1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to start trading on the crypto exchange? on: February 09, 2021, 09:53:09 AM
Hello guys, how to start trading on the crypto exchange?
I would like to hear the opinions of professionals people.

I am far from being called a professional, but I can recommend starting to explore the exchanges. For example, start learning about their features. This can be done on sites such as https://cryptototem.com/latoken-review/. Also, you can often see initial trading guides here. Nothing unusual, just a description of the most basics.

Have you looked at kucoin? I wouldn't trust them personally but I know of a lot of people who do so they might be an option - they seem to have more listing than binance do. There's also hitbtc and yobit which might be a bit scammy - I wouldn't trust them too much.

I have a soft spot for Kucoin, but it should be noted they were hacked for an alarming amount ($275 million) in September. Luckily most of it was ICO tokens that could be burned and reissued, but they were obviously keeping way too much in their hot wallets.
https://hackernoon.com/dollar275m-research-how-was-kucoin-one-of-the-largest-crypto-exchanges-hacked-jh1i3exb

If the hack happened very recently, then the chances of this happening again are very small  Wink. It is unlikely that this happens with the same exchange every year. Kucoin platform's management must have taken measures not to repeat this mistake and paid more attention to security. This can happen to every exchange and no one is immune from hacking. Agree, this is not a reason to stop trading and stop using crypto exchanges. If you want to know a little more about  Kucoin, then you can pay attention to this - https://cryptototem.com/kucoin-review/.

Meet the Vietnamese developer behind blockchain game Axie Infinity:
https://www.techinasia.com/vietnamese-developer-axie-infinity

This is great, of course. What forecasts can you give for this project? How profitable can investing your time on this game be? For some reason, this is https://revain.org/blockchain-games/axie-infinity not a high rating. How many points would you rate Axie Infinity?

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Gods Unchained - An ethereum game backed by Coinbase on: February 15, 2020, 08:16:36 AM
This game is another mass adoption try with blockchain based.

And even though it did not have millions of players, only about ten thousand,it have generated nice revenue, this is important for sustaining development.
And I have bought some cards, good luck.

How many players does this game currently have? I saw a review https://revain.org/blockchain-games/gods-unchained, but not much information was disclosed, and certainly not a word about the number of players. I wouldn't want to start playing a Gods Unchained that has a small community and doesn't increase.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: December 03, 2019, 05:25:34 PM
Grin
dash looking like good coin
 but
soon 55$>30>60$ 2020Q2 Cool

I am not sure about that. Although users speak quite well about Dash - https://revain.org/projects/dash, there are many other really good coins. For example, bitcoin. So why buy dash when you can invest to btc? This is more reliable than in a dash. So it seems to me. I also doubt the price increase after the fall "30>60$".
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS Recognized as the Top Blockchain by Esteemed Research Analysts on: November 26, 2019, 09:54:00 AM
EOS the best or rather the top blockchain? This is funny, is it more decentralized than ETH nor secure than BTC? Well this is the opinion of someone or a group of people. There is no doubt EOS is trying its best, but saying it's better than a blockchain like ETH nor even XLM is a no no.
If EOS is actually the top blockchain, let it go ahead and beat ETH..
The guy has definitely exaggerated a little bit. He needs to go through his level of knowledge. EOS might be a good option but calling it the best when ethereum is still here and let us not forget the king bitcoin also, is simple a desire or an act of insanity. EOS can never ever defeat ethereum and before ever thinking about that, it will have to compete against many other rivals first. Ethereum is the best altcoin.

Yes, indeed, EOS fans are somewhat exaggerating the capabilities of the project. Despite the fact that the project EOS is more technological, it is still inferior to ETH. I am more inclined to the side of ETH. Some points for me seem doubtful in EOS. For example, centralization and the ability of a team to freeze any wallet. Of course, without explaining the reasons for the ban. Of course, most reviews about EOS are positive. https://revain.org/projects/eos - you can take a look here, for example. But I have more confidence in another project - ethereum. This is my personal choice and I urge only to analyze the information before making your choice.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What would you change about crypto Exchanges? on: September 14, 2019, 07:09:47 AM
Hi everyone!

What do you not like about crypto exchanges? What do you think exchanges could do better?

Curious as to what you guys think!

I have been using bitstamp recently - https://revain.org/exchanges/bitstamp. Therefore, I can say that I dont like high fees for deposits on credit cards. A similar trend is observed on all exchanges. The industry has long needed to lower these fees. Otherwise, it will push ordinary people away from using exchanges and cryptocurrencies in general.
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best place to sell a little bitcoin on: September 09, 2019, 08:23:34 AM
I have been away for awhile and was wondering where the best place to sell some bitcoin would be?

Was selling some on coinbase but now they want a copy of my ID and I don't feel comfortable with that.

Is CEX.IO a good place to sell?

Thanks

Before transferring your money to any exchange, don't be too lazy to read reviews. https://www.trustpilot.com/review/cex.io - here are quite informative reviews about CEX.IO. Such tactics are useful when using any exchanges and help avoid trouble. Because there are so many exchanges with fraudulent behavior. Reviews will help you find out a better reputation about them. Btw, another site with reviews about CEX.IO: https://revain.org/exchanges/cexio

P.s. It will be better if you use several sources of information.
9  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC stoping withdrawls! on: September 04, 2019, 05:37:50 AM
Is anyone having issues withdrawing funds from HitBTC?  I am not able to withdraw and not returning email.

At this exchange, I kept about $ 100. This is at the hype exchange rate of the end of 2017. At the time of withdrawal of funds, this amount was already about $ 25-30. Withdrew money a couple of weeks ago. There were no problems. I don’t know why people have problems with this. Personally, I have not come across this. Although, I know that there are many complaints about HitBTC. Just read the reviews about the exchange. https://revain.org/exchanges/hitbtc
10  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex locked me out on: August 31, 2019, 06:58:14 PM
I have had  the legacy account for years.
Bittrex locked me up about a week ago, so I made a successful ID verification, but I refused to make an extended KYC verification. They want a photo of my face along with the ID, but I disagree with it.
My argument is that they don't have my permission to own and keep my photo. From my point of view, it is a great risk to give them such a picture.
https://medium.com/@wilderko/how-does-kyc-aml-pose-a-serious-threat-to-your-privacy-and-should-not-be-used-at-all-88f7acd3f3b

I wanted to terminate account, but they always reply with asking for that photo.

So today they asking for our face photo with ID, and next time they will want maybe our DNA or other biometric identification. Who knows.
I don't understand how they can rob people in this way.

You should have reported the incident and written a review of Bittrex. New users should know as much as possible about exchanges. Both positive and negative sides. This will allow you to have objective information. Your experience will help to avoid unpleasant surprises with Bittrex. I recommend leaving a review here - https://www.trustpilot.com/review/bittrex.com  and https://revain.org/exchanges/bittrex
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum SCAM? on: August 26, 2019, 07:40:59 PM
If a project like Ethereum is a scam, then what about lesser-known coins? Then it turns out that most coins do not deserve to be invested in them. If Ethereum turns out to be a scam and eventually ceases to exist, then this will greatly undermine the faith in cryptos. This is not permissible for project №2 on capitalization. I want to believe that Ethereum is an honest and reliable project. Meanwhile, Buterin is reading my post and laughing. Wicked irony Sad
