I’m really new here and not really fully aware of the modus operandi of the forum, and I also wish to tender an apology if I have already defaulted ignorantly by making posts without formally introducing myself here.

I'm not sure why your username read Bhunter1997, does that refer to Bounty hunter? Is the 1997 has to do with your date of birth?  Tongue

If you once had a Bounty account or violated any rule with your first account and later find out, know that you will be caught with this one as well and if it's just a random name then only time will prove it.

Nevertheless, welcome to the forum. For more familiarity and rules of the forum, you should check Newbies - Read before posting

You’re mistaken Fam. My chosen username has nothing to do with bounty hunting. My name starts with the Letter B, hence the B in my username. And the 1997 there also has nothing to do with my age. My previous account couldn’t make posts so I don’t see how it was possible that I could have been using it for bounty hunting.

I was only seeking for clarification here and I think I’ve been clarified already. Thanks anyways for the warm welcome.

Hello and hope everyone here is having a wonderful time here. I’ve been going through the contents of this forum for quite sometime now and I’ve really found the contents of the forum quite educative and helpful too.

I finally created an account yesterday to enable have the access to be part of the forum. I created this account yesterday and today I’ve been able to make some posts/comments in some of the contents here.

Although I used to initially have an account some time ago but I kinda lost the password to the account and lost access to the account, although when I created the account I was unable to make posts due to a proxy ban on the account, but with the help of a VPN browser I’ve been able to create another account that now allows me to make posts and now I can make posts and comments.

While I was busy exploring this forum to gain more knowledge and enlightenment, I kinda bumped into a few threads where beginners and newbies kinda make some sort of introduction and making their presence known to the platform.

Although I’m new here but not really entirely a newbie because I have few and past knowledge about cryptocurrency so I wouldn’t be entirely be classified as a newbie.

I felt it would be appropriate to ask if it’s right or okay for me to come in and start making posts here without really formally introducing myself or is there something I should maybe do to attain the privilege of making posts here.

I’m really new here and not really fully aware of the modus operandi of the forum, and I also wish to tender an apology if I have already defaulted ignorantly by making posts without formally introducing myself here.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Not your keys, not your coins", What's the threshold before it fails? on: August 27, 2023, 05:31:21 PM
what’s really the essence of moving you crypto access to a bank? What’s the whole sense of decentralization then?
Well just like you said “because of the lack of Bitcoin Education or laziness” Because that should be the only reason someone should even think of moving their Crypto Asset to a Bank Storage.

I mean there are so many ways people can make sure that their assets are safe and so there’s definitely no essence or need to go move your Bitcoin to any sort of bank Storage. This is why people should really should first gain full education and knowledge of what you wanna do or are already doing. It’s not just enough to own Bitcoin, also know everything about it, because someone who knows everything about Bitcoin won’t be as naive as getting the thoughts of moving his Bitcoin to a Bank Storage.

That would be the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard in my life because that I think will be transferring the control and circulation of Bitcoin into the hands of an organization or even a person, Bitcoin said would no longer be so different from our normal fiat currencies. That’s so ridiculous if you ask me.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I go with Bitcoin or Altcoins for the upcoming bull run cycle? on: August 27, 2023, 12:43:11 PM
It’s indeed an amazing strategy but you can’t always get it right you know, what if you miss the timing, because like we all know, timing is everything, just take for instance you buy your 1BTC and then right after you buy it and expecting the market to surpass its previous peak and then you get the opposite and it comes crashing down for another couple of years and not even getting close to the previous peak?

Or let’s assume it does exceed the previous peak and then you use it as a collateral to borrow what, 30% of your money to invest it in the Altcoin without actually knowing it’s already in the dumping stage and then you throw all that money into it and  everything goes all bazaar and comes crashing down on your face and you loose your 30% leaving you with little or nothing and then coincidentally BTC takes a left turn due to one reason or the other and the price starts dropping and then the exchange takes back the 30%. What exactly are you gonna be left with?

I do believe it’s an amazing strategy but I also think it’s a 50/50 thing, it’s not a 100% sure it’s gonna go as planned, something could go wrong along the way which could amount to a loss. I just think whatever investment strategy you choose to employ, you should weigh the risks  as well as the success possibilities

Bitcoin investment is very broad and has different ways and methods it operates on. So you wouldn’t definitely think you could just convince someone to dangling into it, especially if it’s someone who has never heard of it before.

I remember having similar experiences too. This is an experience I can  never forget. In the year 2018 when I was first told about bitcoin, I had a little amount of money with me and looking for a very profitable business to invest this money I had, $300 to be precise. I talked to my neighbor about it and he suddenly suggested I invest in bitcoin. I was like what’s bitcoin and he took time to explain it to me.

Honestly I feared whatever that would lead me to putting my money online because I had fallen victim to a couple of Ponzi scams, so telling me about bitcoin didn’t really sound like a cool investment to me lol. So I didn’t buy the idea. He didn’t really stress on it too much or try too hard to convince me. He only told me the possibilities bitcoin hard to offer and left me to make my decision.

Well in summary I wished I wasn’t so naive and saw the vision and took advantage of it then because I just recently started investing in bitcoin and I’m benefiting from it now and everyday I’m like, what if I started back then in 2018.
