I have just received word form x11.ltc1btc.com pool operators. They are in the process of updating their pool and wallet to latest version!!!! With this, DRK becomes the very first alt coin EVER to do a consensus based upgrade, WITHOUT A FORK !!! Just waiting for it to go through, and we have 99% of the network, updated and in consensus Thank you x11.ltc1btc.com for playing fair! I am now sure they simply did not know about the inner workings of DRK, and were playing by the "shitcoin" rules. Once we engaged and I explained the Masternode network, and why they would see -20% profit.... they were very happy to comply. Unless I was lied to... pretty soon, ladies and gents, we've done history, together. A BIG ROUND OF APPLAUSE TO EVAN... invented x11, invented DGW, invented "spork" technology, created Darksend, PoS innovation with Masternodes, and soon, 99% compliance without enforcing anything... holy moly. And the best is yet to come very good work to inform and convince the outdated pools! thanks for your action!

What is the most likely problem when I am trying to start the MN and getting a message "not capable masternode" The conf file seems sound. I type darkcoind - server is starting but when I type darkcoind masternode start, I get the "not capable masternode" message wallet.dat file had a transaction to it with exactly 1000drk in that one transaction? Thanks.. Running it from my cold wallet instead of the server sorted it out. you have the generated "masternode genkey" in both darkcoin.conf-files at cold wallet + server-wallet?

Doing 1 BTC per week with my masternodes currently. I love this coin.
Holy snap how many darks do you own? He won't ROI till like forever anyways. his MN-coins are not written in stone - he can sell them anytime he wants so he is getting ~ 1 btc each week - for a low EURO-amount for the VPS-server i setted-up some MNs too - the costline for the VPS-server is o.k. after only 3 days Edit: now my masternodes earn cost-free DRKs for 27 days of the 30-days-month - thats really fine

why not kick-off the masternodes, who run an outdated client?

An exchange should be able to understand without any voting, and for it's own good, that it needs both drk AND doge for volume. why not having some voting for this? it's a good competition

hey miners at the official pool! this pool has now 48 % of the total drk-hashrate please spread your hashrate - there are many other very good pools out therehttps://www2.coinmine.pl/drkhttp://darkcoin.miningpoolhub.comhttp://dark.suchpool.pwonly the three biggest pools - past the official pool Edit: quote from the official pool website: "Please redistribute your hashrate! Our pool fee will be 2% until our percentage of the network hashrate is <35%" do you like such a high pool fee?

11 270s and 1 6870 give me ~13Mh/s which has been getting me about 10 DRK/day, thats a whopping 6 dollars a day. same rigs same setup mine Einsteinium (EMC2) you will get 17.7 dollars. per month $180 vs $531 dollars. calculations taken directly from coinwarz.com the ONLY good thing came out of darkcoin project is X11. and you are ONLY a hardcore-smartass!

IMO BlackCoin could be serious threat to DarkCoin. As a community we should take it seriously:
1. If BC implement DarkSend, DRK could be doomed 2. BC multipool is going to use X11 (this is already happening, it is just a matter of days) 3. I think that more "average Joe" kind of people will consider DarkCoin just a copy of BC because they will firstly hear about blackcoin, which is a big hype nowdays, and they have great marketing(Apple is big copy-cat, but people find it innovative ).
Where have they said they're planning to use DarkSend? i think it cannot work with that coin, because it is now POS (started POW+POS) the mining is done their infrastructure is not comparable to DRK so it would be very hard for the devs to implement DarkSend into BC with the random master-node-concept as a piece of the whole DRK-mining-infrastructure

2 weeks ago price was 89 cents
now 53 cents.
thats some %40 drop in value.
and you know what.
total value of coins decreased from 88 million to 22 million.
thats 1/4 th.
mining profitability is bad. almost on par with hirocoin (which is dying quickly with diff down to 49 from 189 last week)
darkcoin hash rate down to 12m from 19m last week. (30% drop)
these are hardcore facts with numbers.
oh here we go again - why is the $-price of a coin a good and fair measurement for the coin-value? please have a look after the BTC/USD-value - DRK is tied to BTC and there is a really stable price for this the decrease of DRK to 22 million is just fine and voted for by the community in mining you get always fluctuations where have all your hardcore numbers gone?blowing in the wind, when you are using your parachute!

Can a few people try to DarkSend with the updated client? It should be functioning pretty smoothly, I'd like to hear what people think of the new user experience.
Thanks
v0.10.3.5-unk-beta / w7-64-prof / encrypted wallet darksend does not work - i tried to send 1 DRK to a v0.9.1.2-unk-beta-address "Error: The DarkSend requires a collateral transaction and could not locate the input! (code -4)"? Edit: declick "Use DarkSend" --> the transaction works Edit 2: i was only asked at the first transaction to give my decrypt-pw - but after that - transaction 2 + 3 - i can send coins without giving my pw Edit 3: i created a v0.10.3.5-unk-beta-wallet on a third pc - but the same Error as above while trying DarkSend to this v0.10.3.5-unk-beta-address Edit 4: completed the darkcoin.conf with the addnodes from the list of masternodes in the "konsole" getpoolinfo { "connected_to_masternode" : "", "current_masternode" : "94.23.22.195:9999", "is_connected_to_masternode" : false, "state" : 2, "entries" : 0, "entries_accepted" : 0, "signatures" : 0 } no success of DarkSend

who is the dev ? Who is behind Darkcoin ?
Evan Duffield and Sauron. This is one of the very few coins with the face and talent behind it: https://medium.com/on-banking/a923facddc3cPlenty more information on Darkcointalk. Unfortunately no one heard from Sauron for a while. Dont know who Sauron is, be he is not one of the developers. Its eduffield and myself that are the official developers. i got the "Sauron" as a black bad darksome warlock... though we haven't heard much of him for a while

Can you please change your topic, it's a bit inflammatory.
What you're seeing is virus false alarms because the virus detection software on your computer checks for short (e.g. 16 bytes) 'signatures' and not the viruses themselves, and people have put some of these signatures in transactions. The AV software correctly ignores the blockchain itself but is falsely triggered in some of the leveldb database files. You should configure your AV to ignore the bitcoin directory.
There is no risk to your system here.
thanks for the information! why is it allowed to put such f..king signatures into transactions, so into the blockchain? average joe must fear to have multiple viruses on his system downloaded by the bitcoin-network! could this be done with the new 0.9.0-bitcoin-core?

W7-32-Ultimate Bitcoin Core 0.9.0 avast-anti-virus-software found:

cleaned by avast cleaned the bitcoin-roaming-folder except the wallet-dat copied clean-two-weeks-old-blockdata to the roaming-folder avast-scan of the folder - clean started bitcoin again some synchronizing-time later found nearly the same problems:

is it only my problem?
Edit: another W7-64-prof-system is synchronizing with bitcoin 0.8.6-client - lets see if it gets the same problems

i think the funds - each 1000 DRK - of a master-node have to be at another place - not directly on the node
that would be fine for the hacker(s)
is it possible to do this p2p - for all master-node-funds?

I think these are awesome, Schwede. You have some great skills with graphic design. One thing -- do you think the 'd' could be emphasised a bit more? Also if you want to be in the running for the logo competition payout, you'll have to submit your design on designcrowd: http://jobs.designcrowd.com/job.aspx?id=469921thanks for the link!
