1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 📁 Novus: AFIX 🎥 VIDZ Burn/Swap 🎥 CROWDFUND LIVE! 📁 200+ Member Discord 📁 on: February 21, 2017, 12:53:13 PM
Therefore Novus will be replacing PureVidz?

Seems that PV dev has been online for week :/

hopefully the pv dev pulls his finger out and makes some needed updates.
it will be good to see both projects do well. i dont say that because i hold vidz anymore but because competition is good.
I am a gambling man so my money is on the novus project who wants to do it right from the start.
like i said earlier vidz is so cool and still trading like 4 x its ico price because of its potential.

Gambling is for suckers. He has not been online for 10 days, I think that is all she wrote. But, after every dark night.

so beit, I guess youre not a sucker then.
i dont know how long he has or hasnt been online all i know is i took the plunge and risked 2btc on vidz and that turned into over 20btc. it could have been double but i chose not to be greedy.
i have a feeling we are dealing with another great investment.
well those who see will as before and will be again.

Nice return on your investment there. I sold far to soon at like 2x-3x Sad but lets face it these returns are better than any other crypto ico for a long time. I wonder will Novus be bigger than Vidz?

I got actually excited about interplanetary file system, i don't think that people yet know how much this brings to table.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/InterPlanetary_File_System

IPFS is a peer-to-peer distributed file system that seeks to connect all computing devices with the same system of files. In some ways, IPFS is similar to the World Wide Web, but IPFS could be seen as a single BitTorrent swarm, exchanging objects within one Git repository. In other words, IPFS provides a high-throughput, content-addressed block storage model, with content-addressed hyperlinks.[5] This forms a generalized Merkle directed acyclic graph (DAG). IPFS combines a distributed hash table, an incentivized block exchange, and a self-certifying namespace. IPFS has no single point of failure, and nodes do not need to trust each other.[6] Distributed Content Delivery saves bandwidth and prevents DDoS attacks which HTTP struggles with.[4]

It seems you know whats up. Nice read

If you want to check it out right now but don't have IPFS running you can access it via a gateway.

I would love to say I never clicked that link but I did and now I feel like I have full blown ginger aids Cry

Why does it need to be scalable when it will never get that big to need it will it?
How much will vidz be worth if it scales and people like uploading movies there?
is the price cheap now?

Devs, may i suggest that when you do launch this site, do not put in the front page that we are making money or anything about investing possibility. Just to avoid unwanted attention on it.

In most cases it is very obvious that most/all linking sites are making profit.

I do however agree that it shouldn't be shouted from the roofs.

The longer the site is up the better it is for users and the management.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where and which part of day do you gamble? on: January 08, 2017, 09:21:35 AM
I usually gamble in evening because that time I have time and I have no work whole day as of now. And I am gambling on directbet on my favourite sports Smiley though I am still looking for a perfect sportsbook like bet365 with bitcoins.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins and Online Gaming on: January 07, 2017, 11:37:04 PM
In general, I'm pretty bearish on the longevity of altcoins as a whole. With that being said, there is an exception in my platform. I am *very* bullish on the role of altcoins in online gaming.

I've got money in GameCredits and BitCrystals currently, and looking to hedge my portfolio. Any other altcoins that are looking to play a role in the gaming economy? I know there is GoldPieces but I think it's dead? And IIRC some streamer was developing an MMO with a crypto but I can't remember the name of it.

There are only a few alt coins that are accepted in gambling sites, not sue of gaming though. Like directbet accepts betting in clams, ether, doge etc and of course bitcoins.

Regards.
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading between exchanges? on: January 07, 2017, 11:27:36 PM
From what I can see, the price margin between btc-e and bitfinex for BTC/USD as of right now is 49 USD.
Is it feasible to buy BTC from btc-e, and sell on bitfinex? Or do the fees completely kill the profit?
Has anyone tried something like this?

Its quite awesome way to earn money but the fees taken in deposits and withdrawals and the trade fees just neutralizes this profit.
9  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many times have you've been scammed? on: January 07, 2017, 10:26:12 PM
I have been scammed thrice and then I searched for a currency that cannot be reversed like paypal and then I found BITCOINS Smiley
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know when to stop? on: January 01, 2017, 10:09:31 AM
If you are playing dice just try to extend your luck as long as your strategy wins and and soon as you feel like the luck runs out just withdraw and run because no one wins the long run and that is how gambling sites are designed and if you keep on chasing the losses you will end up losing everything.

The problem is that when we are in profit and we stop then we feel we could have made more profit while when we loose we think we should recover the loss given to the site.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the news on: December 31, 2016, 10:20:30 PM
Bitcoins is also in news in India because of the decision taken by their government and hence people are now moving towards saving money in the form of bitcoins and gold. Smarter people prefer BTC and stubborn people choose gold.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: December 31, 2016, 09:45:36 PM
Bitcoin's price is flying and rising with rocket speed.. i think bitcoin will survive always as the leader while it may have competitor but i think bitcoin is the most expensive and most well-known coin in crypto currencies. So it will stay as it is..

Yeah and the only coin I saw with the potential of bitcoins was ethereum but anyways its just another successor of bitcoins and in no way dominate bitcoins because its over is determined by bitcoins and obviously its impossible to overshadow bitcoins.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel shameful for being a gambler? on: December 31, 2016, 06:02:28 PM
Being a gambler would be a shameful thing if you were in a place where gambling is illegal or not good and you share your gambler status to others and make people know that you're a gambler. And indeed it is normal that you be embarrassed if others knew you were a gambler places where gambling is illegal. Unless you're a person who has no shame, there would be no matter what happens.

Yeah quite true but I think even if it is illegal in your jurisdiction then its wrong to gamble but still not something to be ashamed off, really I am a gambler and I am quite happy with it.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain is bigger than I thought on: December 13, 2016, 11:49:27 AM
So what makes it bigger and how big will it be by 2020? That would take days to download the blockchain.
