Haven has successfully hardforked to V3!

V3 Features:

• CryptoNight Haven Algorithm: This is a tweak on the cryptonight heavy algorithm we are currently using that will once again make us incompatible with nicehash. This is important while we are a growing network to ensure cheap power can't be rented to dominate the network hash.
• Governance Fee: As voted by the community, a 5% governance fee will be added to the block reward. This fee will be used to pay for Listings, Lawyers and Developers to ramp up the project.

Introduction

Haven is an untraceable cryptocurrency that proposes a mix of standard market pricing and stable fiat value storage without an unsustainable peg or asset backing. It will achieve this by using a built in on-chain smart contract that controls the minting and burning of coins to facilitate value for users that choose to send their coins to offshore storage contracts while allowing everyone else to be exposed to the natural price movements of the currency.

Haven is a fork of Monero so inherits the stealth and anonymity that it’s famous for. Haven also has the benefit of starting the blockchain from scratch with RingCT for extra privacy. Further, Haven’s offshore storage smart contract allows privacy conscious individuals that want to keep their money in an untraceable currency without being subject to market fluctuations, a means to do so.


Offshore Storage

Haven doesn’t rely on a peg to maintain a relationship with fiat currency and can be traded at any value without affecting those who want to maintain the relationship. It does this via a built in smart contract called offshore storage. Sending Haven to offshore storage (burning) records a reference on the blockchain to the current fiat value which can be restored later back into Haven by minting new coins to the tune of the current fiat value.

The key use cases for offshore contracts are:

Point of sales systems where goods can be bought with Haven and shop keepers can immediately lock the fiat value in to protect from price fluctuations. This has the added benefit of keeping the shopkeepers business and income completely hidden on the blockchain as his wallet address nor amounts are revealed.

Storing large amount of money outside of the traditional banking system. Privacy focused cryptos are perfect for this but without a reliable way to maintain value through fluctuations the process of holding could be costly. Sending Haven offshore quite literally, makes money disappear until you want it back at which point the value remains intact.


In order for cryptocurrencies to be accepted into the mainstream, there must be a way to abstract the exchange risk associated with holding the currency relative to fiat. Once Haven is supported in point of sales systems and this process becomes automated, adoption will increase rapidly.

Offshore Storage contracts will be implemented once the network reaches a mature stage with enough exchange support to allow redundancy and accuracy of prices. The current focus is on growth, stability, privacy and usability for everyday transactions with an easy to use mobile wallet app that anyone can use without prior knowledge of crypto.

What kind of shilling hell is this? Such a weird thing that people would create new tokens/coins that are on the verge of bear market, and then expect everyone to invest. I mean, I can't even say that it wouldn't be invested neither, it's possible that this could happen as well and it could end up with something that could result with a troubled future, that should definitely be a very risky business. In the end, I feel like we are not going to end up with something that should hurt us on the long run, it will not end up with that easy results.

I believe that the best thing to do right now would be making sure that we are not talking about a bigger deal, we need to arrange something that would be profitable and not some silly new shitcoin that could be shilled like this. Even a proper place would have a better shilling post, the low quality itself is providing proof that this shitcoin is not good enough to hire a proper place to do better shilling.

Where is the real utility? How many applications are running on that blockchain and are there any large institutions invested in it? How have team and management expenses been covered? If that is from the mining rewards of the coin then it will be dumped by the team itself. Also most of the blockchain provides support as you have mentioned but it is not sufficient to increase the demand for the coin. We need an application that is built on top of the smart contract generates real profit and has larger community.

Op I don't think this coin is a good one to invest in. After my first comment here, I went to website or the link you drop here and click on it and download the mobile wallet. Now what surprised me most was, after the installation the app did ask me to me to add password and other information before using the wallet as usual for other wallets I have used but this app open straight after the installation and my address was showing on the interface and o was trying to create a password and was looking for the seed phrase but no avail. And when I clicked New at the left top corner of the interface, it creates another address again and the more you click on it the more new addresses are creating. I tried to navigate the app but no important thing.

And since there no password to look the wall then it will be the worst wallet ever to be used. Look at it from the following images. The first address is the follow come while the other two were the ones that appeared after clicking the new.

The way I see from the wallet, it will not be nice to tell someone to use this wall. The worse part it doesn't asked for password and no seed phrase appears

Yeah we need to buy their coin from the exchange to run the node. The rewards for the 24 hours you are getting are attractive but this can be the reason for the massive dump as well. How does that coin showcase its utility That coin's price won't be able to hold its position for a long time if it doesn't have utilities other than trading in exchange. Utility creates demand and demand pushes the price upward so it will be very speculative to run a node with high rewards if that coin doesn't have enough demand to hold the sell pressure. Because the node runner will try to cover their expenses by selling the coin to the market.

I'm not too big on nodes/masternode coins as they are largely unknown and do get little to no interest for the current mainstream altcoin space.
If it eventually get listed on a more reputable exchange evenbif it's a low-mid tier exchange, then our consider trading it. Even if it has the coolest technology but no one is interested to trade it or liquidity is low, I'd probably stay out of it. I've been in such situations one too many times. But good luck to OP and everyone else giving this a try. I'll watch this one from the sidelines for now.

I've been emotionally attached to this project for the past 2 years.
I'm finding it hard to detach, again, emotionally, from this project and the community, mainly because I poured a lot of my intellect and soul to this project and only got shit thrown back at my face.

I don't want to start a war. I just want to inform potential investors that the Noso-project is managed by an anonymous circle of persons that completely arbitrarily change current terms and introduce new rules as they wish, and that they exclude any opposition from the community in Discord. I have done this by nicely and matter-of-factly describing what I have experienced

But I don't want a war where you obviously find it reasonable to accuse others of being "mentally ill" and to call others "scumbags". I don't want to debate on such a low level. But that says a lot about you and the climate in the Noso community.

WARNING
I think there is reason to warn against the Noso project. Unlike other crypto projects, there are no peer to peer or democracy principles in this project.

A small, completely anonymous clique of about 8-10 people manage everything both when it comes to the development of software and the way the community is managed. Important decisions are never discussed within the community in the social medias. The community is only informed when the decisions have been made and cannot be changed. People who disagree or criticize the decisions are banned from the social medias without warning and without explanation.

This anonymous clique has unilaterally made important decisions that time and again change the conditions of the participants. Let me give a few examples.
- GPU mining was banned and accounts with about 250,000 Noso (with a current market price of about 80,000 US$) were frozen, depriving the holders of their funds.
- PoW has been gradually changed to PoS through several steps. At the same time, a development fund has been introduced, which receives 10% of block rewards and transaction fees.
- The minimum fee for transaction has been increased 100,000 times.
- Although the clique repeatedly claims that they work without payment, the lead developer has just been paid 45,000 Noso (at a market price of US$15,000-20,000) from the development fund.

Investors should therefore think carefully before investing in Noso coins. All applicable rules and conditions may be changed without notice at the discretion of the anonymous clique.
