1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Competition on: December 06, 2018, 06:29:45 AM
It looks amazing to me the competition is going to be an opportunity for the traders for making some easy profits. Who loves trading they need to join this competition seriously personally I am interested in this trading competition to join in. This platform going to make a new era of trading.

Hi Pacman,

Did you join the competition and how do you experience the platform?. I think it is a pitty that this competition started in such bad crypto times. Results now do not show the true potential of a succesfull trader. I am not a trader myself so i wonder how a trader experiences the platform and if things are missing.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to invest or wait ? on: December 06, 2018, 06:21:56 AM
Hi.

I have been part of this community for a while now. And i never got the chance to make any investments as i was short on money. But recently i got a little money and i wanted to invest but looking at the market as it is going down and down again, i have decided to learn from you guys and take into account the advice of you people.

What should i do.

Invest in right now,
Should wait,
or Should i just put my money in some other industry like Real estate ?

Need your opinion guys. What would you had done in a similar situation at this point of time ?

I think it depends on your own thoughts on the future of blockchain and the use of certain crypto currency in daily economy. Also how much risk you are willing to take compared to reward. For low risk, real estate is probably a better option. Although you can also minimize risk by investing in multiple (top 30-top50) crypto coins. I believe there are several index funds that offer such service in exchange for a fee.

Good luck and I wish you all fortune with your investment decision.
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What exchanges will survive? on: December 06, 2018, 06:13:02 AM
For some reason, I have my faith on Bittrex.
But everyone is talking about coins and ICOs but I tend to believe most of the exchanges will be closed soon.
An exchange is a hell of a thing.

Poloniex and bittrex is the most stablished exchanges so fay,but there’s  alot of exchangers now whos making their own names in terms of this field so many traders and investors will have better option in choosing one fto favor their tastes, and besides many local exchange gives their countrymen good business now,as the crypto world continues to grow then these service provider will increase their counts also

Tend to agree. Do you think regulations will also play in a role in the future of exchanges? Exchanges such as Binance will get it quite difficult for what they allowed / did back in the crypto wild west in 2017 and before.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Run next monday 26/11/2018 on: November 20, 2018, 07:36:23 PM
I really doubt that if we see bull run within such a short time span or not. It is true that some activities are taking place in a crypto sphere which might affect the price but considering the global scenario I don't see any concrete event that can affect the price on the international level. I am expecting momentum from next month considering the involvement of big whales and institutional investors (who are busy in capitalising the current bear market).

Tend to agree with this..

Also volume has drastically decreased compared to previous bull runs.

Hope it happens either way
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ✅ COVESTING ⚡ REGULATED CRYPTOCURRENCY TRADING PLATFORM ⚡ BETA is LIVE! on: October 27, 2018, 01:47:13 PM
Hello,

I'm fairly new in crypto and explored a bit about BTC but was looking to diversify and I'm currently looking into smaller projects..

From my understanding Covesting is looking to be a licensed exchange. Any ideas if these licenses will allow Covesting to do something different? How is it an advantage over other projects/exchanges? Lots of exchanges doing fine without them I think.

Cheers,

One of the main reasons governments around the world are cautious and suspicious about crypto is due to the prevelance of bad actors in the eco system.  But the floodgate has opened. Whether they like it or not, government cannot stop crypto even if they try.

The next best option is to tame this beast by introducing regulations to ensure bad actors do not enrich themselves at the expense of less inform members of the public.

What does license allow  Covesting to do that others exchanges are not able to?

The answer to this question may not be obvious now, given the most successful crypto exchanges operate under clouds of anonymity in jurisdiction known as tax havens with lax regulatory discipline.

I have been following Covesting since it’s ICO.  I expect the following to occur in the coming months if not sooner:

- Regulatory authorities around the world will require exchanges handling investment from public to be subjected to control and compliance similar to traditional investment products.
- Strict KYC and AML surveillance must be in placed
- Convergence of crypto investment into mainstream financial markets and entrance of large institutional players into the crypto space

When these 3 things happen, licensed platforms such as Covesting will leapfrog ahead the top players in the market if they remain “free” and not subjected to powers of law and accountability to the investing public.

I can’t see professional fund managers choosing to do business with unlicensed exchanges when licensed one such as Covesting ready to do business with them.

Totally agree. I think regulated exchanges will be the new standard for the crypto space once it matures.

I believe Covesting has come a long way since the ICO. In crypto, patience is rare. Not many people see the great progress the team has made in the last year.

This video from 5 days ago is a good summary i guess https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTqUPDlg8WI with DLT license as the cherry on the (birthday) cake.

Covesting may not reach all the targets in the roadmap, but the roadmap has been extended with so many news features since creating it, that this doesn't botter me at all.

I haven't invested in any project for this long before, and I am not planning to sell any in a long time either.

Anybody has some comments about potential delay they want to share?

Looking forward to it.
