Finally, a few housekeeping notes. All recent orders on DigiByte Market will be refunded due to the recent price fluctuations.
<<<<<<< This remark by Jared underlines the problem of many coins. All use cases get crushed by speculation. So in the end the network/blockchain is useable with the tokens on it as long as the tokens are private. Probably these blockchain services will all switch to fiat money and drop the whole speculative coin part.Banks will adapt and away is our speculative cryptocoin world.
I daresay it was more due to orders having become stuck. I've had similar experiences when shopping on an overseas trip with a credit card. If the card company receives the transaction late from a shop the exchange rate can change quite markedly. A card company will never issue a refund in such a case though.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

the wallet is reeeally slow.. like 30 mins for open it and 30 mins for close it ( if you are lucky)
I re-down loaded it and and it caught 2 connections for about 34% of the headers and now is back a zero and has stopped syncing. Is this normal? Should I just keep it open and wait? It's a little unusual that the number of nodes decreased. Try manually adding a few nodes and I'm sure it'll work. The initial sync takes quite a while due to the size of the Blockchain (which is necessary to achieve DGB's fast confirmation speed) Simply try restarting the wallet and open it back up.

If the card company receives the transaction late from a shop the exchange rate can change quite markedly. A card company will never issue a refund in such a case though. With a creditcard nowadays it just doesn't happen when buying stuff online. It's near real-time processing. Digibyte will never be able to open a working store in which you can buy stuff with digibytes. Either people won't buy because of price rises or digibyte sells things too cheaply during a crash. Just won't work. All goods and services in a Fiat world need to make the conversion to fiat. That conversion does not work with 20%+ price fluctuations. This makes every coin issued by a blockchain service company an investment/speculation vehicle instead of something that is used as fuel on their blockchain services. In the end all these public tokens are not needed to make the blockchain service work. It's a byproduct, not the hearth of the service.

If I want to support this coin by running the full node, which port should I then forward to the host with the full node?

Im an active DGB shill on 4chan, have gotten many people onboard, but lately theres been some crucial questions that have popped up, that i need closeur on to effectively advertise DGB
1.) Has Digusign been tested and used by customers and works? When will it work? I really want this to be ready soon, to show off some of the apps for DGB.
2.) Who else is currently on Digibyte team besides Jared? I need actual names and faces to use. People are starting to think DGB is some hidden scam coin.
3.) Can we get more insight on the tech thats going to be added to DGB? I keep telling people Digibytes is hiring new developers with the money they are making to improve the coin
Again, i have full faith in DGB, im trying hard as fuck to shill it correctly on 4chan, but its getting hard without these 3 facts to boast.

good thinking Jared, was sick of going through all the crap to find the little bits of info, had actually moved back to here (which probably says a lot about the telegram channel) It's good people are finally waking up to the sham that digibyte really is. Copied Myriad, Copy bitcoin developers and pretend those developments are their developments. Marketing doesn't = lying your ass off. In the real world Jared would be in Jail. In cryptoland you can get away with false information as people don't know any better...yet. Hmm so which coin was removed from Poloniex? Even your own community consider your account an embarrassment because of this endless trolling.

When I click on the clear, concise and direct DigiByte communication channel link all I get is 'The address wasn’t understood' That's a Telegram (messaging service) link. You need to install a Telegram client to access it: https://telegram.org.

I rescanned a wallet backup I had from 2014 and it synced correctly with my balance. However the moment I tried to send digibytes it said that a "fatal error has occured" which then closed the client.
Any ideas on the cause?

Hello, Why my wallet needs 5 years to synchronize? Thank you It doesn't actually take that long. Mine has taken 4-6 hours to sync initially but i believe you can download the blockchain elsewhere and save yourself some time. Can someone elaborate on downloading manually?
