1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CannabisCoin [CANN][X11][Official][2] Developments & Discussions on: March 23, 2015, 07:58:30 PM
Hello everyone!

Maybe it's stupid but i have installed cannabiscoin wallet (fast), i added bootstrap.dat, and it has synchronized from disk and now it's been synchronizing with network since one day. It's written that " Synchronizing with network...  8 hours behind ". Is there any problem with network ? Or I just don't have any luck?

Thanks for your time!!
It can take many hours to fully synchronize the first time you start up the wallet. As long as its making progress(the time it says its behind is going down) then its working just fine.

1 USD is currently around 374k sats, Cann is currently struggling to reach 2k sats. Can Cann reach $1 a Cann? It almost certainly can, eventually. Will it reach $1 a Cann anytime in the near future? Most likely not.

The FUD is depressing today...down in the dumps...waiting for the dev to update us.

You're looking at this wrong, you have to realize bitcointalk thrives on FUD, and the more successful a coin is, the more FUD it gets. In other words, the amount of FUD we're seeing right now is proof that CANN is a huge success.

It's weird that we still aren't above 1200 satoshis still around 1100-1300, why not 11000-13000? Grin
I'm perfectly happy with it staying at 1100-1300 so I can keep buying cheap coins in preparation for when it goes 200k+.

I am back people. Anyone missed me?

Yes we missed you, your pool is down!
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New version 1.1.2 on: September 27, 2014, 06:58:48 AM
New client Burst 1.1.3

download: https://mega.co.nz/#!e15TQRCZ!k043rrfCzkTofW0ICbfq_j269x9zYTShOs2KdWAtaT0
sha256: 201a8491f33c03ffad2d7f9c43f14a6a287e146c8d0a7ac2ae3581f8f8831fcf
Or get it from github.

Update is required.

Instead of picking a block number to fork on in advance, this update will be enabled when I set the alias "featureescrow" to the value "enabled" This allows me to wait longer if necessary for more people to update their clients. It will be at least 3-4 days before this is triggered.

After updating, you will need to refresh your wallet, and possibly clear your cache if things don't look right.

This update adds escrow transactions. You will be able to create escrow transactions where you can list accounts that can sign off on the transfer, and set how many need to sign off to complete the transaction one way or the other. For example, you could create a transaction to another user and list 5 accounts as signers, and require 3 of them to sign to take action. If both the sender and recipient are honest, the transaction can be settled with either the sender releasing the funds, or the recipient refunding them. If the transaction does not go as planned, the 5 signers can announce their decision to the network. If any 3 announce decisions that are in agreement about how to handle the funds(release/refund), it will complete the transaction accordingly. Up to 10 signers can be listed on a transaction, and 1 - 10 signatures can be required for settling. A deadline and action(release/refund/split) are also set when creating the transaction, which will be executed if the deadline runs out to avoid burning the funds if the transaction is never settled. There is a listing in the wallet of all escrow transactions you are involved in(sender, recipient, or signer), that you can click on and select decisions from a drop down menu to easily resolve escrows, and there is a form in the wallet to easily create them. More details will be given on the exact use when I enable the feature.

Did you remember to inform the exchanges of the mandatory wallet update this time?

You know what I'd love to see though, is a screen shot with a picture of it connected. I think that would ease a lot of investors minds, and also give some evidence to people who are interested in investing in this coin.
Why not do it yourself? Download the wallet and try it.

@Eurbids

What makes this coin special. Is ur VOIP integration something "special"?
Anon voip chat is unique in the crypto world, so I would say that qualifies as special.

How come there are no buys? Any idea? VOIP is something amazing.....
Skype was bought for 8,5 billion by Microsoft.
These clowns say that can develop something better than that for some cheap coins.....
Are you kidding!!
Dump now and will thank me later!!
Thank you!

For an experienced programmer VoIP is easier to do than you might think.

Hope I'm wrong, but someone will be hurt badly!!
VOIP has been around since at least the late 90's, its hardly new or difficult to implement. Skype is worth so much because of how big it is.

So if C-Cex didn't update their wallet, what happens to any coins sent to them? Are the coins simply gone, or will they show up once C-Cex updates?

They will show after C-Cex updates.

The private keys remain the same.
Well thats good to know.

Honestly why isn't bittrex starting the market? Everyone else could already manage to add it. Dev any idea?
Possibly because the dev hasn't paid his bri... I mean "integration fee" yet.

A show of hands... how many of you have said "Aww... crap..."  Delete... start plotting over again...  Grin
*raises hand*

I think I did that at least three or four times before I got everything sorted out and working.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New multipools on: September 08, 2014, 08:51:36 PM
I just started mining and every single line says error reading file: and points to my exact plot file.  Is it saying error reading file because My plotting just started?  Will it eventually stop having all of these reading file errors?

It throws out an error because the plot file is incomplete, it doesn't actually effect anything though, and will go away when the plot finishes.

Looking for miners (ASIC ones especially!)
http://burstmultipool.com!
scrypt: stratum+tcp://pool.burstmultipool.com:3333
sha: stratum+tcp://pool.burstmultipool.com:5555
x11: stratum+tcp://pool.burstmultipool.com:4444
Keccak: stratum+tcp://pool.burstmultipool.com:6666
scrypt-n: stratum+tcp://pool.burstmultipool.com:2222

Choosing a coin is kinda tough if you don't already know what algo it uses.
It would be nice to have the site updated to list the algo next to the names of the coins.

Also, when clicking on a coin (myriadcoin), it states:
Username: your myriadcoin wallet address

...I assume this means your BurstCoin wallet address and not a wallet for that specific coin, right? (might want to update that as well)
or are those for direct mining those coins?
I'm pretty sure that the front end is a copy/paste of another pool, which is why parts of it really don't make sense. Hopefully he'll get it cleaned up and customized for BURST, but in the mean time, don't try to pick a coin, just pick one of the algos he lists, the pool will automatically mine the best coin for that algo.

Sorry for the delay getting the pool running - like I said, since I first announced it it's been recieving a heavy DDOS but we should be pretty much immune now.

Subject: 1 IP attacked (Mitigation)

Hello Mr Dave,

Unfortunately we won't be able to remove the "forced" mitigation for your VPS IP at the moment because you are having some attacks and if we did so, it will affect the other customers sharing the same Host with you.

Thank you for your understanding!

Daniel

I guess BURST is rustling someone's jimmies.

Looking for some beta testers!

http://burstmultipool.com
Scrypt - stratum+tcp://pool.burstmultipool.com:3333
SHA - stratum+tcp://pool.burstmultipool.com:5555
X11 - stratum+tcp://pool.burstmultipool.com:4444
Keccak - stratum+tcp://pool.burstmultipool.com:6666
Scrypt-N - stratum+tcp://pool.burstmultipool.com:2222

Use your BURST wallet as your username and any password! Complete stats and profitability as well as visibility.  You might recognize the site design. Smiley

Check the 'MY MINER' page to see how many BURST you have earned so far the current shift as well as any outstanding balances! And also see exactly how many coins, of what type, your miner has earned so far!!

Anyone getting x11 to work here? All I'm getting is no work available from pool.
Give it a spin again, I finally have implemented the full suite of DDOS protection.
(ie, IP based DDOS mitigation, dome9 security agent and cloudflare professional)

Started up x11 again, seems to working so far.

Well my TB is almost out of the game for the pool it seems.  Cant wait for my new hard drives to show up but by time they do and their setup im not so sure how long their going to be competitive it at all.

its almost impossible to lose money since the rate of burst is good and shows much promise. you pay pennies running your harddrive thinking in terms of electric.. ware and tear is the only concern

average harddrive spinning 24/7 lasts two years+ out of the box

I can get a 3 year unconditional warranty for $20 per 4 TB drive. It is a no-brainer because I see how long that they last. I told the salesman that I will be back to get a new free one Tongue
in 3 years you wont want to get a 4 tb replacement drive. think of 12-32 tb drives then ;-)
Without a radical change in HDD hardware design its unlikely we'll reach 12 let alone 32 tb in drive space.

mining with CPU... mining with cards... mining with harddrives and utilizing my ram generating plots on 3 other computers networked to this one Smiley oh and dont forget the asics out in the freezer box .
Now we just need to figure out how to mine with sound cards.
