This has been debated over and over again. I doubt the name will ever be changed.
And now, something completely different...
Well even if a name change has not been greenlighted it is still a very valid point and lots of us still think it is prevening mass adoption of the coin. Dark is good for video games and metal bands, not for a solid confident respectable currency. It did help adoption with the nerdy crowd at one point but it will be a liability for the coin's growth

did you reinstall from scratch? if not do it...why blame everyone else ? i have good MN steady payments so its not up to drk Payments are still not as regular as they used to be. Enforcement was recently re activated, so let's see - but you can't say everything's fine based on your experience with one MN

I recently updated my signature as shown below, do you think I could go to jail? I must also confess that I'm planning to make a commercial use of this citation by reprinting it one thousand times in a book (massive world launch next month in several countries, in English French Spanish and Kurdish initially). I hope no lawyer will sue my ass or the DRK foundation for that.

v0.11.1.25 - MANDATORY UPDATE
Due to some pools taking advantage of paying the incorrect masternodes (on purpose), enabling enforcement failed earlier today. Please update to the latest version of the software, 11.1.25, which includes a much stronger policy for enforcing masternode payments. This will also cause bans on any clients mining on the wrong chain. After the entire network updates (Pools, Exchanges, Masternodes, etc), we'll activate enforcement again.
https://www.darkcoin.io/downloads/ I am VERY COOL with Enforcement being turned on ASAP Don't wait for me - kill that theif ASAP He won't wait for you, but he will for the network to be updated to 11.1.25. 30% of the MNs are uptodate for the moment.

How are they SUCKING IN damn near every block?
That is just horrible - OMG !!!! ugh
Wondering the exact same thing.... anyone? They don't grab all blocks, but their pool is approximatively 30% of actual hashrate on the DRK network - so when they found a block from time to time, instead of randomly electing a MN, they have modified the code to systematically promote their own.

WTF IS THIS SHIT??? well, the public address of mininingpoolhub operator wallet, stealing coins by diverting to his own MN as we speak. Everyone needs to update to 11.25 now to permit Evan to activate enforcement. And I hope we could "punish" them at a later stage by banning their IP somehow.

I also posted this notice in their own subject, in the mining pool operators subforum. It won't have immediate effects, but still, it should be of some inconvenience to them.

I casn't believe how greedy are some of those fucking miners ... absolutely no precaution was taken to hide his tracks actually. Shameful.
It's the pool.. I aggree that what lack of ethic!!! So for each block found by the hatd work of their miner, they was robing 1.75DRK for each block!!! MiningPoolHub was doing this. Quit this POOL!!!True enough, I should have said the MiningPoolHub pool operator scammer, miners are actually used and victims as much as the MN owners.

This pool no longer deserves the hash. Miners that actually care about network strength should move elsewhere--understandably, this is a profit-switching pool but DRK is the most profitable X11 coin to mine at the moment with liquidity. I personally have no respect for them and certainly no desire to ever mine on MPH again. Will be informing other farms to point their hash elsewhere. I can't see any logical reasoning other than flat out greed.
EDIT: Editing for the priniciple as you are not proven guilty. However I do not buy your explanations, as they seem a little too convenient, and this is typically the kind of bullshit someone guilty would say to clear himself from the mess after profiting for one day. I recommend everyone to stay clear from you, as you are incompetent or lying.

OMG Ppl are panic buying BTC to panic buy DRK!!
It all makes sense!
Are you drunken, sorry but DRK never had a impact on BTC but BTC has impact on DRK. BTC is rising -> DRK goes down because some people cash out to fiat BTC is falling -> DRK goes down because people are panic selling and cash out to fiat Crypto is nearly dead. only reason DRK did not die until now is because its a gamechanger in crypto, but generall crypto market is too small and momantary without new players. Dont get me wrong, i like DRK because of its transparent devteam and anon feature but i lost faith in crypto after loosing a lot of money. Only DRK did protect me over the last months to loose only 50% instead of 98% Correction. Cryptos are certainly not dead. Shitcoins are. Sorry for your loss, but dont blame cryptos Cryptos are mostly dead most of them but DRK went through hell and survived I think it has a great future ahead and could only consolidate its position in the coming months

Want to report that the unpredicable varaiance has stopped for me. Momantary it looks like i receive a payment all 1100-1300 blocks.
I only have one MN, so i think others owning more MN can report the same ?
Confirmed Impressive work on the variance issue regarding payments I receive a payment every 48 hours approx on my nodes

LOL, all you drkfanboys are the same.. you're full of hate.. I come here to say I bought a few drk and you guys jump down my throat.. Maybe I'll sell my dark then.. Fuck you guys..
This community sucks!!
Your first post was a provocation and you now complain you are not well received? Double standards hypocrite

A quick note to congratulate the team. I guess from now on enforcing should get less and less troublesome

For anyone who's interested, a sneak peak at the next release of Darkcoin:
TLDR:
- Next release will go out in the next two days probably, I'm going with the community and calling it "The Onyx Release" - It features mandatory, non-exploitable Masternode payments. - Masternode payments are completely predictable now. I.e., if there's 2000 masternodes you can expect 1 payment every 4 days (divide the amount of nodes by the blocks per day to get your ROI). - Masternode payments will go to 25% one week from release (non-manditory) - Afterwards I encourage the community to find the pools still paying 20% and contact them to make sure they update their stratum before it's too late - Masternode payments beyond that will increase to 30% in November, 35% in December and continue on until we get at least 3000 masternodes. - Huge security updates to Darksend. It's much more robust and can take a beating.
It's a true proof-of-service setup now. Each new node has a 1 in N (total number of masternodes) chance of receiving a payment each block. After a payment, they must wait N blocks to receive another one (give or take 10%). There's no room for gaming the system because it's using math based off of the proof-of-work to prove the node won, plus you'd have to wait 15 confirmations each time you moved money around and that takes from your profit too.
Will enforcement be turned on for future increase in block reward? or will this be goodwill based? this is not really clear to me cuz of the 'non-mandatory' Great work otherwise Greetz With the new system reward increases and payee are enforced. Mr Duffield, I was going to send you a PM but I thought it better that everyone read this. I have allowed my petty arguments with a few individuals to spill over into attacks on Darkcoin. For that I apologize. Also, I am going to decline taking your 1000 DRK bet. I gave a friend a few btc to look through the code. If anything is found I'll send you the details. But realistically, we don't have the time or desire to spend on this. Like I said, I allowed my arguments with a few individuals to turn into an attack on your coin. I'm done being negative towards Darkcoin. Darkcoin was the first coin I mined and the first coin I got involved with after a friend introduced me to Crypto last January/February. I actually feel bad for the way I've treated it. So I'm back in! Setting up one masternode maybe more in the future. We'll see. I am going to support rather than attack Darkcoin from here on out. Cryptsy just sent me my DRK! Masternode within the hour! shojayxt Please refrain yourself from unconstructive attacks in the future and mindless fights with other individuals. But I also hope that the DRK hardliners here will show more openness to thoughtful and measured criticism, by not calling people names and trolls when they do not show systematic blissful optimism. Welcome back.

I think we should rejoice that this big hassle is behind us now. It was the root cause of the two failed forks, and it was an absolutely prerequisite to entirely squash it before going forward to leave this ordeal behind us.

This is history, after trying to fork since the last few months ... ;o)

Alleluia ;o) Good work last few weeks, thank you.

fundamentals are rock solid
not panicking even if we drop below 0.001 - they can try and dump as much as they want....we are the only legit altcoin.
I am in for darkcoin, but stop typing this kind of non-sense. 2 months ago, we read almost same stuff: "not panicking even if we drop below 0.01 - they can try and dump as much as they want....we are the only legit altcoin."
