4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Uranium-X (URX) Super Rare Crypto!! Cpu Mining!!! on: December 09, 2021, 10:23:49 PM
Every coin has it's place.   Someone mining in a 3rd world country can mine URX and get ahead, hell even a kid could run a miner and possible get lucky with a bull run.  I've used many blockchains and Uranium works solid from what I see.  One thing that could speed it up is adding an electrum with segwit but it's fine either way
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / New GlobalBoost $BSTY mining pool using NOMP on: June 12, 2019, 09:50:26 PM

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Latest update for mining pools everyone can use on: May 24, 2019, 04:46:45 PM
Hi guys,
As you know we have updated the wallet. Bruce sent out an email to the individual miners that we know and I have reached out to all the pools. It can be a bit tricky getting the new wallet to work on the pools so our longest running pool operator has provided his code. Please use these modifications to get your P2Pool working.

Cheers,

I would use one of the miners from our Website http://globalboost-y.com  they've been updated since the original post.
Our wallet is getting another update as well to fix the node glitches, give it a month or so

I opened a ticket to YOBIT.NET for questions about the maintenance of the BSTY wallet, and this is the reply I got:

Quote
Good day.
Deposit\\Withdrawal coin will be available after you upgrade the source code of the wallet. Unfortunately the developers are in no hurry to send you updates
- therefore, in order to avoid the loss of users, the network is not available.
If you have updated the source code of the coin, send us (https://yobit.net/en/maintenance_request/ Free)and we will promptly correct the problem on the coin.
Thank you for contacted the support.

It looks like the developers need to update the wallet code on the exchange.

I'm working on it,  we are also listed on BitexLive and NLexch  less volume Bitex added recently, Nlexch is actually connected with the epool we're in

Can anyone explain me how to compile the wallet on linux ?

Get dependencies (https://github.com/GlobalBoost/GlobalBoost-Y/blob/master/doc/build-unix.md)

git clone https://github.com/GlobalBoost/GlobalBoost-Y global
cd global/src
make -f makefile.unix

Wait for about 10 minutes, depending on the speed of the computer.
strip globalboostyd
cp globalboostyd ~/bin/globalboostyd
cd
bin/globalboostyd

This is where it will spit some stuff and and error. No issues.

nano .globalboostyd/globalboost.conf

Copy/paste this in, save file

rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
daemon=1
server=1
dnsseed=1
irc=0
rpcthreads=100

bin/globalboostyd

That should treat you right!

Hmmm... How about Qt GUI wallet?  Roll Eyes

Hey give this wallet a try, it's one of our originals but has worked well for many folks.  We have a new wallet in the works now just working on the kinks.
It's a different design as well.  Please let me know if it works

Hello everyone,

just a quick but major question: is this coin dead??

Reason is: I discovered it just yesterday, downloaded the wallet and wanted to start mining.

1. The wallet is more than 2 years old!?
2. The wallet doesn't find any connections to the network (all my other wallets, also the qt ones, do).
3. Solo mining from the wallet didn't work at all (wouldn't even start the minerd)
4. Pool mining started on the p2p pool, but it seems like this one doesn't find any blocks...

What's going on here?

P.S.: Is this CPU only (which I would prefer) or are there GPU miners available?

Well, I guess in that case no answer is in fact an answer. Good bye and good luck!

You are complicating it to the point where i can't help.

Anyways. If you are a noob and you are proud of it. Try multipoolminer and mining pool hub. And google it before you turn to sissy-mode!

https://www.google.com/search?q=youtube+multipoolminer

Choose yescrypt algo for the multipoolminer config file.

And.... Go buy some BSTY's for long term. Cheapest way to get them.

LOL, are you kidding? First of all you haven't addressed a single one of my points. Second, I currently mine more than a dozen coins (mostly CPU, but also AMD/nVIDIA), running a wallet for all of them (several QT wallets being amongst those) and never had any problems connecting to the network, connecting to a pool etc.
So no, I'm not a noob. Anyway, I don't think I will waste my time anymore with this, although it sounded great at first...

Hey we are working on getting a new wallet out soon.   What I did was download one of the original wallets that's worked pretty well for many folks.  Please let me know if this wallet works,

PS It's a different design as well

HOW-TO RUN YESCRYPT MINER ON MACHINES WITH AMD PROCESSORS:

This tutorial includes the use of Virtualbox if you are running Windows, if you are unfamiliar with running Virtualbox or any other virtual environment you choose ,it will not be covered here, please do that first.

If running Linux environment you can follow the terminal commands in the post. ( all terminal commands are in green )

1) Run a Linux based environment either directly or virtually on Windows (Virtual users on Windows make sure to allocate the number of cores of your processor that you wish to use in the Settings)

2) Find your processor info, this is needed to specify the build parameters when configuring the yescrypt miner.

Open a terminal and enter:

grep -m1 -A3 "vendor_id" /proc/cpuinfo

example output:
vendor_id: AuthenticAMD
cpu family: 15
model: 35, 43, 75 or 107
stepping: 1 or 2
model name: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor

The information that you need most is cpu family and model to correctly build the miner. We will use this information in step #5

3) You will need some prerequisites before building:

Install Build Dependencies on Debian, Ubuntu and other APT-based distros:

sudo apt-get install build-essential libcurl4-openssl-dev

Install Build Dependencies on Fedora, RHEL, CentOS and other yum-based distros:

sudo yum install gcc make curl-devel

Install Build Dependencies on OpenSUSE and other ZYpp-based distros:

sudo zypper in gcc make libcurl-devel

4) Obtain miner : in this case I am using the noncepool miner (no longer around) posting.

git clone https://github.com/noncepool/cpuminer-yescrypt.git    (if your new virtual machine does not have "git" just follow the prompt output)

cd cpuminer-yescrypt

./autogen.sh               (again, if a fresh Linux install you may have to install auto-tools   sudo apt-get install automake  )

5) Here is where you will need the cpu information from above. Follow this link  http://www.opikdesign.com/kios/procie_kernel/  and scan the list for your cpu family and model. You may notice that there are also Intel based listings for those of you who may want to double check the effectiveness of your current build.

Once your family and model are found, the info we want is related to CFLAGS   There will be a box with 3 lines of info you want the middle line.

example: CFLAGS="-march=k8 -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer"    (Please make sure you check for 32bit or 64bit )

Now we can continue with building the miner, I will use our example above which is for a 32 bit AMD Athlon 64 X2 (now back to terminal)

./configure CFLAGS="-march=k8 -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer"  ( enter your specific CFLAGS command after ./configure )

make

You should have no errors reported in the compilation, now you can run the miner using a pool of your choice with the following command:
example:
./minerd -a yescrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum1.suchpool.pw:3322 -u yourusername -p yourpassword

You can also control the number of cores you want to use by using the -t command.
example:
./minerd -a yescrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum1.suchpool.pw:3322 -u yourusername -p yourpassword -t 3  (for 3 cores etc.)

Please note that you can use any pool you like, the above is meant as an example only.

I hope this helps those new to mining, Linux, and BSTY or those who have wanted use their AMD machines and couldn't Smiley

If you like it: XzmZG4tjj8DJZJcADUFYAChRETm1CkDkAY

Thank you very much!  Cool

What's up with the Hashlink pool?
No more coins coming since 13/09 ...  Sad
Websites say:

Quote
We are investingating issues in the backend. Your shares and hashrate are safe and we will fix things ASAP.

Findblocks disabled, new blocks will currently not show up in the frontend
Blockupdate disabled, blocks and transactions confirmations are delayed
Payouts disabled, you will not receive any coins to your offline wallet for the time being

Any news?

We have have not heard any updates from them yet.  Here are some pools that are available:
