New scam site is up, basebet https://www.basebet.io/ How long before BT users are shilling?
https://uspto.report/company/Sorsis-Chatwin#google_vignette
I don't see the community getting behind these guys again. They were given a second chance on this site and tossed it in the garbage basically spitting in every users face who thought they might be worth giving a chance to. How can anyone actually believe that the new site will be different?

Weren't you promoting them at some point? Zero fallout for the people doing that I noticed, even after defending complaints. We both know if the money's right, at least one person will try.
I did promote them a few years back and at the time they were running like everything was going fine. Noone can tell when a company will or won't scam though. Anyone who is managing a company that turns scam is immediately expected to stop promotion of the company, not like managers tell companies to scam everyone long as they pay us.

I had long left promoting the company before they started doing their shady shit to users.

I went through the betnomi thread where there was multiple legit complaints, which you defended against whilst promoting. Icopress did the same up until they realised it just looked bad. The point is no one really gives a fuck until the money stops. I guarantee basebet will not only be promoted here but successfully.
This will be my last reply on this issue as arguing with you is pretty pointless, but while I was managing their campaign there were scam accusations but how many were true? 90% of the accusations made against companies here are just pissed off users such as you trying to pressure a company into paying. Basically extortion attempts.

Like I said, I stopped promoting them well before any serious allegations came and someone else took over, what happened while they were promoting has nothing to do with me. Your issue isn't with me, so let's keep it that way.

I got my money? I see your appraising of facts is as good as your probability calculations.

3  Economy / Gambling / Re: TRUSTDICE: up to $25 FREE BONUS [NO DEPOSIT REQUIRED] Forum EXCLUSIVE! on: June 14, 2024, 10:10:45 AM

This is my first time to encounter this in a gambling platform where you need to wager 5x from the deposit amount before you can withdraw.
At first, I tried trustdice betting on NBA games but I want to withdraw it and I can't now. I know this is on the terms before signing up but I didn't see it.

Is there any way to make my wager 5x faster without risking too much? Right now I am playing dice with a small amount of bet via auto.

LOL. 5 times with their tiny limits is absolutely wild. Would take months.
4  Economy / Gambling / Re: How high is the probability of accusations vs. casinos in BitcoinTalk are true? on: June 14, 2024, 09:55:23 AM
Yes I noticed this also, it’s been happening for years and it’s almost always a new account and that’s why it’s hard to take them seriously.
It's always a new account because they register on Bitcointalk when they have a problem with casino. In fact, they aren't the members of this forum, they only register to solve their problem with the help of DT members.
And they fall down to the forum probably because of their desperation. But not all of these newbies have a legit concern.

They are writing a long story on how they have been scammed or they've been not allowed to withdraw. While I've seen successful disputes but it's that most of them were losers that can't accept it.

They're coming to that point because they think that it's going to give them a refund with their losses.

Newbie or Jr Member accounts are always to be taken with a pinch of salt we can reckon. You can see out there users who are newbie but obviously have a good degree of understanding of the forum and make comments that are relevant and reveal knowledge. These are usually secondary accounts, but other are simply open for accusation as you say and will not carry much credibility.

I made two complaints as a new account, both resolved in my favour. Making 2000 posts vs 10 means the former has way too much time on their hands, not credibility.

High. Which is why it's naive for strangers to make excuses for gambling companies.

10  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit Scam. Cannot Withdraw $30,211. Being Ignored by Support. on: September 25, 2023, 11:03:37 AM
thank you guys for the support

i can 100% confirm i did not abuse or cheat rollbit in any way. all i did was sports bet. my account is fully KYC and i submitted all my docs before depositing. big scam here is that they accuse me of multi accounting after i deposit multiple times, place many bets, manage to win and finally when i want to withdraw. now they refuse to answer me and keep my money illegally for months while i have to helplessly beg them to allow me to access my own money.

i am now reaching out to everyone i know in all my groups and all my friends to see if they have any issues like this

Hey. You're not going to get any useful help here. https://sbgok.org/about/ handle class action claims; they recently took Curacao based 1xbet to court in the Netherlands and won. Don't think they handle individual cases, but it's worth asking for a 5 figure balance.
11  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hypedrop.com supposedly withholding 3.9 million $ withdraw on: September 19, 2023, 01:26:11 PM
To this date the withdraw is blocked due to KYC problems.
bbox says he commited all KYC details, the casino demands informations regarding the origin of the deposited money (~100k)
KYC hell can always be used as excuse for holding coins won my players, especially if the amount of money is bigger.
I dont think this is special just for crypto world because I heard cases of people having similar problems with using fiat currencies.
I understand some type of protection is needed for everyone, but there must be better way than current KYC system.
First time I hear about Hypedrop but I never liked this type of websites.

There is regulation for nearly all onshores. There's next to none for crypto sites. Apples and oranges.
12  Economy / Gambling / Re: Whats happening with Betnomi? on: September 19, 2023, 12:01:44 PM
Not that it changes anything but... I think some people around here aren`t being 100% honest - guys, with all the shit that Betnomi (aka Sorsis) have/has been pulling, how can you state it was totally "normal" to keep supporting them? Sorry, the red flags have been right there, for a long time. I am not saying that any bitcointalk user is responsible for Betnomi`s shit but let`s just not pretend... Fact is, as long as there was money to be squeezed, people were definitely ready to look past the issues. And this is a general phenomenon on bitcointalk, actually.

----

I mean, I did put a flag up because some stuff I had seen and experienced regarding payments; but since the amount (not the %) was small, people did sort of ignore it. Besides that, the stuff that happened with gosu/efialtis is public; and we did list them in the blacklist for some of those reasons aswell. And some people may also remember that one time a passport was posted here in the forum to mock a user trying to pass KYC under the premise that "it was not his real passport"...

I will go agree that not everything about the site was bad; but all in all, and after some experience I've gained on the industry ever since, I'd be confident to say that most of that was something that should be considered standard, and not something out of the ordinary.

And well, of course everything looks different in hindsight; but would have there really been a point in coming to the forum every day to talk about what people had been ignoring? would it have changed a thing? guess we'll never know

Thank you - let`s also not forget:

- the generally unprofessional attitude
- the constant "change of plans" with regard to betnomi
- the ICO
- the bragging about carding skills, aka literally scamming people (crime)
- and the list could go on and on

There is a reason why we stopped promoting them a long time ago, including blacklisting. I was more than "understanding" and actually gave them the benefit of the doubt, more than once, but they kept proving how right I was... I had them negatively tagged as well and if I remember correctly, some people on here actually put me on "distrust" because I spoke out against them. Last but not least, in recent months, I actually posted more than once in their thread that I do not see a single reason why anyone in his right mind would keep depositing funds on that site and that people should refrain from doing so.

Tbh, I do not think there is anything else we could have done in order to protect the people of this forum as well as visitors of our website.

That response of mine does not even include all of the withdrawal issues/delays users have had ever since - and it doesn`t include personal (horrible) experience with Sorsis either.

Edit: It should also be explicitly mentioned that I don't want to present myself as an angel or something... Why have I not participated in any Betnomi related games/tournaments/contests/challenges for a very long time, even if I was invited by other users? The answer is above...

Think if this place got rid of promotions, and those signatures that everyone has, this wouldn't happen. I doubt this forum would be able to function without it now though. Which suggests a real problem.
13  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit Scam. Cannot Withdraw $30,211. Being Ignored by Support. on: September 19, 2023, 11:53:57 AM
Hello,

While I'm in no way associated with Rollbit (I work for a different casino, so basically a competitor), I'd like to give my 2 cents since this case seems very familiar to a lot of ones we're dealing/dealt with aswell.

Casinos nowadays have very strong multi-account detection systems, won't get into what they actually are for obvious reasons, but lets say when a casino is certain that you're using multiple accounts, they're pretty damn accurate Smiley.

While I feel that OP's situation could've brought a satisfying resolution on his end, if he came clean and listed his accounts, it's also probably the case where in general players use multiple accounts to abuse the system, like double-spending, arbitrage betting ( gets limited on one account, jumps on another), bonus abuse, etc etc.

Now onto the Curacao regulator, while the general feedback of players like OP is to say "these Curacao regulators do nothing", the fact is that a case brought upon the license provider always gets dealt with, and a casino is free to offer all evidence against the player, thus why most players don't actually go forward with this.

There aren't too many cases in Curacao that had to be handled/solved in favour of the player by the licensor for the simple fact that 99% of the times when an user is not engaging in any dubious activities, casinos solve these situations with favorable outcomes for the players themselves and there's no need to push things further.

There's not much in this that isn't a lie. Arbitrage betting is betting both sides of the same event to make a risk free profit, not opening another account because of limiting. That's called gnoming. And this isn't the first time I've seen that same mistake here. If the sites don't even know the correct terminology, it's no wonder they're run like shit shows.

As for those 'facts' about the licensor, you have to show evidence for it to be a fact, ie. figures from a neutral party. Otherwise it's just speculation. Anyone could do that. I could say 99% of all cases are unfavourable. But I'm not an idiot, so I wouldn't do that. I highly doubt your numbers though.
14  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit Scam. Cannot Withdraw $30,211. Being Ignored by Support. on: September 18, 2023, 06:22:39 PM
There is zero regulation in Curacao. A Dutch lawyer won't take a case there, I've asked. It's like being licensed in Bir Tawil. Why do you talk nonsense?

There is a regulation in Curacao. If your lawyer won't take case there, may I suggest that it's probably because you don't have a strong case that he's willing to take or sure to win? And I noticed you said a Dutch lawyer? Not any? Means you haven't exhaust all of your options of lawyers who will take your case?

Hey,

Just my 2 cents; the regulation in Curacao = security in a Cartel Hood = possibility of getting 30 when you roll two dices = possibility of hitting number 69 in Roulette.

Nothing to defend on the Casino's side, casinos doesn't even care about all the complaints now; nothing gets approved on CG or AG, they always want the player to go to the licensing authorities. Those authorities are owned by the gambling companies. No real or at least 90 IQ'd lawyer will take a case in Curacao because he/she knows no laws abide for Casino's, they only abide for players' mistakes. I see signature campaigns of offshore illegal casinos having a really bad impact on BitcoinTalk; this wasn't the case years back when I was browsing here. You already know that OP is not winning a case in Curacao over Rollbit or Stake right? I have given you the odds of it = ZERO.

With respect,

Tetaeridanus

Some sanity. Actual regulation is tabled for early 2024. If and when passes, it's gonna be a bloodbath. Think Rollbit have more immediate problems, there's no way the US government isn't looking at them.

Maybe I should have used more affectation in my correspondence to them. I did also contact a lawyer in Botswana but they said Curacao is not part of their country.

Botswana? That country sandwiched between other countries in Africa? You asked a lawyer in Botswana if Curacao, an island in Carribean, is part of their country?

Do you bet, out of curiosity?

Used to, many years ago, and for fun as well as within minuscule amount, so it'll be better to say I am not. Why?

Jesus, you're humourless as well as dull. Horrific combo.

I'm just not a bootlicker for gambling sites. Didn't you also 'promote' for Betnomi at one point?
I did and decided to move on as I had some disagreements with the owner and their timetable for paying staff. Same goes for me though, I had an agreement with Betnomi at the time that all promotion would cease if a legitimate scam popped up against them. While I was working with the site, no scam accusation was ignored to my knowledge.

I don't want you to be a bootlicker or whatever. I would rather a user post their opinion, positive or negative, so i'm not necessarily getting on your case but I feel your blame is misguided partially.

I'm not aware of the details of all the deals people working with Betnomi had, but I know they weren't out to try and help users get scammed. An argument could have been made that they maybe should have stopped a few weeks sooner I suppose, but I think it's fair to say that they were not 100% an exit scam was about to happen. They had faith that the owner would make it right as that was his pattern for a couple years. Late or delayed, but always came through.

You are entitled to your opinion though.

That's a charitable read. The ones that got paid to promote? They were on the betnomi thread, making all kinds of excuses when there was complaints. That makes them culpable.

Those same people, by the way, will now go on to shill for someone else, with that same poor judgment.

18  Economy / Gambling / Re: Whats happening with Betnomi? on: September 18, 2023, 06:28:37 AM
No one was paid to defend them
icopress was. Zero responsibility taken of course. Grifting in the crypto world must be the easiest job in the world.

Well, Ico was paid to promote them, not to defend them, it's a big difference... and through some promotions & bonuses, signature campaigns & sponsored events, we all promoted Betnomi, but all that was a positive experience we had while we participated in all of that attractive stuff on the site. Who could have guessed that they would disappear just like that?

It wasn't up to me or anyone from here that things went the wrong way... some of us lost more or less with this as well. From each of us, you could see many warnings about responsible gambling, and even we get into problems from time to time. Nobody is "bulletproof" here.

You just need to check the betnomi thread to see it wasn't exactly promoting rather than defending. And they can answer for themselves if they weren't ducking this thread. Like I said, funny how everyone is absolved of responsibility when it all goes wrong.
You're just a bundle of negativity in everything you comment in aren't you. When someone is promoting a site, they cannot and will not be held responsible if the site scams as long as when a big scam is proven they stop promoting. It's impossible to know if/when a site can or will scam.

Now by big scam I mean more than a few accusations in the scam section because we all know that 90% of the accusations in there are total bs. Big scam like what's going on now, the exit scam.

Being a regular user on betnomi for a bit, I really don't see how very many lost a bunch period. I barely ever seen anyone playing there unless it was a poker tourney sponsored or they did dumbass VIP transfers. Other then that, the site was pretty dead. Doesn't make it ok for them to exit on everyone who had a balance, but I'd bet the legitimate scam total was barely 20k IMO.

I'm just not a bootlicker for gambling sites. Didn't you also 'promote' for Betnomi at one point?
19  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dexsport.io ⚡ the first decentralized crypto sports betting platform on: September 18, 2023, 06:20:13 AM
Website works great but unfortunately this is not a trustworthy website. Voided all of my sports bets for "honest betting methods" (absolutely untrue) and now I am unable to withdraw. Avoid.

Dear user, we kindly regret that you faced issues using Dexsport. The protocol was established with one aim - to make betting more transparent for people and increase entertainment options for web3 audience. Hence the protocol is decentralized thanks to blockchain technology, it is also have T&C which you accepted by signing the unique signature when connecting your wallet. Unfortunately, our fraud prevention system detected violation of there T&C from your side that's why your bets were automatically refunded, i.e. you received your funds back in a whole amount.

As an aside, it's obvious this is a Russian shell company. Engrish text like above, ev or ov suffixes on the employees, tax haven location. Handy during a war with Russia under financial sanctions.

Also interesting, first two reviews on Trustpilot, negative. When they realised, two positives to balance it out. From Russia.
20  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit Scam. Cannot Withdraw $30,211. Being Ignored by Support. on: September 17, 2023, 08:10:45 PM
why do i need to do all of this?

why cant at the very least rollbit return my deposits and we can go and dispute the winnings? this is literally a scam holding my winnings and especially deposit.

i have read they are not even licensed, is this true?

To be honest and laid it out in the open, that's what I tried to pursue when I said "considering another means of resolution," to allow you to retain your deposit with some terms. However, they are firm on their decision and they're very sure with their findings. Best options you have right now is either escalate it to their licensor or to just drop the case, as currently there is not any other visible resolution possible.

As for licensing, you can rest assured that they're licensed. Like acroman08 said, you can check this by clicking the seal of validation on their website. It's a mandatory element of a licensed casino under Curacao Licensing to provide this means of verification on their website. Image as below. If you click them, you'll be redirected to GC's page as shown on the image next to it, verifying Rollbit as their sub-licensor.

While for holding your winnings and deposit, though there are times in the past that platforms go lenient by allowing the other side to withdraw their balance and agreed to part ways, I think Rollbit has the right to seize your winnings and deposit upon breach, it's one of the clause on their Terms of Service that you agreed,

TERMINATION
We may terminate or suspend Your Account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if You breach these Terms and Conditions.

If you're not satisfied with this, please follow my advise to raise it to their licensor, Gaming-Curacao. We are not sure what'll happen there, but you'll have another shot there rather than here as your means of resolution on this case kinda met its... dead end here.

But when you click on https://www.gaming-curacao.com/ the site looks SUPER unprofessional. Like a 12 year old designed this.

The site also contains 0 information, not even TOS or anything.

Looks aesthetic or not, that platform is one of the only four master license holder for gambling ever issued by Curacao Gambling Authority. And though Antillephone is basically the most... exquisite --or so I heard-- there will be no more master license issued again, so they're as legal as it can get.

There is zero regulation in Curacao. A Dutch lawyer won't take a case there, I've asked. It's like being licensed in Bir Tawil. Why do you talk nonsense?
