1  Other / Meta / Re: This need to stop on: May 23, 2024, 11:09:59 PM

The effects of this is that, it limits readers from seeing your original thoughts on the topic because at first glance you see something like straight forward answer like (really), and when edited to contain the full text the reader may not come back to that thread again.
Not only that, it also lays an impression that the person is not confident of himself to deliver what can be reckoned as quality and sensible. And instead of allowing those that can start up the comments with something proper while they go on thinking on what to contribute they just chose to reserve with a word or two.

People that are with such habit are only creating a mode of self inferiority to themselves cause there's nothing special being in the first page of thread.

Newbies are also watching and they might follow suit thinking they have learnt something smart and good not knowing it's a bad thread responding pattern.
2  Other / Meta / Re: Why not temporary ban coinmapai199264? on: May 23, 2024, 10:43:23 PM
What's the point of Tem banning the user when, if you ban him or her, he can just come out with another account, create a new one if he already has others that he uses for shilling, and continue the spamming? Moderators are just deleting the post where necessary.

Deleting those posts and not banning him is just like keeping a close eye on him. Instead of passing through the stress of trying to detect the new account, which he might come out with again and start spamming the forum, he should already be on the watch list and ignore the list of members who are actively either reporting his posts or avoiding them.
For members with this spamming nature it doesn't take much time for old-hand members to put them on ignore list to save themselves off his constant shits. It could be that it hasn't come to mind for  Oshosondy to put himr on ignore that's why he keeps coming across his posts. What Oshosondy should do is adding him to his ignore list, for when his cup get filled the mods will do justice to his account.

For moderators to be regularly deleting his posts then it's obvious they have observed him even before this report for temporary ban.
3  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin pizza is it an anniversary? on: May 23, 2024, 05:39:39 PM
Bitcoin pizza day is not an anniversary, it is a day that people celebrate the first bitcoin trade.

Pizza for bitcoins?

You can check the link above and see the day laszlo bought pizza with 10000 BTC.
From what I think it was a kind of an experimentation which made history and today the history of bitcoin is never complete without making mention of that date. laszlo's aim for offering to purchase pizza using bitcoin when he could have just used fiat currency was to push forward the idea that bitcoin can be used to purchase just any item or product.

And it is this outstanding action by laszlo paying 10,000 bitcoins (which wasn't worth much as at the time) for 2 pizzas that opened the floor for the use of BTC in the exchange of goods and services that we do today.  And as something not to forget it makes a commemoration of that date a necessity. Hence, the yearly bitcoin pizza contest in the forum.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: May 23, 2024, 06:40:49 AM
Against the expectations of many, the Europa League final is going in favour of Atalanta. The Nigerian international Lookman have become a nightmare for Bayern Leverkusen following his two early goals. Now Leverkusen is two goals down and still facing serious pressure from Atalanta. Perhaps they understand the importance of remaining resolute until the end.
It's as if one would say it's Nigerian against Nigerians with both teams having Nigerian stars. Wilfred Boniface on the Bayer Leverkusen side was who almost all football fans was expecting to deliver in this position that Lookman has surprisingly emeged in, giving his team an early brace up goals.

On a serious note, Bayer Leverkusen willing be having a hard time getting a comeback on this one, Atlanta defense is that good enough to deny them that despite how much of a fighting spirit Beyer Leverkusen has shown throughout this season. It's just an unfortunate way to end their unbeaten record in a season at the final game. It's a shock of the night.
Lookman and his friends really played better than usual.  Even in the second half I saw Atalanta repeatedly create good opportunities. And Atalanta's defense also looks a little chaotic at the moment. They sometimes had difficulty keeping up with the fast attacks built by Atalanta's forward players. But Leverkusen will definitely do something. because it would be very difficult to believe if Leverkusen did not succeed in getting a goal back in the second half.

I would be very happy if Leverkusen could maintain their unbeaten record this season. Because only this match and other final matches in other competitions remain for Leverkusen. And I hope Leverkusen can finish it well. But what I see now is the game that Leverkusen is showing when creating an attack pattern that is really not like what they usually do. Maybe this happens because Atalanta understands the attack scheme that Leverkusen usually uses. And Atalanta have found a way to stop Leverkusen's attacking style.
Well, Beyer Leverkusen lost the game and their mistake was letting Atlanta to score those two goals, that's what you don't allow a team with a better defense line than yours do, I thought they could have learnt that about Atlanta when they knocked Liverpool out in the Europa after gaining those early goals against Liverpool. It's just hurting to know that Leverkusen's dream of a treble has been cut off it was all a bad night for them after 51 games unbeaten streaks, no doubt they will never forget in a hurry the name Ademola lookman. The guy was on fire last night, scoring a record breaking hattrick in the European league to give his side Atlanta an astounding victory.

Pochettino got Chelsea from drowning to the relegation zone to finish in a comfortable position on the table even though they had a poor form and they almost finish above Tottenham if not for some draws they had in the closing part of the season I think that was when they became ruthless and stronger in holding the ball.
With all these done by Pochettino in the Chelsea squad I think they should give him another opportunity to lead the squad next season after all he has gotten that connection with both the players and the fans, even if some of the fans don't buy the idea of him staying. To me if they bring another coach immediately after Pochettino leaves the side I feel the Blues will struggle again and this time it would be worse, but let's wait till Thursday if the Chelsea board would give him another go with the club.
Currently, it seems that more and more people are supporting Pochettino to stay at Chelsea longer. This happens because Pochettino has proven it by making Chelsea succeed in finishing in a pretty good ranking this season, namely 6th. But the issue of Pochettino's future at Chelsea next season is still confusing. However, based on several reports circulating, many people are also reporting that Pochettino is optimistic that he will be retained until next season. but everything will depend on the decision of the club or the club owner himself, namely Todd Boehly. But in a report it was also written that Todd Boehly had invited Pochettino to dinner and Pochettino indicated that it was a very nice dinner between the two of them and that it happened on Friday night last week. Hopefully this is a sign that Todd Boehly still has high hopes for Pochettino. Because if Chelsea fires Pochettino then the worry is that this team could return to poor performance again. Because of course there will be many changes when there is a change of coach again. Let's just wait and see what happens next.

Breaking news has it that Chelsea has parted ways with Pochettino based on mutual agreement but deep down we all know theres nothing of a mutual agreement about this being that Pochettino wouldn't want to voluntarily leave Chelsea right now if he wasn't asked to leave by the club owner, an action Todd Boehly was just waiting for the season to end before execution.

First it was Thomas Tuchel replaced by Potter with 5 year deal contract that was later terminated before it could mature, and then the Brazilian, Mauricio Pochettino was handed over the batting, a job in my opinion he did made a glaring improvement in the team taking them from 11th to finishing at 6th position this season which indicates he was doing something right with the club.

If Todd Boehly continue with this habit of  sacking the club managers in the process them blending with the players and not wanting to be patient with any manager, Chelsea will  become a relic in the EPL when talking about competitive teams in the league in season's to come. Any new coach that would be brought to the club now will have to use most part of next season to acquaint himself and his tactics with the players which is going to affect the team's performance taking them back to days of poor performance.

I don't think Todd boehly is serious for business, I know that he has the final decision but he has to be careful in his decisions, the problem Chelsea faced for sometime now was his earlier decision to sack Thomas tuchel, and pochetino took over, I won't mention poter because that wasn't a serious contract, allowing managers to be conversant with their teams helps a lot, how will a serious club mangement change 3 managers in 4-5years, if we look at chelsea lately, we will understand that the team has started adapting and working with their manager, this pochetino sack is like asking the players to start  afresh, Chelsea have to change this habit because this can lead a club into relagaton, the management  should give managers more time to make things right instead of making quick decision thats capable of ruining the club future.
To me he is just abusing that position of having a final say in the club that's something Roman Ibramovich didn't take pleasure doing, but Todd is just some inpatient owner that doesn't know what he really wants. And it's until he get to realize that these actions is making the club to go 1 step forward 3 steps backwards.

Rumour has it that Pochettino wanted some of the players to leave the club in the coming season which is contrary to Todd's desire for those said players, instead he had to cut ties with Pochettino to bring in a coach that will do his bidding as owner. It is most definitely that any new coach coming for next season is going to start afresh with the team and it's very rare to see a new coach coming into a team having them start off immediately on a good performance... Is this what Chelsea will keep doing on every start of the season? As I wonder when this sack series is going to end.

7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Influencer Fight Club 2 on: May 22, 2024, 12:59:23 PM
I reckon if you do not know these names then it appears that you either do not care for the news around the cryptospace or you have not been following the cryptospace very much closely.
Use to have a thing for all of these boxing fights but the more I learn about how a great percentage of them are been fixed and staged my interest declined till I had none anymore. I think it's one of the reasons why some prominent gambling sites don't enlist just any kind of fight in their platform irrespective of how internationally promoted the fight may be. So pardon me for not knowing those names  Grin

Quote
Also, these influencer fights are not done randomly. This is an agreement to fight between 2 influencers who hate each other on social media heheheheheh.
I could be wrong but I am just not convinced about this fight being a real combat because what I am seeing is a well staged planned promotional fight that is about to go down and not really about two persons who have hate for each other giving us a real fight. The hatred could just be a camouflage to sell the message far and wide for more audience.

A suggestion to everyone who creates reserve posts (I don't know why they do this, but ok):
When you update the posts with your pizzas, make a new post informing that you have updated the reservation post, and the link to it. This makes it easier to understand who has already sent their participation.
Regarding the wise suggestion as given by joker_josue, I wish to use this medium to make an information that I have updated my reserved post for the pizza contest as suggested. Here's a  link to it... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5496801.msg64089085#msg64089085

Every time there will always be a story and now only Modric is left behind from the Real Madrid midfielder trio of the prime era. We cannot deny that Kroos' long ball will always stick in every match and we will no longer find a player like him again. But at least his departure has provided enormous knowledge for his successors so that even though he retires he hopes that everything will be fine..
T. Kroos is one of the best players of his generation in football, a prolific midfielder with admirable accuracy with the ball. So sad that everything that has a beginning does surely has an end too and this day happens to be the turn of Kroos leaving Real Madrid and professional football. For me it's nice of him to leave at this time so to give opportunity to young talents in the team and i feel Luka Modric should do same anytime soon.  What a legend!

11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Religion. Beliefs or Choices? on: May 21, 2024, 07:14:44 PM
There are devoted Christians and Muslims that do gamble despite how much their religion prohibits it, you see them applying core discipline to it, and their lives tend to be more pleasing than even those that claim not to gamble because their religion frown at it. Same people that don't gamble still do take alcohol for the stomach sake.
I wouldn't limit it to the only two faith and beliefs. Not just Muslims and Christians that does it secretly. It's very likely that in some other known faith, despite that their teachings is not to gamble to avoid being greedy. There can be other root cause of it when it's outside gambling and yet, the result is the same and they still become greedy. But focusing with gambling, I guess it has become a normal thing when you hear some stories about a faithful or religious guy then have been seen some casino apps on their phone or into their devices.
Certainly not limited just to Christians and Muslims alone as other religions and it's faithfuls aren't exonerated, I only used  those two as reference point.

Aside gambling or alcohol, these faithfuls do default on some other  teachings and commandments in their religion that are so immoral but as a result of their hatred for gamble they make it appear as though gambling is the worst of them all, but that's not true.  Nowadays, we have much of hypocrite in many religions and it socks whenever my path cross with such people. And it's for some of these reasons that we find some persons excluding themselves from any adherent of any religion in order to have freedom of enjoying whatever activity they love doing in as much as it doesn't cause harm to their next neighbor.

While I love the concept given mate but for me Helping or giving away should be an act not only
when bitcoin or something festive happened instead why not do that all day even in small way like what I try
to do each day , giving a little to 50 cents is more than enough than a  hundred dollars when the market
hype at 100k, yeah it seems a little money but that is enough  to give a bottle of water for the thirsty
so lets share our blessings every single day mate .
Hey mate seem you are misunderstanding the concept from the Op.  Bitcoin reaching a 100k for the first is going to be a historical hallmark of an event to  we bitcoiners
ohh , yeah mate that did not cross my mind ,this is festive and something that we need
to celebrate and yes  we should do something
to give for this matter , thanks for reminding me mate.
You are welcome mate, glad you got the message now. Just like every other bitcoiner i can't wait to see bitcoin reach a 100k price mark. I have thought and concluded on using a 5% of  my total bitcoin hodling when the price hits 100k to organize a little indoor party strictly for kids alone that are within my neighbourhood. It might not be much but that's my little way of expressing my joy. I heard putting smiles on kids faces do bring some luck too.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Religion. Beliefs or Choices? on: May 21, 2024, 08:34:54 AM
However, people still gamble for various reasons.
We can assume that the people who still gamble are not from the religion that prohibits it or if they are they are not very religious.

I do not expect anyone to openly here discuss how they participate in something that is expressly prohibited by their religion.
Christianity does rule against gambling yet I do gamble and that doesn't make me a lesser christian than others. What I believe is that religions kicks against certain social activities due to how it has had a negative influence or results in the lives of people in the past, and to prevent their religious faithful from involving in those activities they have to hate it as they do the devil.

Certain religious prohibition is as a way to help the weak in faith and spirit amongst the religious faithful not to go astray as they might not be capable and well disciplined to maintain moderation getting involved in those activities, hence the prohibition.

Hey mate seem you are misunderstanding the concept from the Op.  Bitcoin reaching a 100k for the first is going to be a historical hallmark of an event to  we bitcoiners and what the Op is just saying is that we can use that day specially to extend a hand of financial help to the needy or anybody at all. On my own, I'll say it could be any form of assistance or support you can offer on that day to brighten the countenance of anyone around is fine.

We have always have the poor with us in the society and whether we like it or not we will always have those that are poor (less privileged) so even before and after bitcoin reaches a 100k price we can still show them some care and concern.  But on that day of a 100k it can be likened to every other special occasions people celebrate with others for something good that happened in their life.

Am new member. Hope everyone is well. I was very happy to see this beginner help and posted one. I am very interested to know about this forum, so I made an  account.
Welcome to the community, you are in the right place for every knowledge about cryptocurrency, mostly bitcoin.

Don't have much to say to you than  you should beware of scammers as the community is not entirely free from them. Kindly ignore unsolicited PM's of investment that promises unimaginable profits in return, unless where you're sure of it, even if you are sure still do your investigations.

You're solely responsible for yourself,  your growth both in knowledge and otherwise in here depends on your efforts.

And I want to tell you this for free. You might in the course of your journey get criticized, scold and attacked for one reason or another. I have seen some newbies make complain threads when they get all those criticisms instead of learning from it and fine-tuning how to improve, they just complain probably seeking for sympathy. Don't do that!

17  Economy / Services / Re: [CLOSED] BestChange Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ on: May 20, 2024, 11:08:46 AM
Been in the campaign for less than a year, and as always, it's sad to see a campaign closing after being here for years.
First it was Yolodice (been there for more than 2 years I think) then Bestchange.
That's a reminder to us all that generally nothing lasts forever and we should always set our minds to expect the unexpected. For Bestchange they have being able to set a good reputable record to their  name in the forum over the years and it will be indelible as that reputation will constantly speak volume for them even outside this community.

Came as a shock when I first got the news, being that if any signature campaign was to come to a close be it a temporary or permanent, Bestchange wasn't in that list in my mind but here we are. It must have been a very hard decision for them. One of necessity.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Memecoin Gambling verses Normal Gambling - which is more profitable? on: May 20, 2024, 07:41:46 AM
So, I've brought a few questions..
1. If you are into Solana meme coins as well as; engage in normal gambling, which has been more profitable to you?
I don't fancy these memcoins that much for obvious reasons, which is why I make do of normal gambling only and I can't say for sure which among the two gets to be more profitable as I haven't tried memcoins, am just a normal  sports gambler.

Quote

2. Assume you are not into any of the above, which would you prefer to get into if you are asked to choose one? And also explain why..

I'll prefer normal gambling any day anytime.

I confine myself to just the conventional gambling alone, the one you referring to as normal gambling. I had to embrace my reality by accepting the fact that fusing memecoin gambling with my normal gamble will make me spend more than I do with normal gambling.

The perspective when dealing with memcoins won't be same to when dealing with normal gambling, it's rather one of an investment risk  factor (project), which can make an individual who hardly spend much money on normal gambling to easily spend much on memecoin gambling. To avoid been caught up in such dilemma where I be struggling with my self discipline on how I spend money on gamble I just had to stuck my guns with the normal gambling.

This is one of those many entertaining fights  which is why am not expectant of anything spectacular from actor Terry Crews in this fight owing to his age 49 and his inexperience in boxing or MMA, it is a fight that should be effortlessly won by king Anderson for being a former UFC middleweight fighter is an obvious testament to that. So his victory here is not seriously in doubt.

Though am not a huge fan of boxing or MMA , I constitute in the few who only read news and trends about the industry just to stay updated about their growth and happenings, but on this one I'll manage to stream live to see what Crew can do. And I do commend the organizers of this fight for their choice of location Sao Paulo, Brazil, it's gonna be a mass attendance.
