I started Cloak on day 1, and have no interest in defamation for personal gain. I would only like to point out to Alty that most of his decisions when it comes to PR have been based on the actions he expects from fudders as a result. What he likely fails to realize is that by making decisions based on these fudders, he has helped destroy the earnings made by people invested in Cloak because they believed in it, such as myself. Hopefully in the future Alty realizes that his lack of communication has made decent people lose millions collectively, and as a result decides to start promoting this project consistently. Best of luck Cloakers, I'm gonna go ahead and take my loss now.

My wallet will not stay connected. When I upgraded to the new wallet it was constantly crashing so I made a new wallet.dat and moved my coins. Now whenever I open the wallet it connects, but then once it gets caught up it no longer syncs. Can someone help me with this problem? I am using the most recent nodes from the block explorer.

Can't the trustless just be added on top of the anon feature?
I believe so. They are currently working with the auditor to implement a working fix within the week. If they had to build it from the ground up again, this would take much longer. |

So we complain about Cloak not providing enough transparency, then when they do and it proves that their anon is currently the equivalent of Darkcoin but still being worked on actively, we say it's a scam and then go back to the Darkcoin thread and praise it?

If Cloak were to die, it would be a huge shame as it has unique features and one of the most forward thinking teams in crypto. If this coin fails, there is no point for me and all of the investors who put their money behind coins for their technology and real world application to continue in crypto. This truly is a gem of a coin, and if it can't succeed simply because of the pump and dumpers and weak hands, then no good coin has much hope.

so, the price went up for a beta testing release? and now people are wondering why the price is where it is while for all intents and purposes we are still up for no real reason. If you don't think it's going up, don't buy. But IMO that pump was an amazing display of how quickly this is ready to go up.
Do whatever, but don't do it just because some douchebag is trying to play Nostradamus.

Everyone who is worried about the price plummeting needs to take a few minutes and just breath real slow. All of this panicking and negative thinking is driving the price down even further. How many have said they were long term investors in this technology but have already jumped ship because of a small price drop? POSA will come, and the price will go right back up to its peak and soon enough surpass it. Just chill out, grow some patience and stop constantly looking at graphs =)

People should stop letting greed dictate which coins they decide to get behind. Aren't most of us here because we believe in the future of cryptocurrencies? How bout we focus on the innovative aspects these coins intend to deliver to make Crypto as a whole a more viable and useful alternative to real money, instead of getting caught up bickering like children over which candy is better.

Cloakcoin at a glance... The in wallet btc exchange and marketplace looks interesting but… (oops, just found out the in wallet exchange is actually just an api from a small centralized non-trustless exchange and not actually a decentralized trustless wallet to wallet exchange.) Cloakcoin had a failed Ninja launch with a 7 day pow 4.5 million coin instamine that has a 6% pos inflation issue. it's also a self-moderated thread that has been censored to cover up launch issues. so far cloak looks to be mostly vaporware but time will tell. anon devs with closed source unreviewed features is also troubling. it has lots of problems to overcome but it could give xc ( 1% 2%+ premined, 3 week, 4 million+ coin instamine, self-moderated thread) a run in the pos lane. i may still invest in cloak but i think i’ll wait for more solid info and the inevitable big dump before buying in. congratulations to those who instamined all the coins in the first 7 days. when those people start dumping just a small part of their holdings it will be epically brutal. you may say that darkcoin also had a instamine issue the first few days and you would be correct, darkcoin should have been relaunched. drk was however distributed very well over the next few months for pennies because no one knew how big the anon market would be. the same can't be said of cloak and xc as the anon hype created by darkcoin caused instaminers to hold those instamined coins waiting for the perfect opportunity/liquidity to dump. the cryptobloat cryptonote coins have worse compatibility issues than cloak and xc preventing mass adoption as well as bloating issues that are supposedly being worked on but it's just theoretical vaporware fixes right now. darkcoin is a superior pow coin purposely based on bitcoin for easy integration everywhere bitcoin is (this is huge). plus i won't even get into the unlimited 2.0 functionality possibilities of the trustless decentralized masternode system or all the other drk innovations like x-11, dgw, sporks and the fastest/instant anon transactions (darksend+) on the market. the only question is who will take 2nd place to darkcoin? any questions?  I'm sorry, I stopped reading when I read "failed ninja launch". This launch wasn't promoted as much as some other coins, but there was a Cloakcoin thread on this forum since the very beginning, and I started mining right away. Everyone had the same opportunity for a week, and the network showed that people were mining Cloak. That's why it was upwards of 100 Ghz the entire week. Just because you and others didn't check the announcements thread often enough to notice does not make it an instamine. Do you mind explaining what launch issues occurred? |

Are you guys planning on redesigning the wallet UI anytime soon? If so i would love to help, I trade on exchanges so i don't even have a wallet downloaded, but i messed around with some graphics if any of the devs are interested let me know, i can finish it up, free of course.  That would be awesome looking!!! +1000 This is just average looking. No offense but if your your gonna change it letsmake it over the top, not that I can do better, just like to see better Yeah. We should emphasize that this is an excellent step in the right direction, just not the top-tier end product. Looking forward to it, tho :] The misspelled words are part of the problem. |

Help community !
My coins has been stolen by a hacker. I have lost 28`184 Cloak coins. It was everything I had. Everything I have worked for during my time in Crypto. I don`t like the idea of asking for donations but I am lost what to do. Any help, financially or otherwise, would be appreciated greatly !

Sorry for your loss. You are understandably upset, but can we not have this message as headline news on the official Facebook Group for Cloak that you run? Getting responses like: "Rob Behnke:oh no! Are you the dev? How did this happen?" is inevitable and doesn't look very good for the community. +1 Although I feel for this guy for losing his coins, its very unprofessional to use the official Cloakcoin facebook page to serve personal needs. As the poster above stated, this type of post from Cloakcoins account itself gives uncertainty to outsiders as well as Cloakcoin holders that do not 100% believe in the coin yet. Please remove the post, I'm sure potential new Cloakcoin investors will be turned off to the idea of putting their money somewhere that has supposedly been hacked, and is currently asking for donations. |

Dev's... Please build a dedicated cloak multi-pool. ASAP!
Ok sir!!! We'll stop PoSA and OneMarket right now   (that's a joke btw in case anybody decides to misinterpret). Btw, on a more serious note: Our previous dedicated multipool was going well but was costing the pool owner $150 in server costs and 3 hours a day of work. He was losing money on it when factoring in his time etc. He'd reopen it if we could get a constant 5 gh/s. No offence to the Pool Owner but there were a lot of super late payments, and even one that went missing. If he's not able to keep the agreement set by his pool, then people will drop off and stop mining it. The hashrate dropped significantly every time a payment was missed (which happened at least 4 times during the last multipool hosting attempt). I'm sure that if there was a dedicated multipool that paid everyday on time like it promised, we would be talking about a much higher hashrate. |

Update:
We have the daemon with the CLOAK PoS patch sync'd up from scratch and the code is ready.
These are being run through the build server along with PoSA build and we will push it as soon as it's all ready to go.
PoSA testers will receive an invitation shortly to a private IRC in preparation for "beta testing". Great, can't wait! |

I have no idea what the price ceiling is with Cloak, but one things for sure...It's going to beat Dogecoin for 3rd most volume in BTC today. That's a HUGE achievement!

No payout on the multipool today. What's the problem?
This is not the only day that is an issue either. The multipool didn't pay out a few days ago because of problems with Cryptsy...Payments for that day appear to have been skipped, as the following days payment was just average. There is also no hashrate listed for that day, and no payout history. So theres actually two days now that are unaccounted for...I only have brought this up a few times because the Multipools success depends on its ability to payout consistently. |

Have you used multiple addresses? It happens the same for me, because I created new addresses to receive coins from different exchanges. Don't worry, if your wallet says that you have 2352, that's the number
Thanks, I won't fret over it. All have been on the same address, but if the block explorer is capable of having errors then I guess I have nothing to worry about. |
