Huge spike overnight I see. The Spartans fight all night long it seems. Reddcoin was in their sights and we blew by them. Keep the voting coming Spartans I hear that Mintpal will be adding new coin every monday fro now on. So let's move to the top. Also... for anyone looking for a paper wallet... at the moment this site will make a not so pretty one http://www.cryptolife.net/upwg/. Set the Decimal value to 62 (R or S) for starting letter and it generated a valid coin address and private key. Just tested it out and the importprivkey function added the address to my wallet. This will work for now until the dev finishes up.

working on the paper wallet. I think you could have problems due to copyrights from 300 Anyone can make their own paper wallet design. As long is there is no monetary gain in custom wallets using the image there should not be any issues as its no different than you downloading a picture yourself and printing it. Or posting it on Facebook with a meme attached to it. These pictures are all over the web, doubtful every person out there has rights to display anything about 300. Dev just make sure you don't host the images on your site and you should be fine. But don't quote me on it.

I am concerned that the 100bil cap will doom this coin as it has many others. I am holding some SPN long term and I am hopeful, don't get me wrong, but I think that a lot of recent coins have learned the hard way that too many coins creates a major supply glut shortly after one or two exchanges list the coin and the dumpfest begins...
Thoughts?
Who doesn't love the Spartans too, what a great race!LOL'd hard. Pretty much sums up the general intelligence level on this forum. Well it appears you have put yourself in the same pool.

Could somebody tell me what is the price per vote on mintpal?
.0001 btc per vote
|
|
|
Get this up on mintpal to get a market value. Then its possible to sponsor someone. But one thing can't happen is everyone and their brother running off sponsoring someone just because. Like so and so's sister in a band cause just because. Or little mikey's juggling act cause grandma thinks he is cute. In the end this is what the coin looks to be for... but for now this needs to be planned.
Vote mintpal... we need to get a value on this coin.

Since its fun to correct people. It's "ICO" A troll that is obviously a victim of Stackcoin. Sorry for that mate. I like this coin. And its direction.
*I do find the gif addicting to watch. Thanx for posting.
Seriously? maybe check first what IPO means as clearly you do not have a clue. Then come and try harder. It is just another shitcoin after all...SpartanCoin...yeah big future here. Beware bitcoin and 1000 other scrypt clones of litecoin... Jeeez these ppl And gif is great, you welcome. I know what IPO stands for, as do most people. This is not shares in a company. This is not the standard IPO system, none of the coins ever released are truly an IPO. Yes its Initial, yes its Public and yes it's an offering. This can be IPO, IPCO or ICO. 'Initial Coin Offering' works for me. Don't be a retard about it.

Wanna have a bet on the outcome of this coin?
short term or long term bet? every coin out there rises and falls and rises and falls. Even the mighty Bitcoin crashes.

Indeed! There are serious people behind this coin, always ready to reply to any questions, even silly ones. And every decision is taken with logic and detailed explanations. I invested in this coin ICO, but only after talking with the DEV.
This coin has a lot of potential! Only 3 days to go, very exciting time!
Cut the bullshit. newbie account acting as a shill for this coin... At least change the way you talk a bit. I would imagine people may also talk a certain way after talking to the developers. Newbie account isn't a direct relation to ones intelligence or experience. They just never needed an account here before, possibly made one to begin to show support. That's what people do. You can read and educate yourself all through out this forum without registering. So I guess we should stick to "Dumb uneducated responses" and act like a newbie until our post count is high enough we can then use a number under our name to pretend we are an authority. We will support any coin we like with whatever means we see fit. Mining. investing. Helping spread the word. Filling bounties when and if they are available. Whatever.

guess best part is... lots of coin for low btc invested. Not bad thing then. Hey Dev... if we share the OP in more than one place can we get additional .01btc giveaway if not many jump on board?

Oὐδένα προσκυνοῦμεν ἄνθρωπον ...
another scrypt coin zero innovation ultimate logo fail
meh
Not a bad looking coin. wouldn't say it's a fail. Coin hasn't even launched yet so no failure yet. will be watching next couple weeks to see what dev pulls out. They seem more active and producing foundational pieces long before anyone else does. I Like the concept and I like the direction... gives value to something others are lacking in.

I'm curious as to how else you will combat issues of dead weight investors, i.e. investors who claim to be enthusiastic and dedicated, up until the point that they vanish with their stake and let everyone else do the leg work while they sit and watch.
They are not dead weight investors. the only requirement of each investor was to offer bitcoin in exchange for reddcoin. there was no requirement to do anything more. if the community jumps in... great. But the btc earned from the IPCO is how this project was designed to grow. if people pitch in, that saves the Dev from spending bitcoin and can allow the IPCO to work more. Most people pitch in cause they want to or have time to.

The investors will start receiving their coins on 15th feb or already started?
I have the same question. If you view the ICPO result page ( http://www.reddcoin.com/ipo-result/ ), there are some people with a 0 in the coins stage 1 field. and others don't. So depending on this i assume that the distribution has already begun. Can someone confirm this? If a person has 0 in stage 1 column it should mean they did not invest until after stage 1 closed. So they did not get those coins. the far right column is the one that matters.

Why did you ask to list the coin on exchange so early? So STUPID. Now watch how the price will fall to the floor!
Indeed. Should've let the coin mature. Also with regards to the IPO..ugh.. Tbh, this doesn't really matter. It would've just created an even bigger dump since alot of the IPO ppl would just dump them instantly. Now the market can settle down and generate a fair price. If you're someone who has invested in the IPO you should just actively contribute now to make it worth more. IMO this is the better option, you'll now have to work for your money instead of getting to instadump it. IPCO can't dump anything... they have no coins until the 15th. even then IPCO gets very little coin that compared to the number of coins miners have generated.

Don't know a website that will show info in such a fancy way, but from Reddcoin announcement post: Difficulty Retarget: Every block using Kimoto's gravity well. Block halving rate: 500,000 blocks Reward 100,000 RDD per block Special block reward Block 0 - 9,999 = reward 300,000 coins Block 10,000 - 19,999 = reward 200,000 coins Block 20,000 - 29,999 = reward 150,000 coins It will take almost a year before it halves. that's if i calculated right.

IPCO result still shrinking
Example
Now ID=344 23,044,822 33,584,780 56,629,602
vs yesterday
Stage 1 Return Stage 2 Return Total 23,132,621 33,931,547 57,064,168
Of course it's shrinking. They only have so much coins to deliver, and since more people buy in all the time, the % of the coins you'll get will be less. You better not run away with out btc dev! Stage 1 shouldn't be shrinking only stage 2.

I want buy your reddcoin, 1 rdd = 0.00000003 BTC
Based on this I already 2x my IPO investment. actually its less than 2x. stage 1 coins you paid 2.5 satoshi currently stage 2 coins you're paying 1.8 satoshi

Any news on the IPCO? Weren't the investors supposed to get 1.11% a day for 90 days? I thought it was a 5% pre-mine and would be distributed on a daily basis as per the FAQ? Admin.. you there?
I think you start receiving on the 15th once final coin amount is set at the end of the IPCO. By then possibly 2,016,000,000 redd will be mined and ready for an exchange buy/sell on the 15th compared to the 60,555,495 redd that will be released daily to IPCO holders. And then the IPCO coins are released over a period of 90 days it sounds like... Am hoping we can get that accelerated somehow -- 90 days is a long time in the life of a fledgeling alt. As long as the devs stick with it, I think this coin has promise. Way more direction than doge. -Doge wasn't meant to be anything which is why it had no direction. the market made it what it is. -the 90 days is tough. by the time all 5.45 billion IPCO is handed out, miners will have mined 12.960 billion coins.
