Something I noticed with the later versions of sgminer is the darkcoin bin is not compiled, possibly due to the number of errors generated by the ckolivas initial compile. I also see in the log file that the max TC is listed during the ckolivas compile instead of the TC listed in the configuration. Is this normal?

Any help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. I've tried numerous changes to the config file with no improvements. I'm not really sure what is going on in the log file to help me understand the problem.

Graphic cards (MSI 280, Sapphire 290 Tri X)
Catalyst Driver 14.4
Win7 x64  i7 920 and 6GB ram
Algos: X11, X13 X15, NIST, Keccak

My situation is I am trying to find the optimal conf for each algo by running sgminer 5 with a static algo port at NiceHash. Once I find the optimal settings, I will then build out the full conf file using the multi-algo ports. The problem is I can't get my system to run on any version later than sgminer-5.0-pre-release-2014-06-11-win32. Any of the later versions cause rejects with share above target errors and the log file indicates invalid nonce - HW error.

I'm currently running with X11 on the sgminer-5.0-pre-release-1-win32 version and I'm able to get both cards to run 24+ hours at max TC and intensity 19. When testing with more recent versions of sgminer 5, I set the TC to a minimal value and intensity 8, and I get the reject errors.

Once I find a working setup, I'll split some of the config entries into a profile to make it easier to manage, but for now I need to keep everything together since this is an earlier version of sgminer that doesn't support profiles.

Here is my batch file

Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
del *.bin
Color 0A
sgminer --config Multi-Algo.conf 2>logfile.txt

Can you guys add a way to link payment address to our accounts, so we don't have to go in the worker section and scroll down to find our payment address each time!

No need for NiceHash to do that for you. Just save a bookmark in your browser the next time you are on your payment page. Then you can go directly to the payment page each time without scrolling though the payment list.

how do we test the vardiff? just make our password "X"?

The vardiff is working regardless of what you use in the password section. I have a diff= setting in the password and it works as the initial vardiff, but then soon changes depending on how well or poorly my mining is working.

@Ajeto

Sgminer mutli-algo has to start with a base kernel before it can change to the current multi pool kernel. There is no way to change that because that is how it is designed. You can check it out by writing the config file from the miner when it is running and you will see the pool-kernel in the algorithm section, but there is also a "kernel" : "ckolivas.cl" in the general config section at the bottom. Without the kernal specification on the general config section, it will still revert to the default kernel config when it first compiles the bin file.

What I do is let the miner compile the bin file with the ckolivas kernel, then wait for a minute or so until the multi-algo section compiles. On my system it takes up to 3 minutes before the final bin file is compiled and the miner starts working.

Thanks for helping the community!

Today we introduced another advanced feature for GPU miners - Fine tuning with custom speed factors and daily costs. You can now set custom hashing rate factors and even your electricity power consumption as well! This will make sure your miner mines on absolutely most profitable algorithm. You can also configure your miner, for example, to only switch between X11 and X13 (whichever is more profitable) even if globally some other algorithm is more profitable. Visit https://www.nicehash.com/multialgo/#finetuning and play around Wink I'm sure this is one very nice tool for GPU users to play with!

I've read the link posted 3 times and I don't see information where I can set my custom speed factors. My factors are very close to the default factors, but it would we wonderful if I could fine tune the factors to have my multi-algo working precisely with what is best for me and not what the default pool is determining to be the best. Was that the intention of the new development or am I misunderstanding the news? Where exactly does it show how to set the custom speed factors?
9  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - innovative professional cryptocurrency cloud mining service on: June 06, 2014, 10:07:05 PM
No overclocking. I have tried reducing the memclock, gpu-engine, thread-concurrency, and intensity settings, but nothing seems to make a difference with the 4337 port. When using the 3337 port, I can run the GPU at the same max settings I'm using for the other algorithms.

It may be kernal related because I'm now testing the marucoin-modold kernel that was released with the latest build and the pool has been running on port 4337 for 30 minutes at max settings. The marucoin and marucoin-mod kernels cause the GPU to die within minutes of start up.

Edit: Nope, GPU went to 0.000M after 45 minutes. I'll try reducing the settings and see what happens since the marucoin-modold is the most successful so far.
10  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - innovative professional cryptocurrency cloud mining service on: June 06, 2014, 09:24:02 PM
It most likely is related to the switching of algorithms. Everything in the pool settings is identical except for the port. I'm trying the latest release with the marucoin-modold kernel to see if it makes a difference.
11  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - innovative professional cryptocurrency cloud mining service on: June 06, 2014, 08:24:44 PM
I'm not sure if it's a sgminer 5.0 issue or if it the version compiled by NiceHash. I can't get the X13 algorithm to run more than 5 minutes when using the 4337 multi-switching port. I ran more than 24-hours without a problem when using the 3337 port, but then I don't have the switching capability.

Initially I thought I was pushing my GPU too hard and reduced the pool settings. However, any setting that works easily on port 3337 will result in a GPU error, or GPU DEAD message in sgminer when using port 4337. The GPU will mine for 5 minutes without a problem, then suddenly the hastrate falls to 0.000M and only a hard reboot will get the GPU back on track. Any idea what is port related that causes the GPU to stop working?

@hodgeac

I ran into the same problem you mention and what I did was build a single algo config with only the name, url, user, pass, and pool-algorithm. I put everything else in the collective general section at the end. I confirmed that worked and then I slowly removed the the pool- configurable items from the general section and put them in the pool section one by one and tested each time that they worked. I noticed that no matter which pool-algorithm I used, the initial bin file always was built using the ckolivas kernel, then when that completed, the proper kernel bin would build. I found that really strange, but a consistent pattern with all algos. Sometimes I had to launch the config more than once to get the kernel to build properly. Also, I found the pool-algorithm is mandatory in the pool config. If it is not there, the bin will not build and an error is listed after the compile.

Once I had a fully tuned config for one algorithm with all of the pool- settings working, I saved it to a separate text file, then I constructed the next algorithm config. Once I had all of the individual configs working and tuned on the 3XXX ports, I copied all of the separate algo configs into a single large config file and changed all of the ports to 4XXX. Everything is running as expected with automatic multi-switching. I do have a large number of job not found errors with the Keccak algo, but I think it's a stratum problem and not the config.

The BPASMAM is working well for me after I tested and tuned each pool. However the Keccek_multi pool is showing some problems. I'm getting around 40% rejects (Job not found) and I'm also seeing an occasional GPU invalid nonce count - HW error. Anyone else seeing these issues with the Keccak algo?

What happens if you use another BTC address?
FYI... My stats are active again without resetting my miners. Also my payment went out for the first time in several days once my stats became active.

For the past 2 days, when I check my miner statistics, it says no data. I know the statistics page was interrupted by the DDos attacks, but will the page be restored soon? When I check the miner list, there are payable accounts with stats, but my account is not on the list. My miners have been running consistently for the last week. Do I need to restart to get back on the list or will the page be restored on its own?
you are not alone i get no data on

guess there is always the super stable wafflepool

Make sure you typed BTC address correctly in your username, we get a lot of incorrect BTC addresses and of course, we can't send BTCs on because BTC addresses are invalid. After that, make sure you are mining for correct algorithm and viewing for that algorithm.

The stats should appear online after about 10min since your activity started (accpted share).

I have my statistics link saved in my browser so I can quickly check my stats and payments. The link has been working for the past 2 weeks. Suddenly 2 days ago I get a No data message, exactly as shown in the link bexwhitt provided. I know the BTC payment address is correct because the link has always worked and I've been paid with the BTC address up until yesterday. So the question is, if my miners are using the same address with accepted WUs, why are there no stats available? Are you sure you have completely solved the stats problem from the DDoS? If you think it would help, I could restart the miners to see if that helps restart the stats page.
