Hey guys! I have a feeling we'll be up in an exchange this week! Start voting at Cryptopia.co.nz for Tavos!
Well... Monero won last week. If they add it as their first cryptonote, then Tavos will added too for sure. Edit: First now I added 10k votes. Let's see...

EDIT 2:
The daemon fails to connect in the Windows 7 VM now.
Please advise.
Try theese nodes: 58.245.206.38:17451 5.9.23.116:17451 i.e. make a .bat file with this command in there tavosd.exe --add-peer 58.245.206.38:17451 --add-peer 5.9.23.116:17451 and start the daemon from this.

Cheers Smooth! It's an i7-4770, standard clocks and all, running 6 threads, above normal priority.
Why don't you run all threads/cores but in low priority? Windows can manage just fine the other jobs that way, and you can have the max hashrate too. I even play Left 4 Dead 2 without stop mining. The hashrate drops from 850 h/s to 550 while playing but that's all, I have to do nothing else. These days, that box is primarily a GPU mining rig, and the current GPU work is actually very sensitive to any moderate CPU usage. Optimal performance (giving priority to current GPU work), was found by setting affinity to have 2 dedicated threads for the GPU miner. I can then do whatever on the other 6 threads, that the GPUs remain at full performance. I see... I do the same thing when I have something to mine with my GPU. Not much GPU mining lately though.

Windows 7 x64 8 core AMD FX at 4GHz I get 650 h/s mining with the daemon with 8 cores, and 850 h/s with wolf's miner. In the standard cryptonite algo I get 200 h/s with 6 cores and 350 h/s with claymore's miner. So I think the situation is much better with cryptonite lite, at least in my case.
Aha! I found something. The above 650 h/s are with the 0.9.0.0 edition. With the 0.9.1.1 the daemon hashes drooped to 270.

after you generate a new address which team starts the wallet?
Both of them, in the same time. First you open tavosd.exe, let it synchronize with the network, and then open simplewallet.exe. Type "balance" in simplewallet to see how much you have. You must type "exit" also if you want to quit. Don't just close the window from the x in the upper right corner.

Hah. Copy. These guys cant even code.
You Sherlock... I saw the recent developments of CryptoNote and decided to follow a few guides here and there and decided to create an altcoin. I'm not much of a coin expert Do you read this? There is a better one next For people who have ideas for the coin, or want to help develop the coin, contact Emerge Do you have the balls ideas?

AMD FX-8320 with 8 threads using wolf's updated miner is giving ~700H/s. Thanks for compiling this for us losers still using windies!
I'd love an AMD GPU miner for windies. I'll go give the Claymore thread another nudge...
AMD FX-8320 with 8 threads @4GHz is at 850 h/s. Claymore's can easily beat 1 Kh/s.

No way... They have no cryptonote experience. They will not add us. The only real chance is, in the poloniex's XMR/XTV exchange.

Thanks dnaleor for your effort

I'm selling 6,000,000 XTV for 0.05 BTC. Thanks.
By the way... Don't ask Cryptsy to add a cryptonote. It's too much for them. Monero is for months in the top 3 positions and nothing happened.

By the way... Claymore CryptoNote GPU Miner v9.3 Beta - POOL don't work with Tavos's address format. I saw that in other cryptonotes too, like Red Wind, but others work even if they're not in the supported coins. So, most of all these hashes are from CPU's. That's a good sign

I have all of the old PMs, but I don't really understand the question. PM me to follow up on this.

a few weeks back i did a reinstall of my windows 7 which was unsuccessful and this lead to my files being deleted on it where my aeon coins. ive used ease us to view the files on my hard drive but i do not know which is the wallet file. it gives me cpp and h files amongst others. it says i need to buy the license to recover it. i dont mind paying as long as the wallet.dat file is recovered and my coins moved from the address
when i type in search wallet.dat two files show up but the type is shortcut and when i type aeon the zp files show up not the folder
Your wallet is in the same directory as aeond.exe and simplewallet.exe, and it is named wallet.keys, or something like that, with the extension .keys. Do you remember the above? It was in a pm between us 3 months ago

Can release a cuda miner for 0.25 btc... contact me...
Isn't it a bit late ? (no trolling intended - just saying ) Are you interested anyway? You have not add a Cryptonote coin ever. It is a legit question too. I always mine some other coins in your pool, just to sell them and buy moneros. Is this a cryptonote coin? i can't find how is it related No it is not, for sure. But ocminer is helpful for other coins that fall in one category: bitcoin clones Maybe he can be helpful in other coins too.

The algorithm of a coin only matters for pools, but exchanges take any coin with trading potential, and I certainly see it!
Not true. It's a different infrastructure. They have to spend time to learn things, or to solve problems. It's not a Bitcoin clone like all the others they have. At Poloniex, they took help from the developer team of Monero to establish their first Cryptonote market back then.

an exchange coming soon?
It would be nice to see an exchange for it but the only way i guess is if an exchange picks it up by itself I submitted to Bittrex and Yobit, so hopefully the coin will have a market pretty soon. It would be interesting for Yobit to add a Cryptonote, but I don't think so... In fact, its been a long time since a Cryptonote added to any exchange

In other news, difficulty is rising, slow but steady It was 170 000 twenty hours ago, now it is 410 000.
