"Nice" little problem after the downtime: my locked FUN should have been released during the downtime... well it's still locked. Anyone with a solution or own experiences ? Thanks Dia

It's a pitty that the free WOF spins are once again not working . Even more annoying is the fact that premium days are not counting... Dia Are you about that? I mean are you sure premium days have halted to count again? Because for me they seem to be ok up to now, except I still haven't got back the missed ones. Yeah, my premium days have stopped for at least 5 days AFAIK... and still now WOF spins. Dia

A serious time of my contributions to Bitcoin Core has to do with the GUI. I'm no designer but the GUI just HAS TO work, should have no logical errors or missbehave on certain user input and be easy to understand. Remember the old settings dialog, IMHO that is a big improvement over the one we had a year or more ago for example. If you want to change things try to contribute and don't just start new threads about how ugly the Qt GUI is . You could also send me 1000 BTC and I'm going to study arts and will redesign the GUI and include some rap-music ^^. Another hint, you can switch default Qt themes by supplying for example "-style fusion" when starting the application (it has to be the last parameter). Dia

The Foundation has received plenty of donations which is why it can now afford to pay three full time devs, at least for a while.
Peter - for what it's worth I think you're doing the malleability fixes wrong. I haven't bothered to argue about it or strongly object because unlike you I think something is better than nothing in this regard, but if you like I'll deluge your pull requests in endless criticism too. Wouldn't that be fun!
<thinks loud>Sometimes I whish I would also get a small crumb of donations...</thinks loud> Anyway, I think it's bad to be not focused on improving things, but just on destroying anothers thoughts and work... EVEN if I have objections. Some of the projects idleness comes from that fact IMHO. I also think more users should help testing pulls on Github and give feedback. Often there sneak in bugs into releases that shouldn't be in there because of the RC phases for example. Dia

It would be nice if Bitcoin would move to BangDB, way better performance.
The one thing that never ever will be more important than performance is data-security . I don't say we should keep BDB either ^^... Dia

Beers on me for the devs. Toss me an address if you know their donation addresses.

I feel like OMG is not thought of as an addition or bleading edge thing, but tries to get people away from the official reference client?
Dia

I'm not sure spaming users with Bitcoin-OMG builds (what does that name mean anyway -_-) is the right thing to do. It's nice you are doing this, but IMHO you try to be too quickly perhaps and I'm also not sure all testers are understanding, what they are testing really...

Are the instances of DB corruptions on Windows caused by the same problems occuring on the OSX builds?
About which Windows corruptions are you talking about? Dia

What filesystems are in use on Mac? And did anyone try my std::stream branch ? Dia

Is it not possible that LevelDB or something else related to the data files is failing silently?
I would say that's at least not impossible... Dia

I created a pull (not specific to this problem), which uses std::fstream instead of fopen() and such for reading/writing block/undo files. Perhaps this can help in a way that it works a little different than current code, dunno. I also added somewhat clearer exception error messages. https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/3277It's not intended for getting merged into the master branch yet, perhaps it never will, but you can give it a try. Could still take some time, recently there were some big cleanups and payment request feature is in and got polished. What is still missing is coin control.

Guys, this is a pretty cool project and via the tips I got my first "donation" ever for participating to Bitcoin-Qt . It's motivating to further help here and I love it. Dia

Most of the devs I know have a habit: They must do something every day Payment protocol stuff was a business demanded feature, intended to address some of the problems that have cropped up with Bitcoin URLs. Its certainly not something sexy or exciting to work on. Well, to me it's sexy to improve and work on the UI at least . Dia
