Just to confirm. We are done mining POW correct?  Undecided
correct, all done with the PoW, PoS now!

Thank you for the quick reply. Fingers crossed for an exchange soon.

Also Idon't think some people understand that mining is a risk. New coins at launch are a bigger risk. Risking time and money (electricity and hardware life) in the hopes of making a profit. Sometimes coins turn out to be worthless or plummet as you just got a good amount to cash out, Devs turn flaky, and so on. That is part of the game. Do your homework and make the best decision possible with the information at hand. It may pay off it may not. If you are not ready to take these risk then this is not for you. Not every coin turns out to be a gold mine. I knew this particular coin was very very risky because of a few factors. I still mined on during most of the POW because I needed the coin launch experience. How to navigate the playing field, press for Exchanges, earn extra coins from the giveaways ect ect. Even if this one turns out to be a bust I know what to look for during the next launch. I thank everyone for the info posted.

WTH kind of craziness is this? A Dev that listens to suggestions?  Shocked I may have pegged you wrong a bit. You do want this thing to succeed. Damn, that means I need to change my miners back to MJ.  Grin

MJCoin - why you continue to ignore the asked N times question about the premine. We are not blind or stupid....

I have not ignored the question on premine.
I answered earlier in the thread the usefulness of premine.

That shows you are not reading this thread because the "usefulness of premine" was not the question.

I am about 3 seconds away from switching my miners to anything else. The only reason this has been a more successful launch then others is because we were actually able to mine something. Other then that it has been about as pointless as the rest of the failed to launch coins. You have not answered anything useful in days.

MJ Coin Faucet Ready Waiting Donation

http://altcoinix.com/faucets/mj-coin-faucet/

Does anyone even have any M.Jcoin yet except the dev? Isn't it 500 confirms till payout for everyone? We are only at block 440. It would be nice if the dev would put some in to get it started Smiley
Hope everyone has a good Day

Yup, when you wake up in the morning i hope you see some nice confirmed coins Smiley

I hope so as well. So far its pretty slow going. Figured a new coin would be a tad easier at the onset.  Undecided

This is the first time I have seen my error rate this high. Been mining a lot of different coins without having to change settings. CGminer shows 9HW but the pool has me at 1243! That is a pretty big difference. Can you help explain what that is all about? Thanks

What are you mining on or are you renting? All mine are doing about the same as they do on any other pool/coin. The 500 confirms is a lot though.

Im mining and I did not change any setting from the previous 6 coins I was mining. I have never seen this before. Last round I had 0 errors. This round I have over 1200(CGminer says 9). I have not changed anything. If you are on Hardcoreminers look at the round stats and you will see what I mean. I always looking at the stats when mining. Lets me know if something is wrong, if I am wasting my time ect ect. Never have I seen myself with 1200 invalids lol Somebody is showing 10k! lol  Cheesy 100k invalids in this round.

Also it looks like whatever it is might have correct itself. I havent had a new invalid in the last 10-15 minutes.

Why is there so many errors? minerpools is at 98.11 Efficiency and Hardcoreminers is a bit better at 99.61. 102,399 errors out 26,777,122. Guess I have gotten spoiled on other coins. Does this match up to what others have seen on other launches? Excluding Square of course

"i have attempted that.  yet still no go. should I delete any files that are already in the /mjoin folder first?"

Did you happen to extract the MJcoin folder from the Rar file or did you just click the exe first? Also do you have the folder set to display the file extensions so you can truly create the .conf part and not have a file named mjcoin.conf.text

My files worked just as he explained earlier. C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\MJCoin

Again it has been stated it is on the front page.

before you attempt to give out help, make sure you know what the problem was, I was not asking for the code, i was asking how to get to the file to change the code....failed help...

And my wallet works and yours is a POS like you, Failed on being a useful person.

There is always at least 1 in every community.  The reason prisons were created.   Smiley

Hey bro you were the one acting a little like a wad with your over sized font and asking like people must bow down to your request for help.  People were very busy trying to get things up and running and dealing with the fork. Your post got missed.  If you could have ask like a normal person I would have provided you a complete answer. I knew what you were asking. You are not the first nor the last that will run into this issue. Just because I started making post on here today does not mean I am new to this place or mining. Wouldn't prisonn be for those that can't read or follow simple directions? Right Inmate #12345.conf

So how about we drop this and move on to making coins. Ya good now?

10% for Furthering the coin 40% for Donations should go into a publicly tracked escrow account not a coin address people can see activity on but doesn't stop you from clearing it out at any moment. That would make people feel a lot better. Right now it is a bunch of "Trust me, We will do right with this shit ton of BTC we will earn in just a few weeks. Promise it will go to charity! Wink!! Wink!!"

Not calling you a scammer, I just saying when this many people are questioning your motives, current structure and distribution of earned coins, then you should offer something more solid then "trust me, Im the good guy."

Good luck to all. There is no Theoretical Mining. This is real mining, going to real BTC that makes somebody real money.

I don't think you understand the mining concept, if you like I can explain it. Also, how much BTC do you expect us to be making? It's not that much and it gets cleared on a weekly basis with the whole weekly charity donations.

Gonna quickly mention again it's 50% to charity and 50% to further the coin.

I dont need you to explain it. I screwed up on the way I listed the numbers. My fault, I could try to explain what I meant to put down but It isnt important. But the point of it remains the same. A lot of people have concerns about how things are structured and distributed. I have been reading this thread for the last few days and it comes down to "trust me". Why not have the "Dontation" portion Put into an escrow or something OUTSIDE of your direct control. Bring in the charities and they set up an escrow. Have the funds raised alternate automatically. Week1 this group, week 2 this group ect ect with the escrow paying out directly to the group. Or it splits among them equally every month.  Anything to where it is not under your direct and only control.

That's a fine idea. Would you be comfortable with the fact that I would still be in control of sending money to the escrow + the fees incurred by having an escrow? If so, please link me to a escrow, I'll be contacting them immediately.

Sorry bro but not my job to do all that. Just giving you some ideas to establish some faith into your coin. That there is some kind of barrier people can see that shows you are not ripping them off. Good luck.

If I don't donate the 0.5-1 BTC I make the first week then this coin is a scam, simple as that.

Very true. I may have missed it earlier in the thread but how were you showing proof of donation?

I can for example set up a fundraising page on The Water Project to show proof through their website.

Good idea.

Nothing like a new start to a new coin. Even with all the scams, devs leaving, etc... I always enjoy the start to a new coin. Few minutes left, smoke a bowl (in tribute) and start the miner up.

I like the way you think.  Grin
