The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Hi all.  Had success at first with this firmware, but my total hashrate has slowly dropped day-over-day...

In total I've gone from ~330 to ~310 as reported by Slush.  Anyone else seeing this???

My hash rate is down about 1-2% average. Still a good result for 11-13% power down though.

Yea I'm aware of downlocking V, but I've now gone from ~330 TH to ~305 and seems to be going lower by the hour!

That's almost 10% hashrate loss!  Sad

My 13.5GH/s miners defaluted to 550mhz or like 11.5GH/s
Anyone know what voltage/frequency I need to set to get back to 13.5?

Edit: I'm trying 634mhz, that is what one of my other miners is running at, Leaving the voltage unchanged for now.
Seems to be working, getting 13.5gh/s again, and not seeing any errors.

Where are the fan settings?

hi, do you experience lesser or slightly lower hashing on s9?

ok so after a bit wait I did update my farm partially 40 units for now and yes there's a change in power consumption but also in hashrate. Some of them even dropped from 13.8 to 12.5 almost about 10%, freqs are 2x627 and 640MHz, some of them dropped slightly lower rates
I think they are still working on FW so let's wait and see

Now that I got my pool issue cleared up I have multiple miners running with lower consumption.

I am averaging a 200w savings on each machine and these are the hash rates after 24 hours (these are all on HP 2450w 94% efficiency server PSUs):

#1: 13.5TH s9 currently averaging 13.502 TH @ 1305w
#2: 13.5TH s9 currently averaging 13.532 TH @ 1285w
#3: 14.0TH s9 currently averaging 13.747 TH @ 1352w
#4: 13.5TH s9 currently averaging 13.715 TH @ 1298w
#5: 13.5TH s9 currently averaging 13.608 TH @ 1288w

I am going to throw the firmware on a couple more 14TH units and see if they lose any speed but so far all of my 13.5 TH units are at full speed if not a tiny bit more.

hi, pls update us with your hash rate after 24 hours. as a lot of us are losing our hash rate. thanks

Running on 115 S9s now.  I'm seeing about 15% in power savings, but the hash rate drops slowly over 24 hours until I'm at about a 6% hash loss (averaged across all the miners).  Rebooting brings them back to full hash.

Still dropping back down though? Mine is doing the same, reboot, hash up but steadily declines.

Is this a mem leak? Or maybe fixing the frequency?

I've coded a twice a day reboot into Awesome Miner which is a patch, but should keep me from suffering too badly.  I've asked Patrik to let us reboot based on a % of max hashrate, but such things can take awhile.

Is everyone running Nov 17 auto-tune firmware with the LPM patch or is there a variety of firmware that causes the same result of decaying hash rate?  Also for CCG or others who are able to use the 10/22 LPM patch are you running the 10/22 or 10/23 LPM update?

The November firmware is the worst bitmain has ever released for the s9, I do not run it on my machines. non stop PIC flash errors and other weird problems. I have both the 10/22 and 10/23 fw running and I am seeing no difference. I will update again tomorrow and see what has changed.

what do you mean? doesnt the 10/23 firmware completely replace the prior version? I dont think they both are being used once you update to the LPM version.

I have had no issues at all with the November firmware - other than when the miners get cleaned, they have run nonstop since April with zero issues. I am currently using the 10/23 firmware as well right now. I dont have a way to measure the power consumption yet but I will for sure the difference in my next electric bill. I need to get inline meter set up asap as well.

This is amusing:

I put a new controller into one of my early batch (maybe batch 1)  S9s (12.93 rated TH), upgraded to 1023, and pushed it until I started seeing issues, then backed down a bit.  e.g.  It has serious problems at 750, but not 725.  No other changes, no voltage tweaks, etc.

Basically those early models rock.
