1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MONA] Monacoin LAUNCHING 2014/01/01 0:00 GMT on: June 22, 2017, 02:39:10 PM
Thanks for confirming that the https://monatr.jp/ website allows you to log-in using Yahoo Open ID the first time allowing funds to be deposited, but refuses logging-in in all the subsequent attempts to log-in. This means that users cannot get access to their funds.

I notice on their Twitter account that difficulties in logging-in with Google have been reported in January 2017:
https://twitter.com/monatr_jp
It is now May 2017, long enough for logging-in problems to be sorted out. This makes me very suspicious.

The https://monatr.jp/ website is owned by Hyuga Masahiko of Janom LLC, which is located in Tokyo, Japan and this is their website and twitter account:
https://janom.co.jp/
https://twitter.com/janom_llc?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fjanom.co.jp%2F

I will wait a short while for the owners of the https://monatr.jp/ website to respond.

I've been able to login fine and trade with Yahoo Open ID with no issue for the past several months (or well, years). This issue appears to only be restricted to Google-connected accounts. If I recall correctly, Google integration was introduced very late so I assume there are considerably fewer users using Google authentication, but I guess I could be wrong (I'd be using it instead of Yahoo authentication if it had existed when I signed up). Hyuga (I think) has posted to the Monatr Twitter acknowledging the situation - noting that with the sudden influx of activity and lack of manpower (if I recall correctly he only has one other person working with him?) to support Monatr and other projects they haven't been able to resolve the issue yet. There has been no report of mishandling or loss of user funds at this point in time (in his most recent tweet on Monatr, he states that they are intact).

FYI most trading is being done at Zaif.

...

I can assure you, 'Mr Newbie', that the Yahoo ID doesn't work, at least for people in the West, after the initial sign-in (and deposit in my case). This has been confirmed by another here in a previous post. I doubt very much the veracity of your statement. You seem to know a lot about Hyuga Masahiko. I can tell you this: neither he , nor any other person from Monatr has responded to an email I sent well over a month ago.

I will wait till the end of this month. If I don't receive a reply to my email by then, I will inform the Japanese authorities, the media, and other agencies about possible fraud involving monatr and cryptocurrencies.

Hi. I'm wondering whether anyone is having trouble logging into the mona-tore crypto exchange?

https://monatr.jp/

I logged in successfully the first time using my Yahoo Open ID and sent some funds there to buy Mona. Since then I've not been able to log in at all using the same method.

One part of the screen says:
Logged in successfully.
Duplicate entry 'https://me.yahoo.com/a/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx' for key 'xxxxxxx'
(the xxx's blank out assigned characters that might be specific to me)

The top part of the screen says:
User ID(x)Not logged in                   [ Login or Register ]

So one part of the page says that I'm logged in, the other part says I'm not. Has anyone encountered this problem before?  And has anyone any ideas of how I can successfully log in to access my funds?

Unfortunately, it was reproduced on my PC.
Yahoo Japan ID (yellow) only succeeds in signing in.
It seems that the site does not support new single sign-on for google and yahoo.

Thanks for your reply. If the https://monatr.jp/ website doesn't support "the single sign-on for Yahoo" why does it have a button for it on the sign-in webpage?

However, it did work the first time when I sent my Litecoin funds in.

I have emailed the contact address for the website several times. I shall wait a further short while for an answer before concluding that https://monatr.jp/ is operating a scam allowing you to send funds in, but then denying subsequent access to those funds.

If I receive no answer, I will then inform the authorities in Japan of possible fraudulent activity.

After confirming your writing,
I got a new Yahoo ID and verified it.

Only when logging in for the first time,
the user ID is displayed and coins can be sent.
As you know,
I fail logging in after the second time.

Sorry.
I am not the owner of this site.
So I can not help you.
Please wait e-mail reply from site owner.

who is still owning NXT ?

this coin is falling like a stone, its quite impressive...

Another creep!

Oh hi, GrossBit. What's it to you what NXT is doing? From your previous posts you admit that you are a: "trader with 20 years experience in a investment bank" and that you "used to managed billions". You didn't do very well did you to be pissing about with cryptos?

You go on record as saying that you are "bullish on ETC" a competitor of NXT/Ardor. Are you threatened by NXT/Ardor? Or, are you merely trying to talk the price down to grab a piece of the action?

Hi guys, I'm having trouble logging into my online NXT wallet at mynxt.info (https://wallet.mynxt.info/)

I just tried to log on to my online NXT wallet, but this doesn't work anymore from any browser I try.
What happens is the following:
- I enter my email and password
- I enter my 2FA code

Then nothing happens and I'm back to the log in page again.

When I re-enter my credentials the same thing happens and I stay on the same page.

I already emailed support about this, but is anybody else also experiencing this ?
Thanks for your help

Well, up to now, no one seems to be having your trouble. My mynxt.info online wallet is working fine and giving me a running commentary on all the Ardor I'm acculmulating. Anyone else having trouble?

I note your recent negative posts on the Lisk and Startcoin threads amongst others. You wouldn't be FUDing by any chance would you?

I believe I have a stuck Sync. Can anyone help?  I am running a mac and the tekcoin wallet version is: v2.1.1.0-gf96a5a-noise23

Try quit and run again.
peace

Ive done the "get out of the car, run around it 2 or 3 times, restart the car" routine.
I was hoping for some help from someone with some real experience. Not the peanut gallery.

Ah, but have you tried:

1) running around the car 4 times? If that doesn't work, keep on adding to the number of times of running around the car and repeating the routine. I guarantee that after 70, or so, years of doing that you won't have a problem; and 2) buy a PC.

If you want real help, try to manage your attitude problem. Based on the sparse information that you gave, plus the fact that your profile at this time states that you are a Newbie, the advice that Grigbo volunteered is a good, basic, solid piece of advice to give in the first instance.

I was appalled at you insulting a Good Samaritan who bothered to stop by to help you. That was ignorant and uncalled for. Another thing: if you put peanuts in, don't expect much out.

Well that is just great.  Because I am a "newbie" and I have to put up with the "advice" from Grigio, and now lectures on etiquette from someone who is even less helpful, and less knowledgeable, maybe I am just now worthy of intelligent help, and I should just live with things the way they are. Or maybe, the old adage, "if you don't have anything intelligent to ad, keep your dumb mouth shut" applies here.  If the best you have is "buy a PC" maybe you should go to work for Geek Squad. That is about what I would expect from the likes of them.

Your comments are also ignorant and uncalled for, so apparently, I am in good company. Since you seem compelled to be the self proclaimed moderator, perhaps you would be so kind as to paraphrase what I should have said. We are listening! You were appalled? So sorry! I should be purged! Well maybe I am appalled by your being appalled because you read too much into what I said. How dare you be so insulting? Maybe YOU should be purged!

Biotech, I would like to offer sincere thanks for your advice. Maybe low tech, but certainly worth a try. Some times simple is good.

I would be certainly grateful for any other advice "beyond buy a PC".  I am considering deleting the block chain and reloading, I have just been hesitant to do so, as I have a sizable number of coin in my wallet ready to stake, and didn't want to risk messing that up.

Without wishing to give you a lecture in English comprehension, I was giving you a taste of your own medicine ... but you seem to be too stupid to realise it. Not nice is it?

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: November 24, 2015, 01:05:47 PM
I agree with Peter Frank. Max and Karl owe nobody a living. I wouldn't expect them to jump to every demand from this thread that they make everyone's stash continually increase in value. They have their own plans and timescale for Startcoin. You either do your homework based on that, or you invest blindly. You make a decision to invest, or you don't. Simple.

The price is driven partly by speculation and manipulation. Here in this thread, there are four main types of contributors:

1) The Haters - from rival altcoins and people who simply hate Max for whatever reason e.g. the banksters;
2) The Long term investors - those who can see a bright future for Startcoin;
3) The Short term investors - those who buy and sell for the quick kill; and
4) A combination of Long and Short term investors - those who have a main long term stash and dabble with buying and selling in between.

The whole altcoin world is in turmoil at the moment. As others have noted, it's no place for crypto-crybabies.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: October 29, 2015, 07:55:57 PM
At least there is a new dev team working on StartJOIN now, and according to Karl Gray there should be an update about this on Saturday.

So things are starting to move in the right direction again. The coin price seems like an extreme bargain at the moment.

Progress on Karl Gray's funding initiatives to push Startcoin into the Stratosphere is certainly good news. I would agree with you about the bargain price, although I'm focusing on what the price could be next year.

Bitcoin will soon be unprofitable for most people to mine. Only large corporations will be able to afford the vast computing power necessary. Bitcoin's Blockchain has already exceeded 4Tb and predicted to mushroom to 25Tb in a short space of time. Question: When Bitcoin becomes 'centralised', as it inevitably will, who is going to step in to fill its shoes?

My bet is that Startcoin will, backed by Simon Dixon and BnkToTheFuture's vast computing power - have you seen the massive mining farm he has? - AND Karl Gray's millions - Oh and Max Keiser's marketing ability. Quite a powerful combination don't you think?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: October 28, 2015, 05:08:48 PM
Despite Bitcoin breaking through the $300+ barrier, STARTcoin is holding its value. It's one of the few coins currently out-performing Bitcoin with a 2.73% rise. From a few moments ago:

33    Startcoin Startcoin    3,601 BTC    0.00010655 BTC    33,798,918 START **    14 BTC    2.73 %

I think that we are entering a period where other altcoins, not having the same infrastructure as STARTcoin, will fall by the wayside.

I expect some up and down turbulence while the Bitcoin price settles down. Some expert opinion suggests that the Bitcoin price will artificially rise further as the herd 'buy so as not to miss out' - and then it will fall back:

...

Hey peeps instead of keep knocking karl and max all the time you might wanna take look at the group of people that's running down the price of startcoin by any means necessary cuz it anit max and karl il tell you that much

Well said! I think you've made the knockers squirm. The trolls are easy to recognise. They quickly smother up good news with a flurry of garbage and negativity. They'll try to smother up your post as well as it gets right to core of what has been happening here. I think the worst of them are from a rival coin who are intimidated by the infrastructure and potential that Startcoin has. I like to quote a post that appeared in the Litecoin thread as long ago as 2011 in relation to trolls:

@Coblee

Ignore the idiots, they will ask questions they know the answer to just to hijack thread and bloat it with BS.

For those who want to keep updated with Startcoin progress, this is good advice:

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: October 19, 2015, 07:46:17 PM
Does the Github account really need more coding adding to it?
My wallet works well and is a lot faster than other wallets to sync. I do expect more coding will be added shortly when the new specialist coders add even more functionality to Startcoin. I should imagine that progress will be announced soon in some groundbreaking areas - just as Max Keiser and Karl Gray have promised. These things take time and the new coders have only just been brought on board.

Regarding the price: the price goes up and down Surprise! Surprise! Startcoin is traded on exchanges where speculation is rife. Lots of coins have been affected by the recent rise in Bitcoin. A few days ago it hit the $270s. It is only natural that people sell the coins they hold to get onto the Bitcoin bandwagon. However, the Bitcoin rise has faltered and at the time of writing it is now at $263.03. If it stagnates at that price, or even starts to fall, I think we can expect a massive Startcoin buy-back - especially at the price it currently is. While I have been writing this the Startcoin price has risen from the 0.00009,000s BTC to the 0.00011,000s BTC - a rise of 7.21%.

Coinmarketcap:
32    Startcoin Startcoin    3,879 BTC    0.00011585 BTC    33,485,818 START **    23 BTC    7.21%

Together with improvements in groundbreaking areas, on top of the tremendous infrastructure it already has, I expect the Startcoin price to at least double in the not too distant future - if not imminently. Just my humble opinion!  Wink

Ducky, John.....I have a question..

Where is Karl's $20 Million Dollar Startcoin Fund?

How long has it been since he mentioned it?

If its not up and running, why dont we have updates?

Bnktothefuture is getting all the exposure and MAX, Simon and Karl and raising all the money...

Told you guys before I believe in the coin but I want some answers just like the other members do too.

I just want these guys to pull through for startcoin and not just be promises that never happen.

While you are waiting for Ducky and John to get back to you, you should do your own homework. The answers to your questions are easy enough to find. Milestones have been reached and Startcoin progress is ongoing. I understand new developers have been brought onboard for specific projects and to further accelerate Startcoin's growth in the marketplace. You are not a newbie, so you should have known the answers to your questions already.

Don't be expecting Ducky and John to give you cast iron guarantees. As much as I respect the opinions of other reliable contributors, with investing the bottom line is do your own research. I have.

So, nothing happening here?

Wheres Max, Karl and Simon?

I think we need some good news...

Go startjoin.com and see what't going on under the water

I'm not keen on short-term pumps. They are normally followed by a dump. Here are some of the many reasons to be cheerful in the medium-to-long-term:

1)  Sir Richard Branson endorses BnkToTheFuture (Startcoin's partner) https://bnkToThefuture.com

2)  The Startchat app (mobile wallet and chat facility):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?list=PLrou7z4TGqLMEkQmIuDGD3sETSvJh7f_i&v=nl9GojVCA20
and  https://www.youtube.com/watch?list=PLrou7z4TGqLMEkQmIuDGD3sETSvJh7f_i&v=A2ZY2z7TTqc

3)  Karl Gray (2nd October 2015) https://twitter.com/start_coin

I'm sure others can list many more, but I just felt like quickly mentioning a few.

k wow, someone just please straight up tell me if this startcoin downward manipulation?  i assume it is and we'll see a big rebound before 2016 hits???
i really hope so because if this thing goes to shit who's to say pretty much ANY other alt can (and prob will) go to shit, haha.
ugh.

It's manipulation.  A lot of up and down on the price, but relatively high volume.  margin trading and fudders flinging shit as the whales gather more coin while waiting for updates, delayed by management changes.  I'm increasing my shares every time it drops.  best time to buy is when there's blood in the streets.

It's the same pattern all the time. Prices go up and down. On the downturns the manipulative sock puppets pop up and try to drive the price down further. Then guess what happens?

The price shoots up. The sock puppets disappear. Job done!

So what you are saying is... They took the opportunity to unload. I mean good for them. They bought a house with it. GOOD FOR THEM! But seriously, my heart does not reach out to them because they were able to buy a freaking house. Exactly what is your sob story man? Good for them though because they took the opportunity of higher price to dump their coins. You're a tad bit jealous buddy.

No, that's not what I was saying. I was being factual based on the history of this coin. Please don't reinterpret my words to suit yourself. I don't have a problem with people making money. I dislike people who spread factually incorrect rumours/FUD for their own purposes. Like you for instance in trying to put words into my mouth.

It's good that mining is being focused upon. The START mining pools in question have good trustworthy records. However, this is something that most coins have to be aware of. For instance, DASH is hopelessy over-mined by one group of miners, well over the so-called '51%' threshold.

Maybe those whose only purpose seems to be to talk the START price down (I wonder why?!!!) should go and post on the DASH pages to alert their investors to the very real danger they face.

FUD by newbies means 'buy' to me.
For me, you can slap a couple of inverted commas around the word 'newbies' too.  Wink

LOL, you guys are making WAY more of Bobsurplus than he is. The price is low, Bob bought. He promotes his buys on Twitter just like many other Twitter traders. He's certainly not trying to drive the price down by promoting the coin and broadcasting his position. And guess what... buying a coin low and selling as the price rises is what all traders do.

*passes around the Reynolds Wrap*

Time for you to make some hats.
Sounds like good, reasonable , gereral advice. Rather than just looking for investment pointers in this thread, ordinary punters should do their own research using other sources. A lot of 'opinion' (market manipulation) here should be taken with a pinch of salt.    Cool
