1  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Notcoin: After Listing, What Next ? on: June 20, 2024, 05:54:59 PM
Well, I'd say we were all shocked by what Notcoin did. Everyone thought it was a waste of time, but then suddenly they listed, and people made a lot of money just by participating. Since then, I've seen many campaigns and activities related to Notcoin.

It seems that even after the listing, when we thought everything would quiet down, there are still opportunities to earn more Notcoin. Recently I came across this NOT giveaway where users can share some NOT doing some tasks. The crypto space keeps empowering people with such campaigns and projects. I think this is just the beginning.

When the market starts to surge, we'll see even more opportunities. What are your thoughts on such campaigns?
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Power of Social Trading: Can It Improve Decision-Making for New Traders? on: June 20, 2024, 01:36:19 PM
Hey there, fellow trader! Have you noticed how crypto exchanges are stepping up their game with features to make our trading lives easier? Binance, for instance, has its Binance Feed and Binance Live, where you can share your trading ideas and even stream your charts in real-time. And over at Coinbase, they've got educational content that you can share, sparking great discussions about trading strategies.

It's pretty exciting how these platforms are creating communities where we can all learn from each other. Recently, Bitget introduced Real-time K-line Sharing. That allows affiliates to share buy and sell signals directly on the charts with their referrals.

On one hand, it can be awesome to learn from the pros and see how they're reading the charts. On the other hand, blindly following someone else's signals might not be the best recipe for success. So, what do you think?  Could this kind of social sharing improve decision-making for new traders?

Well, I feel that in the years to come, we will see even more improvements and additional features. As the technology behind trading advances, exchanges like Bitget and Binance are coming up with simpler ways to trade. And personally, I think the new feature, K-line sharing, is quite useful. Many newbies and even experts will find it helpful. Signals aren't a bad thing, as long as the person providing them is a skilled trader with a high execution accuracy.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Coinbar a coin with real world use case for businesses on: June 19, 2024, 01:59:04 PM
Hey guys, it seems there are a lot of airdrop claims since the beginning of this month. Many projects have been listing and rewarding users for interactions, which brings me to the discussion about DeFi. We've been seeing a lot of projects bring innovative solutions to real-life problems. I stumbled upon one such project on Twitter, my go-to place for finding new tokens.

So, Coinbar Pay allows businesses to accept payments in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. It's easy to use and works with many devices and websites. The CBPAY token is a special coin that makes payments faster and more rewarding, offering perks like discounts, exclusive deals, and loyalty points. The more you use CBPAY, the more benefits you get! What are your thoughts on projects like CBPAY that are already bringing real value to the DeFi space?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Do you think data focus web3 Projects could be the next bigthing? on: June 15, 2024, 10:12:31 AM
Hey guys, I know we've seen a lot of uncertainty in the market lately, with BTC lacking a clear direction. This has left many of us confused about the bull run, with some even thinking it's already passed us by.

However, I believe we'll soon see a shift in market sentiment for the better. With that in mind, I've been searching for projects with compelling narratives, like the one I came across on Twitter today - Mystiko.Network. It's a platform that makes blockchain technology faster, more secure, and more private, giving users control over their data and transactions while enabling developers to build innovative applications. I've noticed a trend in projects focusing on user-owned data,So don't you think it's good we are having project with such usecase? (Edited)
5  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / What stage of the bullrun are we at now? on: June 15, 2024, 09:42:53 AM
Hey guys, I was browsing Twitter when I came across a post from KOl that caught my attention. They shared some pictures and asked, 'Which stage of the bullrun do you think we are at right now?' What are your thoughts? Which stage do you think we're currently
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think memecoin can turn into a token with utilities? on: June 13, 2024, 02:28:50 PM
hey guys, been seeing lot of threads/posts about memecoin nowadays. It has became talk of the town, especially since memecoins getting more hyped due to celebrities launching their own token and solchain has become the hub for memecoins

Now I don't really trade a lot of memecoins, except some new ones and old ones like DOGE, pepe etc. But today I saw a new memecoin on sol chain listed on Bitget and mexc already, it made me post about it becuz of what they offered on project, So this was the LAIKA token and if y'all know memecoin usually starts with a story behind it. And this one with the story of Laika, a stray dog from Moscow sent to space.

Now am not gonna bore y'all with some story, but the team of this memecoin brought a whole ecosystem and utilities for the token, like they already launched their own wallet on Apple store & google play already and they already have a metaverse game that can be played in a web browser. they also have an upcoming free-to-play mobile game soon. I think these can be considered as utilities, since it's more than just a memecoin.

so don't you think it's good to have such usecases for a memecoin like this? as giving holders more options to hold?

Well, recently we've been seeing several memes with utilities, which I feel is a really good improvement for the meme game. With memes like Pepe, we started seeing their utility after some time, but with new projects like Laika, it's coming with a go-to narrative, and not only that, but they're also incorporating gamefi elements. I'm not surprised it got listed on Bitget, as I've been seeing such projects listed there lately
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Pirate Nation: gamefi with its own in game Blockchain technology on: June 12, 2024, 08:50:24 PM
I recently discovered a GameFi project with a compelling narrative. While exploring Laika, a metaverse and mobile GameFi project, I came across Pirate Nation, a web3 role-playing game that combines casual gaming, blockchain technology, and shared ownership. It utilizes its own Apex blockchain, enabling players to own and trade in-game assets. https://piratenation.game/

The game is designed to be long-lasting, developed by an experienced team from renowned gaming companies. Players can explore quests, collect resources, craft items, build ships, and engage in card-based combat. The game features customizable islands and is currently playable on desktop, with a mobile release planned for this year. What are your thoughts on GameFi projects with narratives like this?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Could Fan Tokens: be a New Trend in Crypto? on: June 08, 2024, 04:09:43 PM
I just learned about fan tokens today. I've been learning a lot lately, so I understand that fan tokens are a type of cryptocurrency that lets fans engage with their favorite sports teams, clubs, or organizations in a more immersive way.

They're often issued on blockchain platforms and provide fans with tokens like CITY and INTER. These tokens help fans feel more connected to their clubs, which led me to explore GAL, the official digital token of Galatasaray, a Turkish football club founded in 1905. By holding GAL tokens, fans can participate in management decisions, making them feel more connected to the club. What do you think about GAL, and do you think more football clubs will adopt this approach?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What are your thoughts on Web3's decentralized GPU cloud infrastructure? on: June 05, 2024, 04:30:16 PM
I'm obsessed with researching and participating in GameFi projects - they're fun and profitable! My interest in GameFi has led me to discover many projects, and the latest one that caught my eye is Aethir. Aethir's vision is to make decentralized GPU cloud infrastructure the standard, driving innovation and accessibility in AI, gaming, and more. By creating a community-driven ecosystem, contributors are rewarded, promoting a fairer and decentralized tech landscape. While Aethir's primary focus is on cloud computing for gaming and AI, I believe the project has vast untapped potential and ample room for expansion and innovation.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Pepe in a Memes World on: June 03, 2024, 10:42:53 AM
Since I entered the meme space, I've encountered various types of memes - mostly fun, funny, and hilarious, while others have actual utility. This reminds me of Pepe the Frog, which started as a fun and hilarious meme but has now become a valuable token with utility, a goal most meme creators strive for.

Although there are always bad actors in the game, we still seek to invest in the right projects. This brings me to "Pepe in a Memes World" a vibrant project that celebrates the iconic Pepe the Frog as he navigates the wild and wacky universe of internet memes, Built on the Ethereum blockchain, I'm curious about your thoughts on such projects and your experiences with memes on the Ethereum blockchain.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Psychology of Blockchain users on: May 29, 2024, 08:37:33 PM
Have you ever wondered why people are so passionate about blockchain and cryptocurrency? Or why some folks spend hours upon hours learning about it, investing in it, and talking about it online? As blockchain and cryptocurrency continue to grow and change the way we think about money and technology, it's important to understand the people who make it all happen.

Right now, we're missing a project that looks at how people act and interact in the blockchain community. For example, what makes blockchain fans different from people who use social media or online forums? What motivates them to join online groups, attend conferences, and share their ideas with others? Are there any projects out there that try to figure out what makes blockchain users tick, what they care about, and what drives them?

Understanding the psychology of blockchain users could help us create better tools, services, and communities for everyone involved. It could also help us identify potential issues and find ways to make the blockchain space more welcoming and inclusive for people from all walks of life.what are your thoughts on these do you know of any projects already doing these, I noticed a memecoin with similar identity. BlockChain people. Since it's a meme do you think it'll fulfill this objective?
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't You Think the Power of Flexible Savings Counts? on: May 26, 2024, 10:13:10 AM
So I expanded my research and discovered the apy on Bitget PoolX is 18.97% for USDT & 28.61% on ETH. The highest I've seen during this study. Maybe I'll expand my search. If you're holding ETH, I believe this is a way to grow assets without getting caught up in the day-to-day market fluctuations.
I know that you're shilling this exchange but I cannot find that poolx and only find out the savings which is about 4.5% for USDT.
And with ETH, it is 3%.

While I still use Binance and Okex for different reasons, I still believe that this means of increasing one's holdings can go a long way, because if one saves up $100K he would be getting $2K monthly and that's enough than risking to lose everything to high leverages, how do you see this to count for traders and enthusiasts?
If I've got that amount, I won't be confident depositing it on any centralized exchange to be honest even with attractive rates.

I think some top exchanges pull billions of $$ in daily volumes.i don't think depositing that is risky, I just feel proper research needs to be done and stick with platforms with some good reputation. Here's what I got from Twitter. Also noticed PoolX is flexible & you earn hourly too. Might take a look further.

I understand your point. Using platforms like Bitget PoolX can be a viable option. After reviewing the diagram you provided, I noticed that they've got the highest APR. Their PoolX event can be considered..

I understand what their volume is getting and there is no doubt that they get a lot. But the thing is, you don't hold the private keys whenever you deposit to an exchange. It's a centralized exchange and you have no problem if you trust them. However, that fact won't change even if you trust them solely and the entire volume of theirs is getting billions daily. Look at the most popular exchanges in the past, they were also trusted but what happened..

I understand your point I use dex too, but you can't completely rule out cex influence and investment in the crypto space. They still play a major role. Since the FTX saga I think some exchanges are taking rensponsibilty rn. Bitget POR funds & merlkle tree, binance safu funds and I think bybit has some too. Those are examples. I believe we shouldn't ignore their effort because the past has been rocky..there's still more to discover mate..
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Women Who Rock the Blockchain World on: May 25, 2024, 04:44:43 PM
As a participant in the dynamic crypto space, I can't help but be in awe of the remarkable women who are leading the charge and shaping the future of this industry. Two names that stand out to me are Yi He, the co-founder of Binance, and Gracy Chen, the CEO of Bitget.

Yi He's story is particularly captivating – hailing from the remote countryside of Sichuan Province in China, she defied her humble beginnings to carve out a successful career in psychology and television before finding her true calling in the world of finance and technology. As the co-founder of Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world, Yi He has demonstrated an unparalleled ability to identify and nurture talent, building a strong, diverse team that has been instrumental to the exchange's meteoric rise.

Equally impressive is the story of Gracy Chen, who has seamlessly transitioned from a successful career as a television host to becoming a trailblazing entrepreneur and now the CEO of Bitget, one of the world's largest crypto exchanges. As the head of Bitget, Chen oversees a team of over 1,500 employees, demonstrating her exceptional leadership skills and her deep understanding of the crypto industry.

The stories of Yi He and Gracy Chen serve as a powerful reminder of the immense talent and potential that women bring to the crypto space. These trailblazers are not only redefining the industry, but also inspiring a new generation of women to pursue their dreams and push the boundaries of what's possible in the world of finance and technology.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will It Be Jubilation or Devastation? Ethereum ETF Call Imminent on: May 24, 2024, 10:00:03 PM
I think Solana is likely to be approved for an ETF next. The Solana ecosystem is strong and has a lot of potential, but we know that unexpected things can happen in crypto. Even with ETF approvals for Bitcoin and Ethereum, the market hasn't surged yet. I'm still hoping for a big price increase soon, also on the event you mentioned saw a similar event on Bitget where they reward trade for leveraging.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Could This Web3 Project Be Aiming For Greener Solutions? on: May 24, 2024, 07:12:05 PM
As people try to reduce their impact on the planet, the blockchain world is also trying to go green. Traditional mining uses a lot of energy and hurts the environment, so new blockchain platforms are being created to fix this problem.

These new platforms, like SolarX, offer ways to mine cryptocurrency without harming the planet . https://solarx.ai/whitepaper
Do you think this is a good idea? Will big blockchain companies start using these eco-friendly methods, and how will this change the industry?

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Will DeFi Wallets Remain Relevant in the Long Run? on: May 22, 2024, 10:07:41 PM
I just checked my calendar and realized today is May 22nd—Bitcoin Pizza Day! It's incredible to think it's been 14 years already. Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day, everyone!

This brings me to what I want to talk about today: DeFi (Decentralized Finance). DeFi projects have been coming up with some impressive solutions. For example, many projects are creating their own decentralized exchanges (DEX) and even have native tokens. When I see projects like these, I feel they have strong use cases and potential for long-term success.

Take HashPack, for instance. It's a wallet on the Hedera Hashgraph ecosystem.Projects like this seem solid and well grounded. It's also pretty impressive that they have their own wallet, which shows it will be  here for a long time. What are your thoughts?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Interoperability protocols in defi on: May 20, 2024, 01:32:49 PM
Saw a tweet about interoperability protocols and it got me curious. From what I understand, an interoperability protocol is like a bridge that connects different blockchain networks, allowing them to communicate and share data with each other seamlessly. Think of it like a universal translator for blockchains!

In the DeFi space, this means that different projects can work together more efficiently, sharing resources and information. It's like having a central hub that connects all the different servers, making it easier for them to talk to each other.

I'd love to learn more about interoperability protocols and explore some examples. Can anyone share their insights or mention some specific protocols that are making waves in the DeFi space?
18  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Kucoin suspended P2P in Nigeria on: May 16, 2024, 04:02:52 PM

They’ll come for all other exchanges and we are all expecting that at the moment now. After all this steps they’ve taken, we have not seen any appreciation in naira against dollar, will the fight still continue with cryptocurrencies or they’ll go through another means which they knew the right means to use to tackle this all along.

This is no more a problem to we the crypt enthusiast. The government have done so much and they wont rest till they eliminate every way Nigerians have been using to operate in that area. Only one thing is certain that they will get tired and forget about all this fruitless actions. Soon everyone will forget about what is happening and focus on themselves, the government has a hidden agenda based on their actions which they are using to blind the eyes of the youth. Surely their plans would never work out, we will surely have a way.

Someone mentioned the govt has an hidden agenda and won't be surprised to see them bring up their own P2P trading system. Thinking about it I think it may be true ahah. Anyways till then they're still good platforms that has P2P running. Someone could suggest some and you may check them out..
Yes I feel you on that guy, has in I sometimes wonder 🤔 that the government can't be doing this without having a plan of their own sha,for now me dey with Bitget I have been using their P2P for sometime now it quite reliable you fit check them out
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How AI is impacting web3 and our everyday life on: May 15, 2024, 01:49:33 PM
Hey everyone! I come from a time where AI is revolutionizing everything - from how we work and think to how we solve problems. Though mostly created by humans and comprised of code, AI is making our lives easier and faster. That's why I'm always intrigued by new projects, especially ones like VIRTUAL Protocol that bring AI solutions to the web3 space.

VIRTUAL Protocol enables the creation of AI entities capable of text, voice, and motion responses in virtual environments. Its main goal is to produce and market these AI personas effectively.

The protocol incentivizes individuals to contribute data and create AI models, while validators ensure quality and functionality, earning rewards in return. Integration into the system is simple for DApp founders, allowing for quick and cost-effective creation of immersive experiences. Content creators can creatively monetize their characters and stories. Exciting times ahead! What possibilities do you envision for AI in the web3 space?
20  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Could this be the Cause of increase in dollar rate in Nigeria? on: May 14, 2024, 09:11:15 AM
I saw a tweet that says the cause of increase in naira to dollar is caused by the dollarization of the country that the government are allowing transaction to be made in Nigeria with dollars and this caused the naira to loose value over the dollar it was said that the only legal tender in Nigeria is suppose to be naira and all the transaction should be made in naira why government con dey allow dollar to be use to pay house rent pay for pilgrims and many more why they con they allow am the economic constitution in Nigeria didn’t state that the market force will be the cause of increase in naira to dollar buh the use of naira in Nigeria and it is well known by the government and the government keep allowing the use of dollar in nigeria why.
