Is it possible to do dual mining of TON with AMD VEGA?

Using TRMv0.5.7 with algo mtp, d29, c31 causes HW error and crashes.
This does not occur with TRMv0.5.6.
The cause is unknown, but I will report it.
OS HiveOS or mmpOS

Hi! MTP and c31 didn’t change at all between 0.5.6 and 0.5.7, goes for both gpu and host-side code, so it’s very strange if you see reproducible issues appearing in 0.5.7 for those two  . C29d was added in 0.5.7 and can be problematic to tune at times. Which gpu(s) are crashing? Always the same or random? Always a Vega or Polaris? HW errors and crashes are random. HW error occurs on many GPUs. Crashes don't happen often, but they are not fixed and happen regardless of VEGA or polaris. |

For Linux amdgpu driver (18.40 or later):
VEGA56 opencl platform = 0
RX580x2,570x5 opencl platform = 1
And, only VEGA recognizes and works, RX series does not work.
In the case of TeamRedMiner, both opencl platform = 0 and 1 are recognized and all work.
Will WildRig Multi not be able to run all GPUs?
Right now there is a known bug with this, yes. And simultaneously only Vega or RX's will work. I will fix it someday later, right now have not much time to work on miner. OK. Thank you while you are busy. I am waiting until then. Please do your best from now on at a level that does not overdo it. |

WOW you guys, 1.35GPS on Radeon VII running C31... I really wish you guys would implement BEAM with uplift as you did grin for AMD cards. AMAZING JOB!!!
Thanks sharmanov  We're working on adding some other cuckoo cycle algos first, but we would eventually like to hit the equihash algos too. It will probably be a while until we get there though. If you are considering addition of equihash, it would be nice if you could also consider adding VDS (equihash + scrypt). |

Thank you for testing! However, I must say your results are low compared to expected values, you should be able to hit ~1.6 MH/s (570) and ~1.8 MH/s (580) without too much tuning effort. I'll do a proper benchmark post soon, listing hashrates and settings for range of gpus. Yes, I think my hash rate is low. However, with regard to the problems of temperature and power, and with regard to the RX 570, there is a present condition that is suppressed because it is an individual that can not make much memory OC. In addition, there is also a thing that usually using HiveOS, there was also the aspect that it tested easily. HiveOS RX570 1100/875 1800/900 about 1.1Mhz RX580 1100/875 2100/900 about 1.7Mhz It is suppressed by the problem of temperature and power. |

If you can not use sgminer, you have to try another OS.
sgminer uses JSON style - not command line style. So this error as result of wrong config options. Use tooltips (icons with "i" symbol) to see how to do it right. Tooltips include correct syntax and examples It doesn't work well yet, but the JSON error is gone. I will try to pack the settings. Thank you very much. |
