Hydranet could potential be a competitor to Uniswap, which if Hydranet reaches the same marketcap, it will be worth $70+/token. (And it's currently trading at 6!!!! cents).

Hydranet is interesting, i have to admit, and with $10M marketcap it seems cheap as hell.

But competition for uniswap? Let's be realistic. You can't even start to compare fees when Hydranet has fraction of the volume of rune or uniswap, that seems like you are misleading newbs purposely.

And please tell me this is actually open source but i can't just find the code, because downloading closed source software for something this is just stupid.

And while $10M marketcap means there are lots of space to grow, it needs more then smoke and mirrors to rise and compete with big boys. And with all those cross-chain bridge attacks and stolen money last year, this or any other cross-chain tech doesn't seem like sure bet to me. It's going to be an important development sector, but i rather keep using CEXes and traditional DEXes for the time being.

Hydranet is closed source to prevent thieves from copying code which took YEARS to build, makes perfect sense, besides their web-wallet/web-dex is browser based, similar to Metamask, so it's a completely plug'n play solution.

Also, once the masses finds that you can trade at 1% of the regular fees, people will obviously use the cheaper, AND faster alternative, so there's a good reason this project will be in direct competition to Uniswap. Wink

When you can trade Bitcoin for Ethereum at close to 5-10 cents, instead of like $10, it gets interesting, and opens a lot of doors for trading, in a trustless evironment. It doesn't take a math genius to see the MASSIVE upside potential here.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Thorchain (RUNE) is soon obsolete, here's why. on: March 08, 2024, 04:56:24 AM
Hey fellow crypto enthusiasts!

Thorchain (RUNE) is currently one of the most popular DEX's out there, allowing native BTC trading on their platform. This makes them stand out from other ethereum-based DEX's such as Uniswap, or Sushiswap which only allows ethereum tokens.

There's just one major problem. A problem we've faced for YEARS now. Fees  Roll Eyes

Imagine if you could day trade BTC or ETH on a DEX, without paying $10 for each trade? That's currently NOT possible, nor feasible as each trade needs to be accepted on the network, which takes way way too long.

Hydranet has solved this issue with gas fees on Ethereum, as well as fees on Bitcoin trading. How? Off-chain trading. MADE SIMPLE.

Hydranet is currently sitting on a 11 mio marketcap, which is 180x LESS than Thorchain so the upside is MASSIVE on this one.

They built the first L3 DEX in the world
, it's Live, you can go use it already, but with limited pairs, and volume for now.

Next on their pipeline is a Web-DEX which will work similar to Metamask, offering near instant exchange settlements. This means you can access your own wallet, and trade exactly how you normally do, but with VERY small fees.  Wink

All fees on the DEX is used to buy-back HDN on the open market, as well as on-going fee distributions to token holders paid in ETH! Now, this is going to drive investor demand up immensely.

Hydranet could potential be a competitor to Uniswap, which if Hydranet reaches the same marketcap, it will be worth $70+/token. (And it's currently trading at 6!!!! cents).

Here's a comparison video between Thorchain, and Hydranet. It speaks for itself... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SJsAUx-hJA

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Hydranet (HDN) - World’s First Layer 3 DEX - Connecting BTC to ETH on: October 23, 2023, 05:54:41 PM
This sounds absolutely sick, really wonder why I haven't heard of this before.

When was the project started, and did they do an ICO of some sort?

There are tons of DEX's out there, only one (afaik) that allows you to trade with actual BTC is Thorchain - Seems like they'll get some serious competition if this project succeeds.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [HDN] Hydranet - The Worlds First Layer 3 DEX. Trade with next to ZERO fees! on: August 03, 2023, 02:10:30 AM
When does the mainnet version of this DEX roll out? It seems interesting.  Tongue

Is the max supply capped, or do the devs have any plans to change it later?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Human-Readable crypto addresses - Custom usernames on: February 16, 2021, 02:30:07 PM
I introduced crypto to a friend of mine as of late, and while I explained everything to him he asked me the following question:

Why are these "DBe81Titn69WPFYUMnBtLd2JeSrYAs6nKs" crypto addresses so inconvenient. Being forced to copy/paste it every time you have to send funds to it, or if you're real fancy, make use of QR codes.

He basically told me he thought the whole concept of these addresses is rather stupid and should be fixed, and I agree to some extend.
I did some research and found that the DIVI project is working on this exact problem. You can pick a customized username like "Jackson22", which is easy to remember, and fast to type.

Now the only problem I see with this is scammers trying to impersonate famous people like Elon Musk, picking a username that looks like him, but apart from that, it would be way easier to ask a buddy to send you XXX amount of crypto.

You can label your address in most core wallets, which makes it easier to find the right address, but imagine Twitch/Youtube streamers who could easily adopt this rather than displaying a stupid QR code on the screen. They could actually have a small text in the corner of the screen saying. "If you like my content, feel free to donate crypto to <Twitch-Username-Here>

I've been using crypto since 2014, and never really thought about this, but it makes sense to make addresses shorter. Thoughts?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Lightning Network - Thoughts? on: September 10, 2020, 06:45:29 PM
Do you know what the time frame is on that? Ethereum integration would be huge I imagine. Tons of projects depends on the ETH chain, so a LOT of volume could go this way whenever they get to it. Instant ETH trading sounds like a dream come true, pretty sick of the long transaction times, haha.
0.4.0.4 - New trading interface
0.4.0.5/6 - Raiden private key integration
2-3 builds away, and X9 is known for routinely putting out multiple builds in a week or even same day. Can't see it being very long.  Grin

Agreed. They released watch towers out of the blue, something the community expected would take MONTHS to integrate. I don't know how they do it this fast, but I love it!  Cheesy Grin
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Stakenet - Next short term 10x - Here's why. on: September 10, 2020, 06:43:31 PM
Yes i dig yesterday into the development of them.
Somebody wrote about it.

Why are they just so much under the radar yet?

I guess because not enough hype surrounding the project, I noticed that people are more interested in projects with lots of hype surrounding them, this is a way of drawing attention to the project, there are handful of projects like this one that are under the radar, nobody talk much about them not because they are not good but just they are less popular, and don't forget Defi trend has taken more attention from other projects.

its so unfortunate that traders/investers now forget the real value of chosing a project  . because before they will be interesred if theres a legit development on the project but now they were only get attracted if the project is on fire disregarding other factors .

this is the main reason why the coin we have here are rarely discovered despite of the update and consistency devs put towards it

I'm sure once ETH and it's tokens are integrated that the DEX will  take off massively, since there's SO many complaints about gas fees and failed transactions on Uniswap.

The Stakenet platform will beat Uniswap all it's competitors by a LONG shot.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Instant Decentralized Atomic Swaps Like Uniswap - Pretty Interesting on: September 10, 2020, 06:40:46 PM
Is it possible to know the daily trading volume on stakenet exchange? not the token.

I looked for it if the exchange is listed on Coinmarketcap but I can't see it except the token. The design looks interesting on that 2nd post and I can remember a bit exodus by that design.

The devs is soon making a website that lists the total volume of the DEX.

This DEX was launched at the beginning of the month, as is still in soft launch BETA.
You can get an idea of the volume here: https://orderbook.stakenet.io/XSN_BTC
Beginning of the month? I thought that this Stakenet has been existing long.

Btw, are those volumes that are popping are real-time updates? I thought that I'm looking to an update of volume that almost have nothing. The volume's still not that impressive.

Stakenet launched in march 2018, have spent 2 YEARS on developing this. Invented Cold staking, helped the LTC team implementing the Lightning Network on mainnet, and much much more.

Their main dApp was ready at the start of this month, which is where the pic above is from. For a DEX that has JUST been released the total trading volume is pretty damn impressive. Probably because you can access centralized exchanges through the DEX, via Liquidity providers, meaning you don't need to undergo KYC, login anywhere etc.

If it utilizes the Lightning Network that's really a good thing but how far can we trust it, are they new? Was the imahe you sent a desktop wallet or it's just a site?

So far the thing I used as an alternative right now from Uniswap was Justswap and it really just simple as Uniswap but it's insanely cheaper to trade and swap assets.

This DEX has been tested by 300+ people, NO ONE has lost their coins, it's very safe to use. Everything is custom coded, and can't be compared to the Lightning Network model we've seen straight on top of BTC.
This is a complete decentralized setup.

High fees are due to the growing volume of transactions and the trend of Defi seems to depend entirely on Uniswap. Actually this is one of the most prestigious exchanges and it is a good place for quality defi projects to survive.
I've also heard of Stakenet being a very good DEX but it doesn't diversify a lot of coins. That is why it is not good enough to gain the support of many traders. I think you should create a bounty campaign instead of just advertising with theoretical images like that. Wink

This DEX is 2 weeks old, and will support ETH and all it's 5000 tokens soon.
Uniswap is TRASH, failed transcations, EXPENSIVE gas fees... No thanks...

Instant virtually feeless trading, while being in control of my own private keys at all times? I'll take that any day.

First of all, it's not free at all you need to open a channel by rent a paid fee on their DEX.

Also, the problem of "Lightning Network" always has maximum money you can send and receive so doesn't really helpful like regular trading when you can trade with a big-money. Now with a limited the amount by Lightning Network did you think they like "Uniswap"? of course not right. However, everyone who wants to use "Lightning Network" needs to understand how they work like "Open A Chanel" for your transaction, since almost different at all with DEX like Uniswap, Etherdetla, or IDEX.

Soon you'll be able to use the DEX without even knowing you're on the Lightning Network Wink
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Stakenet - XSN - The Next 50x Altcoin Out There? on: September 08, 2020, 06:10:15 PM
Lots of accumulation going on right now.

Tempting to try and swing due to the volatility, but these violent pumps, makes me scared to do so, haha  Grin
It was quite a ride but hey, the development keeps progressing.
This basic swap UI took me by surprise. Trading should become a lot more simplistic with it. Wasn't expecting that at all.

It looks sick. Can't wait to try it. I love the DEX already, so this took me off guard as a surprise as well.

Development is progressing extremely fast, it's awesome!

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Lightning Network - Thoughts? on: September 07, 2020, 12:40:03 PM
The lack of adoption of Lightning network is as a result to poor marketing, this is what Ethereum does better than any project in the space, I think the team think they only need to build the network and users would rush using it when there are many competing solutions in the space.

The Lightning Network is not used by any people because it's not easily accessible, and useable for newbies. Stakenet is building the infrastructure to bring Lightning Network to the masses.
You'll see  Wink

Poor marketing for Lightning Network? Trust me,,, there is no need to market that just as there was no need to market Segwit. Users choose with the wallet and once Lightning wallets are easier and adopted by wallet providers, they will be the ones doing the "marketing". A lot of Stakenet talk I did not know it uses Lightning?

Users of the Stakenet Multi Currency Wallet will soon be using the wallet, and it's DEX without even knowing they are trading through the Lightning Network. From what I understand the devs is trying to make this as "normie friendly" as possible, which means channel renting, opening Lightning hubs etc is all done in the background.

This is quite cool, and exactly the kind of thing that will make people use it.
This is a pic from the latest dev announcement:

When swapping using this inbuilt tool, you'll actually be using the Lightning Network, without even knowing it, it's awesome!  Grin Grin

Huge accumulation going on right now, the price seems to have settled at about 3000 sats. I'm sure we'll see 5-6k in a few weeks, leading up to the launch of the DEX.  Wink
Think we can hit 10k by Christmas?  Cool

Double that.

Remember that we reached 12k sat in 2018 without any DEX, just the launch of the project really.
Once we get enough people onboarded, the price will grow organically.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Stakenet - XSN - The Next 50x Altcoin Out There? on: August 26, 2020, 06:56:20 PM
Stakenet has really impressed me in my marketing style as well as my efforts to create a great new foundation for the crypto market. With PoS coin you have to show the stability in the future of your token, otherwise no one will invest with you.
In order for Stakenet to do great things, it first needs to have financial support behind and many users to use your app. now I see things still theoretical and nothing has had a strong impact on the crypto market yet. What you need to do now is do a bounty and do an AMA to get more investors and the community.

Marketing has only just started. I'm sure we'll see XSN above $1 very very soon, as more and more people onboard the DEX and experience how FAST it is.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is UNISWAP?! What is WBTC?! Why is DeFi BOOMING?! on: August 26, 2020, 06:54:23 PM
While Uniswap is a nice place to buy a ton of shitcoins, it sucks ASS in terms of Gas fees. Costing upwards of $5-$10 to transfer your tokens, lol.

We need a second layer DEX with The Lightning Network, and The Raiden Network integrated, meaning you can trade instantly, with very very low fees.

The only project in existence working with this right now, is Stakenet (XSN).

They are in open beta right now, so anyone can trade on their DEX, which is built on top of The Lightning Network, with the Raiden Network being integrated soon.

Here's a quick glance at how it functions:

I got some hoping that the upcoming dex release pumps the price more.

Or it was already priced in and I just bought high and will have to sell low.

There's room for another 10x, in fact a 50x isn't unreachable either due to the low marketcap.

Hold on to your XSN, trust me, this one is a hidden gem, just waiting to enter CMC's top 100.

There's your 10x, I hope SOME of you listened.

There's still room for another 20-50x guaranteed in this project though. Don't believe me? Do your own research, and you'll find out why.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins Are Currently Surging Very Fast: Chainlink, Tezos and VeChain on: July 21, 2020, 01:40:51 PM
Chainlink is now among the ten top cryptocurrencies base on market capitalization. I see many of the altcoins that were performing badly gaining momentum. I believe that we would still have strong reasons to see more of this coins continue growing.

Utility is not driving the price, it is pure speculation. End of story.

Chainlink has a ton of partnerships, but no real use case. They still cannot stake, and you need to undergo KYC in order to run a node, on a centralized network, being Ethereum.

Chainlink isn't decentralized, which is kind of laughable. They didn't even move to their own blockchain yet, which could be a disaster if they want to rely on nodes running their oracles. Ethereum uses a centralized data protocol called Infura to process data between the ETH main chain, and it's tokens. Infura is a single point of failure, which could shut down the whole ETH network over night, making these "oracles" completely useless, as they cannot function without Infura in place.

Blocknet is making their own data protocol, which doesn't have this vulnerbility, which can process ETH based data in a decentralized way, which would benefit ETH a LOT. LINK is a hyped up project with a lot of "muh partnerships", to pump the price up. Tech wise, it's really not anything special.

It wouldn't surprise me if we see a small run up to $10, but once people realize it's way too hyped up, the price will crash, hard.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Big money moving in next year, means greater demand for DEX projects? on: July 21, 2020, 01:34:56 PM
this year is the year for the Defi project, maybe next year is a DEX project, it is very interesting to invest,
I am also still waiting for the price of Waves to go down, because Waves is also a DEX project

Waves is a "Hybrid", meaning it's not a true DEX. It's centralized.

Real DEX's like Blocknet is where the money is at though. Smart money is accumulating this one.  Wink
