Has the Centra team migrated to the spend.com ecosystem? Any legitimacy?
The two projects appear very similar, I cannot 100% say that Spend.com = Centra, but there are many similarities. The evidence is stacking up though The idea is identical to Centra and has seemingly emerged out of nowhere The official rebrand project, Phantom (XPH), now appears to be 100% abandoned, which would mean all of their time is now on SPND. Phantom was built on the Ark platform, Spend appears to have also been built on the Ark platform. Spend (SPND) has some pretty suspect executives on their "Team". One of the primary deceptions of Centra were phony credentials and some outright fake people, would like to see some of the executives speak on an AMA or something just to verify who they are. The marketing seems to be identical, using the same channels Centra used to promote itself and the same bounty participants commenting on their videos There is some other non verified smoke as well, I have seen speculation in the comment section of a YouTube video that the former Centra CMO Chase Zimmerman is involved but nothing from the company or him to verify that.

Ive warned countless times that something will inevitably go wrong here, but no one seems to care.
The Centra project is possibly the biggest scam to date in crypto, resulting in huge losses, lawsuits, SEC/DOJ indictments, and two high profile celebrities paying up just short of $1 million. It is well documented that Centra is behind Phantom, Centra themselves have posted it out there for everyone to see on Medium and Twitter that they are rebranding to Phantom, you can go look for yourselves.
I dont understand how the Phantom project is progressing with the owners awaiting trial, but with Phantom about to be listed on an exchange it gives the owners an outlet to liquidate their CTR. My advice for anyone given "free" coins, they should dump the second the coin is listed. If it forked off of CTR, then guess who is holding the lions share of Phantom? The owners and Binance. Binance, who doesn't need any more legal headaches from Centra is not supporting the fork, which leaves something like 70% of the tradeable currency for Phantom in the hands of people awaiting trial for easily provable fraud accusations including price manipulation.
There is nothing promising about people awaiting trial for fraud starting an "open source", "decentralized" business based out of Malta that has no one specific in charge except a faceless "team", that are supposedly developing a vague product that doesnt exist yet. Lol if people cant see through that then its no wonder so many people get rekt. Bernie Madoff should start a crypto hedge fund out of the Cayman Islands if this thing actually gets volume.
Want me to tell you what I "can see through"? A butt-hurt teenager who joined the Centra ICO, lost money and now made a nameless account to spread FUD about Phantom. Just move forward and be careful how you invest your money, don't be greedy. Whatever, atleast I am not the one shilling a coin owned by people awaiting trial for fraud. I heard Bitconnect is about to reboot, are you going to that forum next to get in on that opportunity of a lifetime?

did SEC told centra is a scam? Why they don't pay eth back to us? 100k ETH still holds by SEC. SEC is totally scam. they just need 1 project to prove blockchain is bad but they can't do anything more. If centra scam -> SEC need payback ETH? but no! so SEC is the scam. simple!!!!
p.s that's just my opinion but the truth is they are in lawsuit so we just need waiting for everything clear.
Its called due process dummy. Everyone has to have their day in court, the SEC cannot just give out 100k ETH without a guilty ruling and then a sentencing, the same way that a murderer cannot just be given a lethal injection prior to trial, sentencing, appeals, etc. Rest assured when the case concludes, the 100k ETH will be given back to the original investors. The value of ETH at that time may be $1, or it may be $10,000, but rest assured it will be returned when this mess is over.

What different between this project and https://icodrops.com/fantom/ ? As i undertsand this is shit coin was created after original? Why they took similar name? And why you took facebook and Youtube chanel from previous scammers? This was Centra (scam project of last year) facebook page and Youtube chanel and now name changed to Phantom Phantom is some sort of spinoff by the dev team behind Centra who seems to want to give back to those holding CTR or ARK - I think. It's a complicated story. But Phantom is not Fantom. Fantom is DAG. Phantom is blockchain. Huge difference, same pronunciation, very confusing when trying to talk about either So this is another scam from the same persons or what? I just know that Centra's (big scam) facebook, youtube was changed name to Phantom... and now Fantom own by their social profiles.... very strange... Interesting project and I would like to ask if there is a roadmap in this project? Is there a Bounty or airdrop in this project?
https://phantom.org/roadmap/ There is no bounty company in this project. Guess you didn't get the memo. Sharma is going back to jail and this project is over, if you are in the US I would recommend lighting your computer on fire and driving to Canada.

Centra's chapter is closed already and what Phantom has with them now ? If I remember well Centra was delivering and they were accused of using name of some big company as partner, am I right ? Phantom is not ICO and there will not be any type of fund raising so what has this with these allegations now ? I would rather wait than to believe in anything what I read here.
Phantom = Centra. Its not hard to understand. If the owner of Centra is back in jail while awaiting trial, then what was making Phantom function is locked up also. Centra is accused of using fake executives, fake partnerships with Visa, Mastercard, Bancorp, claiming fake licenses to operate in 38 US states, and manipulating their coin price, among other things.

- Sohrab (or Sam) Sharma is the co-founder of Centra
- Read paragraph V: Argument on page 19, and all will become clear.
- If even the tiniest bit of Centra ICO funds (which Sharma apparently lied about in court) were used for the development of Phantom, it can be shut down immediately.
I see.... you have a fair point. However I can't trust the claim that the IP was traced back and has proven a connection between the two projects. Maybe I'm willing to show some trust on them since they don't run an ICO. Look at the facts Centra medium/twitter announces "rebrand" to Phantom Phantom is or planned to be based in Malta. Malta is not a known tax/securities haven at all A "team" or founders is never announced by Phantom, probably because the team is the Centra team and they already went down the road of creating fake executives. I mean what kind of credible project has a faceless team running it? Sharma, the founder of Centra, now is having his bail possibly revoked on the basis of creating Phantom while under Federal indictment for securities fraud. Seriously, if the average person cant see the connection here then its no wonder how they were so easily able to get $25 million+ on an ICO. There is no "Phantom" Smart Contract, card, transmitter, or whatever it is they claim to be offering. The goal here is obviously to create a new coin, use a CTR/Ark fork to get a community/following, once on an exchange and enough volume in play Centra team can begin price manipulation to keep their cash cow alive. Basing the company in Malta would in theory keep them immune from further indictments from the US authorities.

Incredible, this links shows that the request of revocation of bail for violation of terms can spoil the party before even start. One thing I didn't understand there is no mentioning of phantom only thing is focused on communication to Centra investors was given as reason in this application. There have stated in there telegram that they don't talk about CTR or even have no connection with that. Well, it remain to see what is the outcome of this application in coming days and how it affects Phantom's development.
It’s all lies like everything associated with CTR. Like I always suspected Phantom is another scheme to manipulate coin price to line founders pockets. Any vague product they claim to be offering will never actually exist.

Such a clown show in this thread. Phantom is a group of scam artists waiting for the crypto market to bounce back before launching their coin on an exchange, aka the Centra team. Anyone buying into this vague BS is a rube.

This is going to be huge project I have claimed my tokens back in September as well. Now we are awaiting for ARK V2 to be released and all delay is because of that. This thread should have been started long time ago but never late to do good things. In simple words this project will be managed by community as open source after what mainnet is released. There will be no control of any person or group to make it maximum transparent and decentralized in true senses. Goals of project are highly potential and it will make place among top projects in sense of tech and usability in no time.
Or it’s decentralized and based in Malta with officially no one in charge so when they commit their fraud they won’t end up in jail like Centra did.

Who is the team behind this project? Many suspect that this is another Centra scam and there still has not been anything posted as to who is actually in charge of it. Its extremely suspicious that this project took over the scam coin's community and magically is the first company in the world that doesn't have anyone calling the shots.
Who is in charge of hiring/firing, payroll, marketing, technology, security, etc, etc, etc. Extremely shady.
So a bunch of random people all over the world are working for free? Not doing much to ease suspicions especially for a project that emerged from the ashes of Centra.

hello, you can ask these questions directly to the developers https://discord.gg/fKFzHcYWhy can’t it just be posted publicly? Is it because the actual people in charge of this are under federal indictment for manipulating coin prices, lying about company executives, lying about fake partnerships with major businesses among other things and can’t have it known they are again out there pumping another coin probably illegitimately? Again EXTREMELY SHADY. Prove that this isn’t Centra 2.0 and maybe I’ll be willing to buy coins once available.

Is there a team behind this project or just a bunch of Phantoms?

I hope no one gets stuck and loses his assets in this sad ico. but I'm confused, there are still people who care and support ico like this, who obviously have a troubled founder.
There is NO ICO! How can they be trying to scam someone? they aren’t asking for money! No ICO? Is that the selling point? I'm not buying it. For a team that's currently entangled in 3 legal battles with funds from the centra 'project' frozen up, how are they supposed to fund phantom whatever? Magic Centra dust that’s what it’s funded with...

They have people who didn't sell in time, so that immediately gives them an audience who will maybe try to support it in hopes of recouping their investment. People overseas not familiar with it can be BS'd into it. No one in the USA would likely put anything into this as a simple Google search will blow away all credibility, but people overseas aren't likely to search for or find American headlines and crypto is a global game.

The funny thing is IMO the BS they are launching now is what the project should have originally been launched as. An unbranded cryptocard with no bells and whistles, phony promises, celebrity endorsements, that is run by average joes and done offshore and will only work in the 3rd world. But because that wouldnt have raised $32m they decided to scam everyone and promise things they had no right to promise, so now they go to jail
