1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: March 09, 2024, 10:05:55 PM
What is happening with Atletico Madrid?

I write right now in the Champions League thread about them, because i was having high hopes of seeing them winning against Inter Milan, but man they are playing horrible right now. And they are not longer so effective in defense like in the past, seems like they are suffering so much for not having Griezman in the starter 11.

Atletico Madrid have shown some inconsistency in these games, and even in that one, I did not expect to win from them, so I am surprised to see that you are panicking or bet that they should win. If not, it is clear that Inter are stronger than Atlectico Madrid, so their performance did not surprise me at all. However, the time has already passed and I think they have already lost to Inter Milan, so even if they have a strong defence in these games, I did not expect them to win because they are playing with a stronger team than them.
2  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Do Not Pressure Anyone Around You To Invest In Bitcoin. on: March 09, 2024, 12:05:37 PM
There are some people who may never be interested in investing in Bitcoin even when they see the need to invest I think the best thing is to ignore them instead of putting so much pressure on them for them to invest. It is not every one that understands the meaning of investing for the future I think anyone who's interested in Bitcoin investments won't waste time to invest regardless of the current economic situation.
Putting pressure on someone to invest in bitcoin is not good at all, because anything that happens to those people's money, you will be the one to blame. So regardless of how much you love someone, it is really bad to force someone to invest in bitcoin or even other cryptocurrency because there is a lot of risk in this space that not everyone will have the mind to take. For me, anyone who wants to invest will find their way to do it, or they will find people who know about it to teach them the processes and let them know about the risk of the investment. So I think we should view these as wishes, not compulsory. The country is not even funny, so imagine that with these hardships you are trying to convince someone to invest. You should know that there will be a big problem if things do not work as wanted. Also, the longevity of the investment is what some of them look like.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: best way to start on: March 09, 2024, 07:39:24 AM
recently i get help from some good people to open wallet for bitcoin.
im a kid for this world but my age is not.
May 25, 2018, 04:54:25 PM my account activation date.
First, you made a mistake by allowing someone to create a bitcoin wallet for you from the first time. Do you think these people are going to know your private key? People are not trusted again, mate. However, age does not matter here. Just share your knowledge and ask for what you don't understand. People will help you out.

now i curious to know more about this world, how its work, how to start here.

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in healthcare on: March 09, 2024, 07:18:43 AM
Often times we attribute the benefit of Bitcoin only to financial and economic sector of various businesses and nations. Have we ever thought about the benefit that the  Bitcoin network will have if implemented on health care? Especially now that it is rising faster than we expected
Here are some of the benefit I can think of:
The application of blockchain technology is not restricted to any industry. Bitcoin can be utilised in every sector of the economy; how we choose to apply or utilise it is up to us. You know, that's just how other businesses and sectors use cryptocurrencies like bitcoin to simplify their own lives, therefore I believe that's how it should be.

Quote
Effective Payment process.
One of the advantages of Bitcoin technology is the ability to make seamless payment. Normal payment processes with traditional banks can be time consuming and delayed especially when it involves a large sum but with the help of Bitcoin technology, seamless payment transactions can be carried out.
Yes, but I would like to remind you that the government bears the primary responsibility for funding the health care system, and I do not believe that bitcoin will play a role in these processes. While it would be beneficial if it did, the government will not use the process to finance the health care system when they have their own local currency and banks.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling between the past and nowadays on: February 19, 2024, 09:43:32 PM
what are the factors that brought  change in the field of gambling? What is your outlook on it in the future?
Technological advancement is one of the most common factor that brought change in the field of gambling. Not only in the improvements of additional new features in the specific platform but also the existence of mobile devices that makes gambling a lot easier to access and given that most of us has now access on the internet which is also evolving.
maybe in the future, we can play in casinos by meeting other players and interacting with them through the digital world. So at one live gaming table, there is not only interaction through conversation but can present a clear picture of us playing online casino virtually.
looking at technological advances, of course, anything can happen, and casino development will never stop. It will continue to grow and keep up with the times. because the enjoyment will never disappear.
yeah. Online casinos will continue to develop because I believe we will have more companies coming and they will come with different things that will make gambling easier in technology, but how you say this is funny to me when you say we will start having conversations with players. Did you mean we will discuss with a team of players that we want to bet on or what are you exactly talking about? Because this is what I think you meant by what you said.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who should quit, and why? on: February 19, 2024, 09:23:46 PM
I don't see any problem there. Its true that we shouldn't gambling in front of children as it may effect them badly. But when its comes to mature people like you and your wife, there's nothing wrong until both of you guys can control yourselves, follow the discipline as well as able to manage economical status and become so responsible as gambler. Nobody need to quit, just mainly focus on primary income source and do gambling less or stay within limit. Don't spoil family moments , only gambling when get free time or children aren't around you.if you guys can't handle and worry about Ensure the healthy environment for children, then both can quit gambling together, otherwise there'll be a quarrel between you about this matter. So that is my suggestion
Yes. It is imperative that we abstain from gambling in front of our children, particularly if they are old enough. Whilst both spouses are allowed to gamble, this is only an agreement between the two of them as not everyone is aware of this type of circumstance. To be clear, even if my wife does decide to gambling, it will be with my money, thus I won't let her do it in the first place. Considering that my spouse and I are gamblers, what use will it be? In the end, I don't think it will have any beneficial effects.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do many people fail in trade? on: February 19, 2024, 08:40:36 PM
People fail in trading because they are not capable to win. Not only because they don’t have what it takes to make a profitable trade, but they are also not well prepared enough to trade due to lack of knowledge and skills, and most probably they lack the trading experiences that will make them master their trading. However, some people fail in trading despite of their trading knowledge and experiences, but since they find it hard to control their emotions, and would always based their decision from their emotions, then this kind of people will never win from their trades.
Many people struggle with emotional regulation. Many traders are killed by greed, which is why they keep losing money in trading even with their knowledge and experience. Technical analysis and basic trading knowledge are vital to know as long as trading is an issue, even though they are what cause many traders to lose. To be successful in the market while trading, traders must be knowledgeable about every facet of trading.

most people who trade for the first time think that they can double their money using their messy analysis and very little knowledge. so that when they enter the market using real money, they immediately lose, because their expectations do not match the reality of a market that is so dynamic. and once they have a bitter experience in the market, they will think that trading is like gambling and it will just be a waste of their time.

that's why before trading it is important to build knowledge and understand first how the world of trading works, so you can minimize the possibility of failure and just wasting money in the market.
These are the people that view trading as a quick method to become wealthy; they never take the time to learn the ins and outs of the market, which means that they are always losing money when they trade.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STOP telling people how much Bitcoin you have on: February 17, 2024, 11:04:16 PM
I just wanted to share a piece of advice that I learned early on from Andreas Antonopoulos (if you don't know whom this is, I highly recommend looking up his YouTube page and watching his videos and or reading his book Mastering Bitcoin) never tell anyone how much bitcoin you have.  Andreas use to say it's not our job to teach everyone we know about bitcoin, letting them know we own some "Let that be my job" he would say.
Telling someone how much Bitcoin you have is obviously rude because it's the same as telling them how much money you have in your bank account. These people can cause a lot of problems for you because you never know who you will give your secret to. Alternatively, you might say that while the person is filming, he might share the video online and you have no idea how many thousands of people will watch it.

Since a smile is only on the face and we have no idea what is really going through people's minds, we should exercise caution when doing things or disclosing our secrets to others. It's as if you were disclosing your secret to the world and they might start looking for your investment in an attempt to con you.
9  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: House of reps moves to stop sports betting in Nigeria (am news) on: February 17, 2024, 10:48:47 PM
My country people I throwaway salute give all of una for this morning/afternoon/evening depending on when you see this post. This morning I dey listen new for radio I come hear when dem dey do newspaper review, them come read in headline say federal House of representatives don dey make move to discuss say dem wan stop sports betting, them no give full details and reason why this move wan happen because I no know weda diswan follow dey affect our economy wey dey cause hard time. This thing if e happen say dem stop am e go get negative and also positive effects on the street and by extension the whole country population.

So my own na be say how in see this move?? Wetin be the advantage and the disadvantage wey dis move fit get on the society especially the young people them, make we discuss our ideas how una see am.
I came across these news stories around that time last week or a few days ago, but I actually do not know if these are true because I dont know the impact it will get for them if they ban or stop betting in Nigeria. However, sport is making some youths in Nigeria see food to chop on a daily basis, and stopping these will not make any sense because these are not the actual things that the country needs, but the Nigerian government is always looking for things that will cause a hard time for the citizens. If not, I dont see the negative impact sport betting has coursed that will make them stop sport betting.

These moves have no advantage for these countries because of the way the country's economy is moving. Now some youths are using sport betting to support their hustle; furthermore, they cannot stop sport betting in Nigeria. What I want them to understand is that these country is not like other developing countries in that once they keep policy, the citizens will follow, and the reason why we are not doing what they said is because of the hardships we are facing. Just imagine a country where there is no job for the youths coming up with this type of idea when we all know that there is a lack of job that makes people enage them. Selves in sports betting, how did they expect youths to stop it?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What memecoins are you holding atm? on: February 16, 2024, 08:16:24 AM
Many of you know that memecoins are all the rage right now, but with so many to choose from, it can be hard to know which ones are worth investing in. If you're thinking about jumping on memecoin, it's important to do your research and understand the risks involved.
So personally, I'm currently holding two memecoins that I believe have the potential for significant growth: $WIF and $BABYDRAGON.
Are meme coins suppose to be hold for long time? How are you going to be comfortable holding a meme coin? We all know how risky meme coins are, and most of them are just created by scammers just steal peoples money, it’s surprising how some people are so confident in meme coin, most of them have no use case, no road map, they are just created and they decide to pump money into marketing to create awareness so that people will invest, most meme coins don’t even last, you hear about them for just few moments and they will die off, how are you going to hold coins like that for a long period of time? It doesn’t make any sense to me.

If am not investing in bitcoin, then I will rather invest in strong altcoins like Eth, BNB, Solana and many other coins, instead of investing in meme coins, I see meme coins to be a waste of money, am not saying people are not making money from meme coin investments, but the risk is just kind of high, and just little people are making money from it.
11  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Are you Benefitting or not Benefitting due to Dollar increase on: February 16, 2024, 07:54:01 AM
My pipo as we all know say the matter concerning nde rate of how Dollar take dey strengthen over de Naira, Na something wey get negative and positive impacts for fellow citizens. Some of us get friends, brother, pipo around us wey dis thing dey affect dem either good or bad. I get friends wey dey earn $200,000 weekly and because Naira dey week de guy dey acquire better properties and other assets and him happy as the Naira dey week because him  earnings get big value and  I also get friends wey dey complain negatively about de situation.
As dollar dey go up, people wey dey earn in dollar, their money to dey increase, so e get small advantage for them, but people wey dey do government work na those people e dey affect badly, because as dollar dey go up, price of things too dey go up, and their salary dey the same, so na people like that go hear am for body pass.

But even people wey dey earn in dollar, no be say dem go fit acquire plenty things just d way u dey reason am ooo. D way dollar dey go up, price of things dey multiply also, Wetin you go buy with 1000 Naira when dollar still dey low, you go need hold like 5000 naira if you wan buy am now, most especially things wey dem dey import come dis country. Try enter were them dey sell cars make you see d way dem put money for cars now. So no be say people wey dey earn in dollar go fit dey accumulate plenty properties, but those people better pass people wey dey earn in Naira.
12  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Make we dey check minimum deposit for exchange before sending crypto. on: February 14, 2024, 04:37:45 AM
My people I dey greet una, abeg make una no vex for this my post. Na something wey just happen to me today I come say make I carry come here as e fit help other newbies like me. If post like this don already exists abeg make una let me know so I can delete this one. My fellow newbies abeg before we send our crypto to any exchange, make we do well to check the minimum deposit well before sending it to avoid asset loss.
Na better talk you carry come ooo, my friend don complain about similar thing before, him send money go one exchange like that wey I no really know the name, the mistake wey him make say him no check the minimum withdraw for the exchange, since him don dey use the exchange before and him never get any deposit problem, but as him send dis particular money, the money hang ooo, e no enter him wallet, as him go dey do more research, na him the guy see say the money wey him send no reach minimum deposit, na so the money no go enter, and Wetin funny me pass be say, the guy no get any money for hand, and him really need the money.

Dis minimum deposit for exchange na Wetin some people no dey carry serious, because even me I no dey check am before, but since my friend tell me about this, I dey always check minimum deposit, minimum withdrawal, the minimum amount wey I fit trade for the exchange before I go start to dey use the exchange, before na when person no get money, and you wan commot small money for emergency sake, na when things like this dey always happen.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: February 12, 2024, 05:24:26 AM
Precisely, as there's no assurance that you can win and the consequences is tough as most of the time you'll going to lose, taking loans and use it for investment or business will help you to grow your finances
People do see business, and other investment which they can take loan and venture into, but they won’t do that, they do prefer to take loan and gamble with it, and most people that are doing that do end up losing everything to gambling, they won’t have choice than to start thinking about how they will be able to pay back their loan, that’s why some people do end up committing suicide after losing in gambling, some of them do end up using the money which they are not suppose to use, and it’s not really right, if you are gambling, then do that with your money, don’t take loan, sell properties just because you want to gamble.
14  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: The need to acquire an asset now on: February 12, 2024, 05:16:02 AM
Many people wishes to get an asset when they start making it in life but as soon as such opportunity comes up they begin to live frivolous lifestyle and saying that they are still young as they can still meet up their target anytime without knowing that time flies and an opportunity that one may miss in life can take longer time to get again.
The issue wey young people dey always get be say, when they are broke, them go dey plan themselves, they go talk say if money enter they go use am for better things, but jut allow make the money enter see, you go see say everything about them go just change, na things wey no even they there plans before na Wetin them go dey do be that, them go they lavish money anyhow, and if the money finish, they go come they regret things wey them do, and e go don too late by then.

Most people don’t know it’s better they invest at young age, make you make sure say you don secure your future keep, so that if time they go and things no go well again, you go fit fall back to your investment. But most young guy now, if them get money, na that time their test for woman go change, dem go they lavish money for club, and other things wey no really make sense.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin, when to buy on: February 10, 2024, 03:04:00 AM
I am not going to say here that I have very good experience with Bitcoin but if anyone thinks he will invest in Bitcoin then he can invest from the current price.
Everyone has a pattern that they are using to invest, and everyone does what works best for them. If I were to tell anybody to invest in bitcoin, I wouldn’t just tell them to invest once, especially if the person is very new to bitcoin investment and is scared to invest. I would just tell them they should split their money and invest in parts.

Let me make an example. if you have $100 in your wallet and you want to invest, you can just decide to divide the $100 into parts, with each part being $25. You can decide to use $25 to invest every week or every two weeks, it depends on you. Just give yourself an amount to be invested and the time interval for your investment.
16  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Youths doing anything to survive on street of Nigeria. on: February 10, 2024, 02:55:36 AM
The system of the country is a mess and you don't expect the youth to fold there hands and die of hunger.when hungry bit you it can make someone to do anything to survive.the youth don't care what they put there hands into so long as it puts food on there table for them and there family.
Things are not really working well in this country, and people are really suffering, nobody go wan die of hunger, and na why everybody dey struggle to see food chop be that. But Wetin I notice say most youths dey do now na fraud which is not good, or maybe na for my area na him most youths dey do yahoo, even small children wey never sabi anything na Wetin dey even surprise me. But I go talk say no matter the shege wey you dey see, e no mean say make you go start to dey commit crime, I no go lie you, no matter what you are passing through, crime is not suppose to be an option.

If you want to put food on your table, then make sure say work wey you dey do na clean work, no dey do things wey you no go fit dey proud of if you talk am publicly.
17  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: What should Nigerian’s do to hold corruption politicians accountable? on: February 07, 2024, 05:24:06 AM
Have looked at it in my own way. That Nigerian’s can actually hold corruption politicians accountable by not taking bribe.
How I wish we can really do without taking bribe from any politicians, then that’s really going to be a nice one, but the politicians have imposed suffering on us that, they know when they come to us with just small amount, we won’t have choice than to just collect due to suffering. Some people go even talk say if I no collect the bribe, another person go still collect am, and dem go still win, so make I just collect my thing, and some so talk say maybe na the only benefit wey I go fit get from them in the next four years so make I just collect my thing.

Almost everybody don dey corrupt for this country now, no be only politicians they corrupt now, everybody just dey look for opportunity to cash out, even we wey be youth, any small post wey we hold, we go wan miss use am. But how I wish say we go fit dey smart if campaign period come, any politician wey come campaign with money, make we reject am, na the work wey you don do you go use campaign, and anyone wey no get any better thing to show, then make we vote am out.

It’s just high time we stop voting for parties during elections, it’s better we vote for people on what they have done, irrespective of the party the person is, and if you do 4 years and you performed below people’s expectations, then make dem vote you out, na that time most of our politicians go get sense.
18  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Do not overwork yourself on: February 07, 2024, 05:10:13 AM
Utilize your body for retirement so that you can fit in to handle your other phases in life of chasing income at your depreciations of man-power to activeness.
So many people are too eager uncontrollably chasing after income without undermining their ages and so as considering the health fitness of themselves at ages.
There are some things we are suppose to stop at some certain time, but we also have to know that, due to hardship in the country, if you stop those things you might not be able to make earnings to survive, so you don’t just have choice to continue the work. Most of the hard works have age limit, the amount you are suppose to be paid when you are still young, if accumulated, then you should be able to save enough money that’s going to sustain you even after retirement, but all the hard works in this country are underpaid, you will only get the money you will be using for survival on a daily basis, so if you fit stop, then you are going broke immediately, because you no go get any better savings keep.

Most people age no match their physical appearance, and all na because of say dem don too use themselves, so if we dey do hard work, make we try establish even if na small business wey we go depend on if we don dey old, and make we make sure say we dey chop well, I know say country no easy, but make we try eat well, and make we no play with our health, dem they talk say health is wealth.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your view on this? Is it fun or addiction? on: February 07, 2024, 04:55:02 AM
This is one of the chat I just bumped into by one of us in the group chat and at this point I feel most of my friend have made it compulsory to always gamble every weekend.
When you are gambling, and you are looking for money, then you are already addicted to gambling, or should I say you are about to be addicted to gambling, when you make it compulsory for yourself to gamble, you are also addicted to gambling, because I see gambling as what you should do whenever you are free, and not what you should make mandatory that you have to do it. So it’s just better you give your friend advice about his gambling activities, so that he won’t end up regretting when it’s already late.

Pictures like this shouldn’t be taken as a play, most people that are really desperate to make money from gambling will take this picture very serious, so pictures like this are just encouraging addiction in gambling, and it should be avoided, this is a way in which addicted gamblers are encouraging themselves, when you visit a gambling shop in my country, you are going to see gamblers motivating themselves like that.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead Coins: Over 50% of Cryptocurrencies Have Failed on: February 07, 2024, 04:40:09 AM
Many cryptocurrencies are available in the market for scamming users. They often run multiple presale events and, once they receive investments, they disappear with people's money. Then, they start a new project under a different name to scam again. These actions are unfair to crypto users.
If you are investing in altcoin, it’s better to look for the once that have been in the market for long time, if you think you can make crazy amount of money from new projects, then you have to be prepared to be scammed, because most of the new projects entering the market are created by scammers, and some that are real might get low turnout due to most people being scared of being scammed or lack of proper marketing, but I will say investing in bitcoin is far better than investing in both old and new altcoins, because they can fail us, just that the rate at which new altcoins fail is just more than the altcoins that have been long in cryptocurrency space.
