of it.

Well, at the risk of being called a troll (anyone who has anything remotely negative to say about GAW seems to be called as such) I'm going to post this anyways.
I recently purchased a handful of genesis hashlets, and during the process wondered "what's stopping GAW from removing any of the pools? Or what happens if a pool like waffle pool disappears? How will they deal with those hashlets which are guaranteed a rate off said pool?". Well lo and behold not 48 hours after my purchase they've removed the only profitable SHA256 pool rate from the genesis. My estimated ROI date, which was part of my purchasing decision has now nearly doubled. I only have myself to blame though. Really.

1) The owner/operator's identity has already been posted in this thread.

2) We've already collected the information of losses from anyone who has sent it in.

3) Additional coordination is needed, as i'm doing what i can (talking to lawyers, filling criminal complaints, auditing the list of loses etc) but i have several other things on the go as well.

4) I've contacted him personally via various means asking him to come clean and have failed to receive a single reply from him yet.

In addition - 5) This scam and the operators associated, should be reported in the scams section of bitcointalk.

Here is my opinion about how we should proceed with this:

1. Determine the identity of the owner of bit-mining.co and of all of the principal engineers, partners and co-owners. Get their names, addresses, countries of origin.

2. Organize a master list of the contact information and amounts of loss of all those who lost funds on bit-mining.co

3. Decide from among us who will coordinate this project and get people to agree to do each of the separate tasks below, such as talking to prosecutors, lawyers, etc.

2. File a criminal complain in the legal jurisdictions where each of the principals live.

3. Contact the civil authority in each location and begin conversation with the criminal prosecuters for that jurisdiction.

4. I also feel someone should contact the owner of bit-mining.co and ask him to come clean.

While I agree that it was likely a ponzi scheme - i don't think the operator had the forethought to use fake identification everywhere online since day one including bitcointalk, ebay, twitter, Facebook, godaddy, amazon, cloudfare...

Their identity is traceable and they will be caught in the end.

We're working with local authorities and lawyers to bring these/this scum bag out of hiding. Thread is not dead, send your losses to either myself or Kimmel if you have not done so yet.
Until we post anything new, please keep this thread professional (as it is being used as evidence in the cases being built).

i lost 108khs to them
i would like to get it bak in btc

Can you please report your loses of btc deposited to Kimmel. It's much easier for us to track these things if you give us the amount you deposited into the account. There's likely no way for us to claim lost revenue from mining dividends and I personally don't know what value Kh/s were trading for when the site went down - so I have no way of calculating your losses.

I'm happy to share the document with Kimmel - if anyone who has contacted me, wishes their information to be removed, please let me know.
Also no contact information is included in the sheet, Kimmel will likely contact each of the users in the sheet for their contact information.

Alternatively, maybe we can integrate a forms submission on Kimmel's blog, so that anyone can submit the necessary information.
Obviously there is going to need to be a way to vet the claims submitted, so if you have photos (i don't), this would prob be good.

Everyone, please report your case with the Canadian Anti-fraud Centre (1-888-495-8501), this is a devision of the RCMP which conducts preliminary investigations on pottential fraud cases. You do not have to be located in Canada or be a Canadian citizen to report.

Please be succinct in reporting the following:
The organization is called "bit-mining.co", and here is some of their contact information:
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bitmining
Twitter: https://twitter.com/Bit_Mining
Old Twitter: https://twitter.com/Sarif_Hosting
Ebay: http://www.ebay.ca/usr/demontn
Whois: http://whois.domaintools.com/bit-mining.co
Skype: bit-mining.co BMC
bitcointalk.org user: demontn

We need to make this a higher priority case for them, and the only way to do this is by everyone calling in and reporting. The more reports they receive regarding the pottential fraud conducted by bit-mining.co and demontn, the higher priority this case will be become, the more likely a investigation will be conducted by the RCMP, and the sooner we'll get answers.

The call wait time can be a bit long (was on hold for 12 minutes before I spoke to someone), so make sure you set aside enough time to do this.
Canadian Anti-fraud Centre (1-888-495-8501).

You should each also report this with your local Police authority.

Yeah what's most frustrating about this is that demontn has actually been online on [Suspicious link removed]ince I messaged him.
At this point it's beyond any doubt that they are ignoring us.

I will be filling a claim with the police today against the site and it's operator for crimes of theft over 5,000$.

did the guy with 5k nmc get ahold of you that he transfered into bmc then changed his mind and when he tryed to take them out they said they were dvc

Yes, this was recorded as a balance of 5026 NMC and calculated with the exchange rate of 0.00455001.
13  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bit-Mining.Co -BTC & LTC Mining Services. on: May 01, 2014, 01:44:18 AM
Not including KH/s lost (since i do not remember the going rate on the site) or lost potential dividends paid (since we truly can't calculate that, assuming the service has gone down), there is the equivalent of 43.77678669BTC that has been reported as lost so far.

Continue to send these in, tell anyone you know who was using bit-mining.co, it all makes for a stronger case to go after them.

To everyone who has pm'd me, I've added your loss information to a tracking sheet.

It would be good to hear from the user "yvesp110" https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=351935.msg6176720#msg6176720 who says he's has already been in contact with the Ontario Provincial Police and the Toronto police regarding the site.

@GroundRod/Everyone - I haven't heard from Lorenzo since my last post, so I'm not sure if he's putting together a list, but a few people have messaged me with their loss information which I'm putting in a google doc (sans emails).

@Cheridum - thanks for the info, I'm sure someone will do something with it. I've add admin to my Skype and will wait for them to come online (though, I'm not hopeful).

Sorry to hear of your troubles Langly.
I've started a google doc to track people's reported loses, and will add yours.
17  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bit-Mining.Co -BTC & LTC Mining Services. on: April 28, 2014, 04:43:35 PM
@Lorenzo and Ron~Popeil - agreed and PM'ed.
18  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bit-Mining.Co -BTC & LTC Mining Services. on: April 28, 2014, 07:44:31 AM
Yeah this is a brutal level of "lack of communication", the bitcointalk account hasn't been accessed since: April 23, 2014, 01:19:56 AM.

@Lorenzo - Regarding finding address and contact information, since the site operator never made any of these public the only recourse is to file a police report, in which case the police can request the information from the hosting provider and domain registrar to conduct an investigation. - However I doubt they would ever give you/us the information directly.

I do recall someone posting in a different thread that they had the site operator's cell number, and even threatened to post it, but then his issue was resolved and his tune changed...

Hoping we hear something in the next couple days.
19  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bit-Mining.Co -BTC & LTC Mining Services. on: April 25, 2014, 07:19:54 PM
While I would like to see such action, I think if they are actually working on fixing the site, it likely would be too much to ask for. Since it would incur such a huge communication and support overhead for everyone that has issues with their accounts (password resets, corrupt data etc) for which they obviously can't meet.
20  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bit-Mining.Co -BTC & LTC Mining Services. on: April 25, 2014, 05:40:23 PM
Yeah I still have a glimmer of hope - just because the guy has been around for awhile, and seemed to stand by his product.

But we haven't heard anything since the 20th, and my withdrawals have been outstanding since the 4th and have never heard directly regarding them...
