I've used them a couple times.  No problems and coins were delivered that day.  Exchange rates are the about the best youre going to find for this type of service.

6  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 2TH/s, Batch 1 on Sale this week, shipping before Sept. Ends on: September 24, 2014, 08:56:44 PM
That price is outrageous! Even with free electricity (and assuming a 15% ave diff increase) it will produce less than 2 bitcoins over its lifetime.  Thats right, wont even 50% ROI with free electricity.

I truly feel sorry for anyone dumb enough to buy this machine at those prices.
7  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 2TH/s, Batch 1 on Sale this week, shipping before Sept. Ends on: September 21, 2014, 12:21:41 AM
whats going on here? dont you find the silence ridiculous?
advertising like a champ when btc price was around 500.
vanish when btc price is 420.

Well, they are pricing them in USD so I don't think btc was affected..

yep  but they may feel the market got shaken and selling this for 1000 usd would further hurt the market.

So they mine with it instead.  Big diff jump has happened lately.

Maybe this does 900 watts and 2th. Maybe it is a  killer piece of gear.      the s-2 did about 1.1 watts  the s-1 did 2 watts.

the s-3 does .77 watts  maybe this does .45 watts  ……  When price tanked I think they did not want to release a piece of gear that good.

Lol

If anyone is curious just how bad of a deal bitmains hashnest is, here are the number assuming their current maintenance fee, cost, 15% diff increase, and very optimistic btc value of 700.  Bottom line: you are nearly guaranteed to lose ~1/2 your investment.  Shame on you bitmain.

FYI: would need to average < 7% diff increase to turn a small profit.

If anyone is interested im selling 2 antminer S3s for 0.65 BTC each with free shipping anywhere in the US.  I can ship same day is payment is made early.  They are from batch 5. BOth units can be successfully overclocked to 237.5 and 1 can be overclocked to 250. Figure I'd see if anyone here wants them before I throw them up on ebay.  Send a PM if interested.

Anyone else made a deposit to hashnest.com recently and not received the deposit in account?
Have you seen the name of this thread?..  Undecided

not sure same as bitmain site that I ordered one L1 and paid by btc and in account still not say pay yet for one hour now.
I did them for it.

Can i have some bitcoin too?  I mean, considering youre just pissing it away, Id figured id ask.

My technical analysis of the Antminer L1

What do you recommend? If I may ask.

Buying BTC directly when its at its 3 month low point...

The current price of 1.253 BTC per L1 unit is an insane price!  Things to consider:

(1) The unit is priced in USD (not bitcoin) so if you buy you are effectively selling you bitcoin at a 3 month low (face palm)
(2) The scyptcoin market is on its last breath and even the most optimistic projects show the L1 MIGHT (if difficulty increase is less than 2%) make a small profit.  There just isnt enough upside to risk that amount of bitcoin.
(3) A 3 month preorder is insane.  3 months is this game is an eternity, especially considering how much the scrypt market has gone down. Just three months ago LTC was over $11 today its <$5.

Summary: Even assuming best case scienaro (on time shipping, low diff rise, LTC prices dont continue to fall) this unit will not be profitable.

any news about starting to ship batch 8 ?
I paid 0.58 BTC x2 , for something that will never ROI
At least they should send it faster !

at least you are losing 0.58 unlike me, I ordered batch 6 and payed 1.32 BTC, I only made 0.30 BTC back (not counting electricity) Cheesy

so I am down 1 BTC + electricity.

Don't forget that you own the hardware and there are lots of people on eBay that will pay $400+ for your miner.

After fees and shipping youd be luck to get >$400 once people realize how bad of a deal Batch 8 is the market will bve flooded and prices will be driven down.  Now is the time to sell the S3s!

Does anyone have the actual weight of an S3 in the box (not just what bitmain prints on the label)?
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: August 28, 2014, 02:15:28 PM

Are these still a good idea to buy? Mining is bleak with the difficulty rises and the lack of price gain.

THat is a personal question i would say yes you can still break even and make a small profit on these By first of next yr. But you do come into the issue of how much you pay for power. Do you have aqueduct cooling in your home. If you well and my opinion your roi decision shouldn't be based on btc to usd. It should be based on BTC cost of miner versus btc mined by miner.
Its like investing in the stock market thier are no garantees. You could join a pool on a badluck streak and then switch and hit another with bad luck streak. You could hit a pool with good luck. and make more than the calculators say.
If you are hedging you will profit with the miner only if btc increases in price why not just buy the btc and hold and then sell when it goes up.
I have free power so i have some wiggle room on how long i can run a miner.

Have some number to back up this claim?

bitmain pleas ship b8 faster !!!the difficulty is raising with the speed of lighnting

By the time the B8's are inhand (or shortly thereafter) difficulty might be ~50 billion (4 more increases at ~20% each). That means they will mine about .00454 BTC or $2.27 USD per day before electricity costs.  OUCH!!!

20  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: August 24, 2014, 02:29:05 PM
I went to use my 3 unused coupons today from the Bitmain Hash speed issue and found out that they expired.

What a crock of crap.

If they dont give me my coupons back or the equal bitcoin I will not purchase their products anymore.

Has anyone else had this happen???

Someone already said it expired last week so I think.

That's BS. Had I realized they were going to expire before I could mine more coin to purchase more I would have opted for the refund in BTC. Bitmain better make this right or I will also go to a competitor. Customer service and delivery times are what set the hardware manufacturers apart.

Dont think youre going to get much sympathy here...
