The question is highly irrelevant, because only GAW employees and shills get an invite. Coinstand is not the large merchant that was promised to Paycoin buyers, it's completely fake. It's there to pump up the price of XPY for Homero Garza to dump his massive premine. And even that failed, because the price of XPY is down again.

I'm sorry you guys feel that way...I can promise you I am not a shill paid or otherwise and I definitely am not kissing the cinnamon hole ( that made me LOL ) any way I got an invite and yes I have been positive on XPY that is no secret...I am giving a review as things progress on HT. I have been upfront andv honest about my experience with CoinStand so far...it not done yet as I have not received goods yet. Keep an open mind...it might be good for all crypto.

Josh has not bad mouthed BTC

Why are you even covering for his gaffes? I understand you like PayCoin's promises, fair enough. Admitting that the leader is prone to running his mouth would actually give you guys more credibility, I'm surprised that you don't see it. Blindly defending even the most outrageous statements is one of the reasons for this deepening rift between PayCoin proponents and opponents. Not that there aren't any other issues mind you.

I am not blind I can assure you that. Yes Josh has a habit of saying things with out considering how his opposition will twist it. Seems a lot of folks have become quite the experts at it. i am not trying to cause any rift ...truth is I do not frequent this forum by choice but I used to have a friendly relationship with K6TTR and he said he would answer questions so I asked a couple and in waiting for a reply chose to address what I see half truths and twisting of words.
4  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: December 04, 2014, 12:49:00 AM
true any merchant that accepts BTC as payment probably does not hold it but exchange it for fiat.

http://www.coindesk.com/overstock-ceo-patrick-byrne-1-6m-bitcoin-sales/

Actually Overstock's CEO came out and said they would hold 10% of all BTC purchases as BTC. So they aren't dumping everything.

He also stated he was looking to push BTC use down into the supply chain and was willing to cut deals for those that choose to accept BTC.

That is a smart move and will help with the adoption. It only make sense, if the retailer can use crypto to pay vendors for goods and services that helps complete the cycle minus fiat dump.

@lothendriel

It just makes me sad kind of to see people within the community as a whole fighting each other. I don't know about you but the main reason I got into crypto was to support the cause. Of course there's money to be made but if all we focus on is the money then we're no better than the corrupt banking & financial institutions that the crypto movement was was invented to counter in the first place.

Since I can't reply to you on HT I'll do it here. You honestly believe that GAW gives a rats ass about crypto-currency as a whole and not just to make as much money as fast as they can so Josh can sell the company for billions as he has already stated? He is badmouthing bitcoin calling it not viable and that paycoin will fix everything and blow bitcoin away. He has the majority of HT users believing that. This is what you think is good for crypto-currencies as a whole?

I honestly think GAW gives a shit about crypto. Yes they are in business to make money...who isn't? Josh has not bad mouthed BTC and has stated Paycoin should compliment it and help make it more main stream. The goal is to make it easy for any one to use. Do you not think that will bring new people to crypto? BTC is easy for you and me to use because we have been in the game...How many times have you tried to explain BTC to a newbie and got a glossed over stare? PC will introduce crypto to new people and those new people will find interest in other alts including BTC.

Actually Josh has specifically stated that BTC has "failed" and is "not viable".

That sounds like badmouthing if I've ever heard it.

Looks like word twisting to me...he said "where BTC has failed" and you know there is a specific meaning to that statement and I never seen him say its not viable. Keep painting with that broad brush

Does this guy know what he is talking about? From this post on HT

https://hashtalk.org/topic/15099/i-think-i-figured-out-josh-s-plan

So lets say you're a big retailer, take Amazon for example. Sure, they could accept bitcoin, it's just software. But they wont, because your investment can go down as well as up. Amazon are not going to sell things for a currency that could be worthless tomorrow. Bitcoin has value right now, but tomorrow the price could fall to pennies and never come back up. This is true of all investments, not just bitcoin

Its my understanding that company's like newegg, overstock.com etc. are hosted by company's like coinbase etc. and transactions are managed and converted to fiat for the seller instantly at current BTC value, thus there is no risk for seller, coinbase excepts all the risk of BTC "falling to pennies" as he says in his HT post. lol So I guess his assumption is wrong or he is just uninformed. The retailer holds no BTC    Cry

He needs to do his homework a little more.

Yes and no.  The point is that these companies are simply dumping for fiat, as you say instead of holding the crypto.  Insta dumping hurts the value.

GAW's vision is to create a stable coin so these companies won't immediately dump.  It's going to take time to get companies on board with this.

A company will never hold crypto. It doesn't matter if it's bitcoin or paycoin. Crypto will always be too volatile compared to FIAT, no matter how much you try to financially back it. A free market is a free market, you cannot control the price of a coin forever. In this sense, paycoin will never truly be useful at all. Bitcoin already does a fine job of being used for transactions because of payment processors like Coinbase.

GAW is trying to fix something that isn't broken.

I'm sorry but it absolutely will not catch on anywhere besides the inner circle of Hashtalk.

I'm in agreement the financial cost alone to switch to any other type of currency that can't be immediately converted to fiat would sway them away. Main street will never switch, Thats a given.. The biggest question is WHY? Why switch? what benefit out weighs the current system. For the individual there are benefits for company's their are no benefits

The cost will be minimal. It is going to use already existing payment platforms. If a business accepts BTC the will be able to accept PC. The new coin will be able to loaded onto a debit card and used in existing card readers. the benefit to a company is huge...fees in the pennies instead of 2-3% of the transaction. When the bean counters figure out to accept the coin will reduce the fees to accept CC payments what do  you think will happen? 2-3% to a tier 1 major retailer is a lot of money.

Would it help ANYONE if I had an open Q&A to address my motivations and reasoning for today's announcement?

Scott-

Yeah right here

OK, let's begin. Ask away and I will do my best to answer them in a direct manner. Even my critics are welcome to join as long as they keep it civil.

Scott-

What started all this?...I remember you from HT and seemed you used to be  a happy and active member of that community.

What is the end game? what do you hope to accomplish?
9  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners (Scrypt/SHA256 miners and Hashlet cloud) independent feedback thread on: November 24, 2014, 10:21:10 PM
@KC6TTR I am bummed you got banned from HT…I enjoyed reading your posts. I always figured you for one of the smart ones and someone I could learn from. I am also kinda bummed to find you here with the hate. Obviously I do not frequent this forum…curiosity got to me and I instantly recognized your screen name and remembered chatting with you about that liquid cooling stuff you where researching. Very cool stuff BTW (no pun Grin )

I have no wish to be disrespectful so please don't take my post in that regard. I do disagree with your position about GAW and we should leave it at that. It was not even my intention to post here at all But I remembered having some good conversations with you and I felt compelled to post to you. I will not try to persuade you from your opinion but if I may I would like to leave you with a little saying I like to use "forgiveness is not for the person being forgiven" Don't be bitter bro, for you, not for any one else…best of luck to you and I hope your life is like a loaf of Italian…long and full of dough  Wink

I had a heap of referrals and they just deleted my account. Scam worthy!

Why? What did you do to earn this?

Probably he was polite and was just asking some questions in a friendly manner.

Is that a GAW endorsement in your sig???…EPIC!
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW OneMiner ZenCloud Hashlet - does it really exist? ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: August 26, 2014, 06:43:38 AM
Spend $20 get a Hashlet and see what happens. It is my belief that all you people saying that GAW is a scam are not correct. Your views are understandable and some of their behavior could seem suspect.

I am a customer of GAW and have been for a few months now. I started off with one 1.3 MHs Fury. I had some difficulty with my order in the beginning and will admit it took a few days for them to address me. Once I got their attention I was treated very fairly and was in constant contact with them all the way through. I then went to the ZenCloud with a new miner. I have PM's a mile long with Eric of Zenminer  treating me fairly and compensating me for a day of lost time (more than was owed I might add)

I have taken advantage of free upgrade to Hashlets and my payouts have increased. I can take the funds at any time and often do. I have even asked the CEO Josh to call me on my cell phone for a concern I have and he called me 5 minutes after I PM'd him.

I can certainly understand how people could think this is all a scam but for me the behavior suggests otherwise. I have even seen Josh set up a matching fund for charity and follow through with a donation to help a member of the Hashtalk community (DrPaul) I have seen him fund a members BTCJam loan and then tell him "we take care of our own around here"

The guy just spent $1,000,000 to acquire domain "BTC.com" and $8,000,000 to acquire ZenMiner. He is readily accessible in the forum. GAW has made announcements and every one is for the benefit of miners.

I will admit, I am a GAW fanboy…LOL  Are they perfect? no they are not. Do they have whats best for the miner in mind?…Yea I believe they do.

Anywhere you choose to spend money in the Crypto arena is a HUGE gamble. Lots of crap companies out there. and it is sad that this industry has brought out more crooks than legit folks. I am nobody special just an average guy with a small mining hobby and so far GAW has proven they are in it for the long haul and care about the customer. i believe they truly want to offer value to the customers and NOT rip them off

If I get burned by GAW I will come back here and eat a great big piece of humble pie…but so far they have been good to me, made problems right and offered me a great value for my money. Just my .00000001 BTC

12  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Advice for new users regarding CLOUD MINING on: August 15, 2014, 06:23:39 AM
Thank you for posting that DrG. I don't think I am new but I know there is a lot more I need to learn. I don't frequent this forum very much but I have enjoyed many of your posts.

I also wanted to address GAW/Zenminer. As a customer of theirs with 8 miners on "the ZenCloud" I am very satisfied with them. Even before the merge both have shown me they care very much about the customers. I have had a few bumps with them but they have stayed in constant contact with me and made every one of my issues right. In my book that counts for a lot. I been on this earth for a few years and I know "Stuff Happens" and it is how that stuff gets felt with that counts the most.

I would second your suggestion to read up on difficulty and the such. Find out all you can before you make a leap into the crypto realm. I am still trying to figure out how to ROI…LOL but once you get involved in this it is highly addictive. No visible chance to make my money back but I just can't stop playing around with these miners…LOL

I would also add once you take DrG's advice and educate your self….never and I mean NEVER invest more money then you are willing to loose. One day this all looks good and you gonna make some ching and 10 minutes later BTC went from $630 to $513 ( I just lost $200 BTW)…. Grin

@Bitsaurus …LOL I just read your snappy comebacks to the "shill posts"  Cheesy

Ah, here in Butterfly Labs Land we are looking at 91-95 F (33 C) over the next few days with a ton of rain and wind.

Ah!

Kansas!

Whats up JayHawker??  I have been through Kansas couple hundred times crossing this great land of ours. I reside in the land of fruits and nuts….California

Summer is the best season…except when it is like Africa hot out side but I like it better than winter. Snow chains on a semi truck are vey heavy and most people around here in Cali have not a clue how to drive in snow (or in general for that matter)

Most Cali people who live in the mountains know how to drive in snow.  It's all the clueless snowboarders and skiiers going to Big Bear, Mammoth etc.  Now rain, we are just complete morons.  People seem to actually drive faster since traffic moves too slow for them.... and then they fly off the overpass or slam into the center median.

I know the mountaineers can do it ….but there is a reason they close the Grapevine when it gets 1/64th of an inch of snow fall…LOL…I drive over Donner pass all the time also..Wrecks-O-Rama when it snows there too…I will say the craziest winter drivers are in Ohio..I have had people pass me in my semi truck, while its blizzading, on the sidewalk…no lie. 3 different drivers on the same day…and I don't drive slow in the snow

US. At war with humanity since it's foundation.

I notice you're typing in English and not in German.  Interesting.  Hitler was such the humanitarian  Roll Eyes
What the heck are you talking about?

Ahh.. this thread suits you a little better than the "end with a question" thread. DrG is talking about the fact that if it where not for Americas "war on humanity"  as you call it, you would be writing your post in German if you where aloud to write it at all. The US has and does participate in wars it should not but..it has participated in wars that mattered the most and prevailed I am sure you have heard of World War 2…maybe you are a youngster and just don't know history well enough yet.

No. How could you find any humour in it?
Looks like you have a bad case of Grumpyitis, If the reason I find humor in it is not obvious, well… maybe you should stick to more serious threads….Right?
