Utility depends on the difficulty your miner is currently set to, so the value is not consistent.
so the lower the diff is set, the higher the utility is? the figure in utility does now represent the performance of the unit itself? by the way, how is best to set or how to calculate what best difficulty to set on x10 and each coin we are mining? i want to try solomining....any idea what or how to best set the machine. is the diff setting matters most?

hi....can someone explain to me the reading on x10 user interface......whats the utility means? higher or lower reading is better? thanks in advance

braiins, any plans to add more details into Web-UI like bad chips, asics number, HW errors counter, board temp, pool Diff, works, accept/reject/lstime/blocks etc. ?

and also will flashing braiins fw by gui too be supported? for dummies like me...lol

anybody wants to sell their baikal x10....im interested in buying some. location malaysia.
5  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: New firmware for antminer S9 - less power consumption on: October 31, 2018, 04:25:03 PM
Do you think that restarting your computer shortens its lifespan?

This is an odd question.

lol....im new. so im just wondering if we reboot it 3 or more times a day....will it shorten the lifespan of s9? as most electronics....leaving it on standby or on all the time is better than turning it on and off....thats what i heard....lol..
6  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: New firmware for antminer S9 - less power consumption on: October 31, 2018, 12:29:25 PM
Honestly, not sure what your asking.  I stated I was restarting 3 times a day, rather think that implies 8 hours between restarts doesn't it?

For what its worth, I've changed that to 4 restarts a day (yes, 6 hours apart).

do you think rebooting that often a day would shorten the life of your s9?
7  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: New firmware for antminer S9 - less power consumption on: October 27, 2018, 09:09:07 AM
ok this is getting a bit hilarious.
who can convince me that they haven't tested their shitty firmware at least at 10 machines for 12hrs before releasing it?
something else is happening here but I'm unable to see the whole picture atm.
Have anyone tested this at the antpool or btc.com ?? it will answer some questions either miner is working as intended or not

i've tested it at antpool. hashrate reporting jumps up and down like crazy. they knew of this issue and claims that it won't effect our earnings and are working on it. but as for slush pool, hash rate down means earnings down.

Bitmain firmware download is working fine here...just say'n.

I converted my S9s on the 23rd using the newest firmware that came out that day.  All run fine with reduced power etc...HOWEVER...I have noticed that a few of them consistently keep loosing hash after many hours running.  I have one 14TH unit that will be down to 11.2TH by then end of a 24hr cycle.  Others can be down 1-1.5TH at that same period.  A reboot brings them back up, but there is certainly a bug in the firmware release, or the ASICboost software.

Anyone else seeing the same phenomenon?

a few of urs here is facing this issue....

He said those were his 24 hour numbers...

ooopss yes....its 24 hours. but mine is dropping steadily...lol. rebooting helps but drops again...steadily too. not sure whats the problem or any solutions.
10  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: New firmware for antminer S9 - less power consumption on: October 25, 2018, 06:36:35 PM
Now that I got my pool issue cleared up I have multiple miners running with lower consumption.

I am averaging a 200w savings on each machine and these are the hash rates after 24 hours (these are all on HP 2450w 94% efficiency server PSUs):

#1: 13.5TH s9 currently averaging 13.502 TH @ 1305w
#2: 13.5TH s9 currently averaging 13.532 TH @ 1285w
#3: 14.0TH s9 currently averaging 13.747 TH @ 1352w
#4: 13.5TH s9 currently averaging 13.715 TH @ 1298w
#5: 13.5TH s9 currently averaging 13.608 TH @ 1288w

I am going to throw the firmware on a couple more 14TH units and see if they lose any speed but so far all of my 13.5 TH units are at full speed if not a tiny bit more.

hi, pls update us with your hash rate after 24 hours. as a lot of us are losing our hash rate. thanks

why can't braiins release the fw where we can just flash it with s9 ui? any idea if they will make it easier for us to flash the fw?
12  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: New firmware for antminer S9 - less power consumption on: October 25, 2018, 12:35:01 PM
Hi all.  Had success at first with this firmware, but my total hashrate has slowly dropped day-over-day...

In total I've gone from ~330 to ~310 as reported by Slush.  Anyone else seeing this???

yes....my hash rate has drop too. every s9 drop about 300 to 400gh. anyone else facing this
13  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: New firmware for antminer S9 - less power consumption on: October 25, 2018, 11:32:58 AM
Same hashrate and decrease in temperature.

my hash rate decreased slightly for some reason.....and my temperature too.
14  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: New firmware for antminer S9 - less power consumption on: October 25, 2018, 09:45:54 AM
as stated above they will release firmware for S9i soon and I'd suggest you to wait a bit more
even though I have tested different FWs on different models and some of them are working just fine

hi, do you experience lesser or slightly lower hashing on s9?
15  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Braiins OS: open-source mining firmware [S9, T1] on: October 24, 2018, 05:49:43 PM
Lower fan speed and temp is a result of lower power consumption, achieved using AsicBoost.

i've noticed that my hash rate is lower than normal too. any idea why?
16  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Braiins OS: open-source mining firmware [S9, T1] on: October 23, 2018, 10:22:50 PM
I can confirm that the new updated Asicboost enabled firmware dated 23rd October by Bitmain works on Slushpool, Kano, CkPool and Prohashing.

yes....just realised that the firmware i downloaded was before the fixed......download the 23rd firmware and it works. but....what does this asicbooster supposed to do? i dont see any different besides from low fan speed and temperature. lol....total noob.
17  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Braiins OS: open-source mining firmware [S9, T1] on: October 23, 2018, 11:12:27 AM

bitmain claimed to have fixed the issue with slush pool.
18  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Braiins OS: open-source mining firmware [S9, T1] on: October 23, 2018, 10:53:23 AM
its still not working on slush pool. bitmain claimed to have fixed the issues. NOT WORKING FOR ME ON SLUSH POOL
19  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Braiins OS: open-source mining firmware [S9, T1] on: October 22, 2018, 04:32:56 PM
From slushpool:

Dear Miners, we strongly recommend you DON'T UPGRADE your S9 devices with the new Bitmain firmware. It is not compatible with BIP310 standard and as a result also not compatible with @slush_pool. We are working hard on providing our own fix asap and will keep you posted.

confirmed.....tried and its not working with slush pool
20  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Braiins OS: open-source mining firmware [S9, T1] on: October 22, 2018, 03:58:04 PM
anyone tried the firmware?
