1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I'm being robbed by mercatox (dogecoin scam) [solved] on: December 27, 2022, 05:08:46 PM
[solved]
After reporting mercatox on reddit, github, twitter, facebook, google, police station, coinmarketcap, etc from the 6th to the 26th of December, my issue was resolved.
Note that I had to report it in all media to get a response at the height. They haven't fixed the doge transfer yet, it might even be true that they are fixing it.
I will not stop looking at people trapped in mercatox who were not the fight for what is theirs as I was, there are thousands of dollars stopped in mercatox with the deposit available.

The solution to the problem was strange. Hanna made an appointment with me so that on the 27th at 4 pm I would be online for her to make the transfer. At no time was the doge available for withdrawal, and yes it was done by them.

I also cannot help noticing that many messages I received from support were lies (as it seems to me), as there was no response from any department, not finance, authority or superior. Who appears there in the comment is a normal attendant. That is, does mercatox not have weak employees? I noticed this because Josh and Hanna were the ones who solved it, Murry seemed to try and the others didn't even care and sent automatic messages.

Reading what people say about mercatox, those who criticize say that they are taking advantage of people, keeping their money there without the right to withdraw. Those who defend her say she is very lazy.

Putting these two analyzes together, you deduce that you will only get what you want with this exchange if you react to its delay in some way, in chat, by email, or by reporting it. I also noticed that by email the solution was better than by chat.

My recommendation is not to put doge in mercatox until everything is resolved (they don't want to take the deposit). I thank the members of the bitcointalk forum who tried to help me in their own way, in the end I don't believe that your action really reached mercatox, but I thank you for your good intentions. As well as those who shared and reported mercatox with me on twitter and reddit.

I was surprised by their response, do you think they will solve it? This john is new, he didn't appear before.

What do you think? I can't spend Christmas without this money..

Don't expect to get something better from mercatox. They have got a shit reputation. Check their bitcointalk trust here- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=912990
Can also have a read to this- Crex24.com = 1xBet = 1xBit. Owners of fraudful exchange have been de-anonimyzed
They are a serial scammer and I read somewhere that mercatox has a connection with Crex24, I can't remember where I read it.
Anyway, ever since DOGE has a surge, many exchanges had committed fraud including the top exchanges. I don't think you will get anything anytime soon.
You told me about these related brokerages, I would say that it could be true.. I would also like to include there an old brokerage that broke bitflip and bitexbook, they are all Russian. Bitflip after suffering a hacker attack sold itself to bitexbook. I've already talked to bitflip's support about slow transfers in the past and I remember that they had the same way as mercatox. They can all be of the same coin. The guy who answered at bitflip is called dmitry.

I noticed that there are several individuals assisting and only a few actually assist, there are some who refuse assistance, that is, you have to try until you succeed .. the most recent one is to appeal to "higher autority" or God after threatening them .. This is funny, because God would condemn them to hell if that were the case, do they know that? I still think they make these departments up.. anyway there's no way to know who these guys really are?

7  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I'm being robbed by mercatox (dogecoin scam) on: December 18, 2022, 10:29:36 AM

I noticed contradictory things on the site, you can enter dogecoins on it, but you cannot withdraw or send to other users of the site. What is wrong because you make users enter the doge and never leave because there is no way to leave. The right thing is to block the entrance, I even want pressure on that, as it is clearly an act of bad faith. Huh

This happens when there is a price difference between the coins on the exchange and the real market price. Trusted exchanges close the deposit and withdrawal as well, but in such cases in weak exchanges there is certainly bad faith when they leave the deposit open and close the withdrawal. This is a kind of trap. !!!

I used mercatox.com years ago to deposit some ICO's because it was only listed on this exchange, it was good in the past but now I don't know about it, but the exchange certainly has many problems especially the lack of liquidity and support.

I'm afraid you have no other solution but to be patient and contact support, it is possible that you will get some compensation.
I don't know if the email you sent worked, did they say anything? They said they will pass my proposal on to the higher department. I believe that these departments don't even exist, honestly, I think it's the creator or creators of the site responding, because when I asked to pass my proposal to the finance department, they denied it.

I went to put my money in the hands of these guys in 2017 or 2018 and I left it there. At the time there were no complaints and it was one of the only bags that accepted nano, today I see that they are a disgrace..
I read through some posts on Reddit and apparently this problem has been dragging on for long, Probably started somewhere in 2018-2019. They keep promising people that they will work on the technical issue, but it's shocking that to this date, they have never done anything or even shown any progress.

If an exchange can have a technical issue dragging on for 4 years, and it's involving people's money, then maybe they shouldn't be in business

How long have you had this problem? Already solved? I don't know about you, but after all this is over or the 1st day arrives, I'm going to file a lawsuit with google asking for the withdrawal of these sites from their searches, as it is unacceptable that you can put money in and not withdraw it. Clearly they set these traps to deceive people.
Sorry to give you the bad news, Google is pretty messed up. I remember I have ever reported real scam sites and nothing was ever done.
Sometime in 2019 they fixed it, some people said so and I saw some videos showing it. The problem started again in 2020.
Have you been harmed by these sites? If so, you should report to the police what google is doing. I think it also depends on how many people make these complaints to google.

This issue has similarity with Hitbtc since they have problem too on Dogecoin but in there case was you can’t withdraw Doge that you purchase inside the exchange since there doge rate is different to the global market price. They are luring user to purchase DOGE that can’t be withdrawn and trap in the exchange alone. The same case took a lot of time or even now it’s still not resolved.

Mercatox is a mediocre exchange so expect a lengthy process just to fixed your issue. You are still lucky that there support is still answering. Try to use twitter to publish your story and tag them. This might help you to speed up recovering your asset.

I admire the patience to only come out after a year of keeping it to yourself.
1:1 would be fair to ask but then even this will likely not be granted to you. What are you doing to that exchanges by the way? These are the scam exchanges long before 2020 so this should have been avoided if you have read some accusations of these exchanges. They were known only back in the time of ICO and after that, they were not used by people.

Update: Mercatox banned me from chat after reporting

If you're also not banned from email live support, you can try to apply for withdrawal cancellation with the help of the exchange support instead of you insisting on getting doge but will be in the queue indefinitely.
Asking them to pay with another coin feels a bit inconvenient.
I already did that, I demanded a position from the financial department. I said I would accept 0.5 btc on the 11th which was the market value of doge. The guy told me to sell on the website, however that is not possible, as selling at market value is blocked. I informed the impossibility and he informed me to wait for the maintenance..
He said he would pay 10X the fee of 50 doge and they denied it, he said he would pay 100X the fee amount and they denied it .. There is no solution ..

Note that support resists showing my offer to the finance department. For me, those who answer you are the creators themselves, because they decide who to show their problems to..

Update: Mercatox banned me from chat after reporting that if you buy doge you won't be able to withdraw him from here:
Honestly for you, I'm just going to wait until the 1st, after that I'm going to report mercatox on google to get it out of the search, I also reported it on coinmarket for showing false market values. This site is clearly a scam. But he scams in a way that if you report it, BAN supporters appear saying he's not a scam. That is, for some they do the normal transactions and for others they steal, until they are all robbed! For me they just wait until as many people come to steal them.

That's already too long for a withdrawal request and they'll just tell you that they've sent it to the right department, I've never used mercatox but I saw people that have used them before and then has no problem with it. With what I know there, their reputation isn't really solid unlike the others.

You can post a scam accusation on the appropriate section but we're not sure if that's going to have that assurance they'll allow this withdrawal of yours.

Post it on Scam Accusations and then follow the format: Scam Report Format (Use it to make scam reports properly)

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I'm being robbed by mercatox (dogecoin scam) on: December 13, 2022, 08:39:27 PM
Is this related to the doge network upgrade? Binance seems to have chosen a similar reason for suspending the doge withdrawal since about 1 year ago.
Smelling somewhat fishy since doge's top pumping, the exchange's founders capitalized on this opportunity into third-party profit-making services behind the scenes which resulted in less liquid withdrawals.
I believe so, but being like this for more than a year is too much, because in other exchanges this has already been resolved.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I'm being robbed by mercatox (dogecoin scam) on: December 13, 2022, 07:34:50 AM
It's not surprising anymore if Mercatox scam their users because there's many accusations has been posted in this forum:

1. MERCATOX POTENTIAL SCAM !!!!!!
2. mercatox.com - Beware!
3. Mercatox.com is a big SCAM !
4. Blocking access to verified Mercatox account
5. My btc not confirmed for 24HRS/72 H MERCATOX MULTIPLE CASUALTIES SCAM MERCATOX?
6. MERCATOX BTC WITHDRAWAL

I read your problem hasn't been solved for one year and they're scam you for high amount, IMO you can report to police or legal law to process this matter.
That's their problem, you don't know if they are a scammer or if they are bums, some problems were solved there, the transfer of nano, for obvious reasons, was always automatic. But I think it's better to call it a coup because they had to fix it.
17  Economy / Scam Accusations / I'm being robbed by mercatox (dogecoin scam) [solved] on: December 12, 2022, 08:28:32 PM
I've been trying for days to withdraw my dogecoins without success from Mercatox, detail, this problem comes from last year with the covid. I waited for them to resolve it until today, however, until today the problem has not been resolved. I suggested paying for them to solve it, since then, they have already sent me to the technical department and higher, but so far they have not solved the problem..  Sad I suggested that they send or exchange my dogecoins at market price, BTC 0.5 and pay for the losses I had sending money in the wallet, however they claim that the problem with doge will be solved soon, even though it's been more than a year since the problem.. Angry I also suggested that they give me BTC 0.5 worth of doge at market price, also paying for my losses, as I had the money, the guy said that I should sell the doge on the website, however the exchange option is blocked, there is no way exchange at market price.

Huh

Today, they claimed they are almost fixing the problem, but I wouldn't say that, because the site said it would fix it soon and it's been a long time for that to be true, there are only 2 active doge users on their site, we share the same problem.

I also noticed an increase in coins that are under maintenance, the week before it was 60, now it is 64 coins.

This does not surprise me, mercatox blocked dogecoin withdrawals for 2 years, I have $60000, at the time what was there was only worth $100. Told them I want to pay for a solution but they just ignore it and tell me to wait on social media.

The mercatox exchange solved the OP's problem after creating this thread. I emailed the mercatox exchange on Op's behalf and got a resolution to the complaint fairly quickly. Your funds have been stuck for so long why you did not take any action? If an exchange illegally withholds customer funds under any pretext, that is also a scam. Why haven't they taken proper action on Dogecoin after two years? Or did they sell your Dogecoin to another exchange?
I got into this in 2018, the problem actually started in 2020 with covid, many brokerages suffered from the same problem for short periods of time, I thought they would solve it, but until today they haven't solved it, I say it was a year, because talking to some people, they had access to withdraw.

Gather evidence of the problems you are facing and how they are giving you various excuses as to why they are not allowing you to withdraw. Here you can open an accusation thread against them, so that it can be helpful for others who are in the same problem as you. I think mercatox didn't want to miss this lucrative opportunity due to the reckless price increase of Dogecoin and played any hidden game with their customer's funds. It is important to know detailed analysis from them.
The website says it is completing the repair, what now? How much longer to wait? I just have to wait another week...
