Hi

A lot of P2Pools seems to be running version 77.0.0-12-g5493200-dirty.
Where do i find and download this version? (http://www.p2pool.site/scanner/dgb-scrypt.html)
Im running my own Scrypt p2pool at the moment, but would like to be compliant and run the same version as the majority is running.

Hope you can help

regards

Hi

Is it possible to host two p2pools, running Scrypt and SHA256, using different rpc and p2p ports, connecting to the same digibyte wallet running on the same machine?
Or if that is not possible, running two digibyte wallet digibyted, on the samen machine using different digibyte.conf files?
I cant find any info on this, google is not! my friend regarding this issue.

best regards

Lawzt

you need to run 2 wallets and 2 pools (yes you can run them on same server but you need to use different ports and different location for wallets)

./digibyted -conf=/location/digibyte1.conf -deprecatedrpc=accounts
./digibyted -conf=/location/digibyte2.conf -deprecatedrpc=accounts

where on conf you have:

on digibyte1.conf
Code:
rpcuser=rpcuser1
rpcpassword=rpcpassword1
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
gen=0
server=1
daemon=1
rpcport=rpcport1
port=port1
algo=scrypt
datadir=/location/digibyte1/

and on digibyte2.conf

Code:
rpcuser=rpcuser2
rpcpassword=rpcpassword2
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
gen=0
server=1
daemon=1
rpcport=rpcport2
port=port2
algo=sha256
datadir=/location/digibyte2/

thank you so much, that worked perfectly! Didn't know about the datadir in the conf file.  Cheesy
I have to get some more RAM for my setup though, running two wallets takes up a lot of resources. but when that is sorted out I will be up and running with two P2pools  Cool

For now only one pool is running, check it out if you want, stability is my objective here. Several blocks are being found  Wink

have a nice day

I just have to share this with anyone that wants to listen ...... I have been hacked for 4.5 million digibyte Cry Cry

I have absolutely no idea what has happened, but yesterday I did a sync of my digibyte core wallet installed on my computer, and when the sync was over, my wallet was empty.

I checked my wallet address DMHUZWvzfJwdiiivnbfkMW34LBmAt5r9Zv in the blockchain explorer and to my horror I realized that the transactions in fact had taken place.

What has happened? I have never given my private keys to anyone, my pc shows no sign og beeing hacked, its fully updated, have the newest antivirus. My wallet is also protected by a strong password. My pc wasn't online at the time of the transactions. Im a sysadmin and i know a thing or 2 about pc security,

How can this happen? can anyone help me to clarify what has happened before i jump screeaming out of the nearest window Cry

that is scary  Roll Eyes

They hacked your PC or were your coins on an Exchange? Does the digibyte wallet have a Debug Window>Console where you can do a "checkwallet" to see if the wallet needs to be or can be repaired?

You can see on the blockchain there were three separate transaction that moved the coins to other addresses. Either the OP has amnesia or someone close to him "borrowed" his DGB or he was indeed hacked.

I think it is impossible for those transactions to occur without access to the wallet. That's a lot of coins to lose. Maybe a dedicated secure PC must be used for very large coins such as that. A PC that is only used to sync the wallets or transfer coins to an exchange and nothing else.

Maybe the pc was hacked and the wallet copied and the password was brute forced, maby that is a possibility?? good advice with the dedicated secure pc. I have bourght myself a hardware wallet now.
Was your wallet completely emptied, then maybe so, if it was only one address involved unlikely.

edit: I'm going to assume Lawzt has me on 'ignore'.

Could you have downloaded a compromised wallet.exe with built in backdoors? What source did your wallet come from?

I have downloaded the wallet from the official digibyte website.

You are not on ignore my friend Wink It has just been difficult to me thinking and reading about anything crypto related, sorry not replying to all of your posts Undecided
My wallet was completely emptied  and the funds was sent to multiple adresses. Im having a theory, maybe i have been a victim of this critical processor vulnerability https://spectreattack.com/
Only reason i can think of them guessing my password.

This is a special thanks to Jared, DigiByte and the community.

I was around from the first day of DigiByte, where I came to translate DGB thread to another language.
From then on, I traded DGB back and forth starting with 0.625 BTC worth DGB, which was awarded from translation.
Once in a while I made 75BTC with DGB alone. Later I lost some. That was my biggest lesson. Then I learnt to sell anything when the time is right.
You cannot just be tied to a coin even if you love it, where you can buy it back lower, at times (not the case when it is popular). This was mostly my strategy and the source of my success.

I had 373m DGB back in the last rise. I sold 315m DGB between 450-760sat and selling some slowly at this current rise. I know DGB can go really high. I love DGB and thanks to Jared, I am a millionaire now.
I was buying DGB at 6sat to 30sat and people at polo trollbox was making fun of me Cheesy and it is now really feeling great seeing them rekt with DGB rise and they totally missed it out.

Well, Jared, many thanks again. I will still be around to watch your success. And let me know if any crowd funding is needed for the sake of DGB. Cheers up.

Best,
Halinyo

So happy to hear your story, congrats mate Wink

I have a question for you, what exchange do you use when you are exchanging your BTC to fiat? It seems that most exchanges has a 10000$ a day withdrawal limit and 100000$ a month, and that is simply not enough.
And what about when you sell DGB, Poloniex has a 25000$ a day limit, do you have any special agreement with them?

Best regards

Lawzt

Remember the donation to DMHUZWvzfJwdiiivnbfkMW34LBmAt5r9Zv is still active

Damn should have waited to place all those orders then, have already bought about 7.5 mil @ litebit

I have been thinking about this for a while.

Ask litepaid to record 1 week of payouts.
We give people 1 week time to buy Digibytes with litepaid.
After 1 week we contact with litepaid to ask them who bought the most Digibytes.
That person needs to verify with his adress here on this forum and reward him with let's say, 500.000 DGB.(Also we could make second and third place.)

People will get used to buy with litepaid.
Visit this thread.
They will use the Digibyte wallet.

Let's give it a try!

Lawzt,

Wow! The price is 0.00001400 instead of 0.00000020.

In addition, with max 1000 DGB per order did you fill 1000+ orders to get million? I doubt.

Buy BTC, take it to Cryptsy, and use it to buy DGB!
Sorry but maybe I misunderstand you, but what is the point to buy BTC and take it to Cryptsy to buy DGB, when you can buy DGB directly with fiat at litebit. What is the point in paying fees 2 times? Smiley
