1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: EXODUS WALLET WITH 1.4K USDT on: July 25, 2022, 03:15:13 PM
Hi there. Just a heads up there is a known Tron Multisig Scam going on at the moment. If you purchase this wallet, you may get the keys, however, the moment you add TRX to the wallet, the funds will most likely disappear. Please be careful and don’t ever purchase a loaded wallet. Remember never share your keys with anyone (and anyone offering their private keys is probably out to steal from you). Stay safe out there.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: out of sync tether USDT on: January 22, 2021, 03:02:51 PM

please help
Did you try doing what the error message suggests and either:

1. Tried clicking the "click here" link to learn how to "refresh your wallet"
or
2. contact Exodus' "24/7 support" using either the email address provided or the "contact exodus" button? Huh

Seems like that might be a good way to find out why Exodus' service is not working properly Wink

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exodus Wallet - Secure Backup? on: January 19, 2021, 01:59:45 PM
If Exodus as a company dies (HIGHLY unlikely at this point), the Exodus app will still open on your computer. The exchange feature won't work, obviously. Some assets won't be able to send due to our servers being down (some will fallback to public servers and still work). For those assets that don't work, you can either import your Exodus 12 words into a compatible wallet to claim them, or export private keys from your Exodus app and import each private key one-by-one into a wallet for that asset.

Exodus supports all of those except IOTA. Supports Linux.

Yes - Exodus is a great wallet for new people. Easy to use, beautiful wallet with staking available and customer support 24/7 every day.
And when you're ready to take your security to the next level, it links up seamlessly with the Trezor hardware wallet.

Correction: Yes - Exodus does have customizable BTC fees. So you can take that objection off the table.

Electrum is a fine wallet - but too confusing for brand new folks.

And speaking of security...
Here's a great guide from the Exodus team of things you should do to keep your assets safe - no matter which wallet you use.

Something's not quite adding up here...
"they was different wallets with the same seed."
You can't have two totally different wallets with the same seed. Not possible.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Jaxx Liberty eth wallet problem on: September 16, 2020, 11:12:13 AM
The wallet is ok for the moment. But I decide to go with exodus wallet.
AFAIR user can't set manually fees using exodus and its a no no if you want more control of your coins, there are lots of incidents where user cost $$ when sending using exodus since there no way you can change it. I just dunno if they change that feature.

For suggestion, you may try coinomi as it its multi wallet the same as jaxx and exodus, and you can set your fees with dynamic or custom fee.

Actually, you can set the BTC fees in Exodus. It has the dynamic fees or custom fees - plus it has an "accelerate" function to speed up the transaction if you accidentally set your fee too low.
8  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: What's the best wallet for Mac? on: August 29, 2020, 05:34:27 AM
I think Exodus wallet for Mac might be good choice since you said you're looking for a Multi-coin wallet. Exodus supports over 100 assets and since I have experience in using it, it is very easy to manage. It is secure if your desktop is malware free and you can even take back up of your private keys and keep them offline, just in-case you lose access to your desktop, so that you don't lose your coins. The only reason why I stopped using Exodus was that there was no way to adjust the fee whilst making a transaction and it seemed a bit high to me sometimes. Especially, while I was making a smaller transaction.

Melloiga - Download the latest update for Exodus. I think you'll find a pleasant surprise!

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a list of companies that will hire and pay solely in Bitcoin on: May 31, 2020, 01:43:20 PM
Exodus is a strong growing company, pays totally in BTC and all positions are 100% remote. Not sure if your skills line up with what they're looking for but you can check out the career openings here and decide if you want to apply:

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the different multi cryptocurrency wallets for staking cryptos? on: May 26, 2020, 08:36:43 PM
There are few wallets that I am aware of like Atomic wallet, trust wallet, Tezos and ledger.

Are there any more and do they all support multi cryptocurrency staking also?

The above four do support staking as per my understanding.

As far as I can tell only atomic wallet and trust wallet has inbuilt staking features, but what I don't like about staking coins is security, you still have to send out tokens from your wallet to another address for staking to starts. No safe of you ask me

Nope - you can currently stake NEO, ONT and XTZ in the Exodus wallet.
And no need to send them out to another address.   Grin
11  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor or Ledger? And how to get my forks Bitcoin Cash / Gold / SV?? on: May 13, 2020, 09:40:15 PM
Exodus has one-click claiming for all those forks.
And the Trezor links up seamlessly within the wallet - no need for clunky extra software like Ledger.

DO NOT use anything from exodusupdate.com or any links from the Medium articles.
Those are links to scam phishing downloads.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Risks of the Exodus Exchange function ("CoinSwitch Scam") on: May 09, 2020, 09:55:54 PM
While the situation outlined in your post is terrible and definitely not the experience that Exodus users deserve, it is a rare occurrence. Thousands of people use the Exodus exchange feature everyday without issue - you've presented two. It is extremely rare that exchanges are ever held and only happens when an exchange is flagged if it is suspected of being connected to a blacklisted address.

While we were extremely unhappy with how this situation all went down, it did teach us quite a few things about how to go forward. While we can never repay someone for the troubles they've endured, this customer was fully repaid by Exodus plus extra for their trouble. We even named the new internal company policy after this customer as a reminder to us.

Just a final word of warning about reposting things like this...
While it may be getting reposted with good intentions, the full circumstances behind an incident may not be fully explained in the original post, the story is usually only told from one person's perspective or it may not be true at all.

Thanks for allowing me to comment on this rare but ugly incident.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Guys, be aware of a new scam! Stay safe with your funds! on: February 26, 2020, 01:00:20 PM
Thanks for bringing this to people's attention so others don't get scammed.

But this is not Exodus doing the scamming. There are scammers that are hacking YouTube channels and then using livestreams from popular crypto companies to scam people. It's happening to other companies within the space as well like Atomic wallet and Ledger.

Like you said - people will not trust this kind of wallet if they are promoting it from a hacked account.
So what would Exodus gain by doing this? Nothing - it would create a bad appearance and ruin their business. To think that a company like Exodus would destroy their business in order to scam a few measly BTC is ridiculous.
16  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [Unofficial] Exodus Wallet | Multi-Currency | Built-in Exchange on: February 09, 2020, 07:00:25 PM
Eden is an unsupported pre-release beta version for testing purposes only.
It is no longer readily available to the general public and only for those who have been invited to be beta testers.
Things will break frequently in Eden and people should use the supported main version of Exodus.
This article's information is out of date and should be ignored.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best wallet on: December 13, 2019, 01:35:24 PM
Exodus has been the best wallet I've ever used! Beautiful, easy and their support team is the greatest!
And for extra security, it pairs up perfectly with the Trezor hardware wallet. So much easier than Ledger - you don't need to download any goofy extra software for it. It all works seamlessly inside your Exodus wallet.

Here's the info and intro video on the Exodus + Trezor experience:

Best of luck!

There's been about 40 upgrades to the wallet since this information was put out.

Also, every wallet can be susceptible to being hacked if your computer security is lax. That's why I suggested pairing it with a Trezor.

Exodus also put out a great guide of steps to take to keep your assets safe. I think the tips should be used by everyone - regardless of which wallet you use.

20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A question about wallets (BTC and USDT) on: December 01, 2019, 02:54:59 PM
I use exoduse wallet for bitcoin. Simple and safe.

Thanks for the question tho, it reminded me to check on nwc this weekend.

Exodus wallet isn't as safe as you think though. It's not open source, and if I remember correctly, the private keys are stored on your device in clear text; that's a very very big issue no doubt. Hardware wallets are still the way to go.

Exodus does not store your private keys in clear text. All information about your assets are encrypted on your own device.
It also works seamlessly with Trezor if you want to implement more security. Easy, beautiful and safe.
