1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / ETC and ETH fork on Poloniex on: May 09, 2017, 02:29:28 PM
I realize I'm a little late to this party, but earlier last year I had purchased pre-fork ETH on Poloniex. Its been months since i had logged in, but I recently done so expecting to have ETC and post-fork ETH in my account.  Instead I only found ETC.  I looked through the transaction history of the account and don't see anything suspicious.  I've attempted to contact Poloniex support several times over the last two weeks and have had no response from them.  Watching the price of ETH double during this time I've gone ahead and exchanged my ETC for ETH.

First, is my assumption correct that I should have both ETH and ETC in my account?  2nd, is there any other way to contact Poloniex support other than their online ticket system?

Thanks,
-Rob

Branny,

you may want to check out https://www.crowdfunder.com .  It may be a lower capital-cost funding route over BTCJam, and they have a process in place for vetting QEP investors.

Odd situation...

We just submitted a offer for a property that would make a FANTASTIC rental , almost ready to go at a asking price of $25k, needs <$5k in repairs, gonna try to get it for $25k including repairs. Will rent for $650-$700/mo (31.2%-33.6%).

However right after submitting the offer (Within 30m) I got a notification that a fantastic property for a flip had been listed. Great location, decent price ($67k) with the potential for a profit of $40k or more on a 3-4mo timespan. Problem is with the cash we have in the bank + Wallet it comes out to *around* $115k or so. Take off $25k, then the $20k margin I want to keep in the bank for trouble spots, and we would barely have enough to finish the rehab/sales phase of it.

I'm not complaining - We're in a fantastic financial spot right now, when it's all said and done we'll be bringing in nearly $8k/mo gross from the rentals after all properties are accounted for. I hate to miss out on the chance of a quick $40k net profit on a flip.

Not sure what to do yet, I have a few guys that are interested in loaning us USD mortgages, but I'm in the early stages of working out the details.

Maybe structure a separate LLC that RentalStarter could be a majority owner, but the remaining balance could be made of a couple of investors that fund the remainder.  Either way, I'd be interested  if you want to look at possible funding alternatives.

I was wondering why we haven't seen a dividend yet as well.  I've also asked for an updated income statement and balance sheet as I haven't seen any numbers since Oct 2012.

All dividends owed have been paid this morning to verified shareholders.

An updated balance sheet will be presented soon.....we have to make some adjustments for depreciation on the GPU miners.

yochdog,
I did not receive any dividends from this latest payout.  I've been a shareholder since before you began trading on GLBSE, and it had sounded like I had been verified from the GLBSE list.

thanks

Great, thank you!

yochdog,

I've tried PM-ing and emailing you guys.  What is the process for getting my shares off of GLBSE and transferred over to you, I haven't received any communication regarding this, and it sounds like a list of shareholders from GLBSE is currently in the process of moving forward.

thanks.

Received my payment as well.  What's the next step?
9  Economy / Securities / Re: A BTC stock exchange for high-risk, unverified securities? on: August 26, 2012, 08:06:55 AM
On the suggestion of someone else, we would consider setting up a B market, with lower requirements, lower startup fees, and obviously more risk.

opinions?

+1 for this.  NASDAQ is a 3 tiered market.

Then there's OTC BB, and Pink Sheets for companies not meeting certain listing standards.
10  Economy / Securities / BTCMC share price down nearly 40% this week. on: August 16, 2012, 11:38:20 PM
Wow, what's been going on with BTCMC this week, and today especially?  Huge wall of sell orders with no buyers.  Price has dropped from the high 70s down to 50 over the last couple of days.

Possibly because the dividend yield isn't as high as with other mining operations?

yochdog,

Could you also provide a balance sheet statement along with your income statement each month?  My feeling is that since you don't pay out most of the income as dividends as other mining stocks do that  the current stock price isn't taking into account your cash on hand and potential for using it to grow your operations.
12  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] First Silver Futures on GLBSE [SLV-BUFFALO] on: August 03, 2012, 02:12:27 PM
I'm pulling this contract and will be working on an ETF w/ delivery option.  I'll be writing an app that will automatically update the bid/ask price of the asset in real time on GLBSE as the price of spot silver and the exchange rate of BTC/USD fluctuates.  The ETF will have a smaller contract size and hopefully create some liquidity since most assets on GLBSE seem to trade around 1BTC or less.

I am listing 1oz .999 Silver rounds (Buffalo Design) for sale.
They can either be purchased directly from me, as well as on GLBSE beginning at Noon PDT today.

Minimum order size is 5 coins and quoted price includes expedited shipping/insurance within the US. (Still working out the details of international shipments).

I'm also looking at stocking other gold/silver bullion products as well.

Will be going live with this on GLBSE at noon PDT tomorrow.

Plans are in the works for a Silver ETF w/ delivery option.  I'm currently investigating different silver products (I may or may not go with the 1oz "Buffalo" rounds for this), and will start a new thread once I have more information.

Thanks!

I will begin selling silver bullion via the GLobal Bitcoin Stock Exchange website beginning this Friday at 12:00pm PDT under the ticker "SLV-BUFFALO".  Each share entitles the buyer to 5 silver Buffalo-Design 1oz coins.

Hi @BitSense Informatics
Nice to see more BTC precious metals! I can't speak for others but personally very interested in leveraging the BTC price to buy physical Silver when the ratio is good. Maybe you could consider something like this..

Investors/Speculators buy contracts denominated in BTC, you hold the BTC in guaranteed interest earning deposits that you compound and build up. You maintain liquidity so you can withdraw the BTC whenever you need to buy physical metal. For example: I could guarantee you BTC liquidity at short notice with the SILVER, GOLD, PLATINUM or RAREEARTH assets on GLBSE. My metals assets would earn you at least 3.52% a month before compounding the weekly interest. BTC lenders will pay you 1% a week or more at the moment for BTC deposits that you could have on call also. The BTC investments your asset has could sit in escrow accounts which may add more confidence for your investors.

Assuming the BTC price goes through spikes (just assuming) the cost of ounces and kilos could start looking pretty attractive for anyone who has committed BTC while it is low. Working out the prices you quote may be tricky. Maybe contracts could be filled early if the price is met.. 1 BTC to 1 Troy Oz of Ag within 12 months  Tongue You never know! Interesting to see what you come up with. If I can help provide any part of the liquidity you may need let me know.

Interesting idea,  I could see a lot of potential derivative-type products coming out of this.
19  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] First Silver Futures on GLBSE [SLV-BUFFALO] on: July 23, 2012, 03:44:04 AM
I'll be removing the expiration date for this contract, however since I'm not able to update the contract details on GLBSE, I'll document it here.  The next time I create a bullion asset on GLBSE the contract will be an ETF w/ delivery option, but will be open ended with no expiration.
20  Economy / Securities / Re: Would you be interested in margin trading on GLBSE? on: July 22, 2012, 05:43:30 PM
This is an interesting idea, but I think for the risk that the lenders are going to be taking, they would have to charge sky high interest rates. (And maybe this is feasible). There's a reason brokers don't offer margin trading on penny stocks and junk bonds.
