1  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: February 24, 2016, 05:22:15 PM
In my point of view, what would really help Bitcoin would be for people to sell items on-line, and to accept Bitcoin in payment. This would help to expand the use of Bitcoin. I've had a couple of attempts at this, but so far I haven't had any buyers.

It has been an option I offered to people who are negotiating to buy domain names from me. I'll keep you guys posted on the development of that!

cheers!
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What strategy you use to trade bitcoin? on: February 24, 2016, 02:29:26 PM
What strategy you use to trade bitcoin?

I'm not currently trading anymore, but when I used to trade I tried to set the daily range the price usually staid in (for the exchanges in my countries volatility is not so violent) and, by setting a risk management strategy, in other words, a safety margin for the operations, I would then trade as soon as the price variation reached my pre-established desired level of profit margin for the trade.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 13 ways to watch the price of Bitcoin on: February 24, 2016, 02:24:23 PM
Those tools are very useful, although I try to be a less paranoid about it and just don't follow the day-to-day variations (unless I'm planing to buy or sell, when I follow closely in order to try and get a better deal out of the transaction).
4  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who controls the Bitcoins? on: February 24, 2016, 02:22:43 PM
If you mean by controling the bitcoin its price, then it is supply and demand which control it.
Bitcoin is a decentralized currency so every one who run a node, every miner and every holder, are sharing the control in somehow

In theory this is pretty correct, but in practice big miner companies and speculators do have a significant power over the price of the currency and it's own supply and demand. hence we can say they have a level of control over bitcoin.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities on: February 24, 2016, 02:20:27 PM
I don't understand why is this so relevant.

Isn't fiat money also used for illegal activities?

What would people do? Ban fiat money?

Illegal activites are a commonplace. if, today, following the money is a tool to arrest perpetrators, we should find another way to find them instead of stoping a true world revolution because of the fear of bandits.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan Considers Regulating Bitcoin as Currency on: February 24, 2016, 02:15:54 PM
Not only Japan! "Hopes are high for the currencies as both investment targets and low-cost methods of payment. Monetary authorities worldwide are setting out to regulate the technology, starting with measures to prevent money laundering and other illicit activity."

I'm so excited about all this! I feel like living a true revolution!!  Grin
7  Economy / Auctions / Re: [WTS] Crypto-related Twitter accounts [3x package] [up to 3x0.18 monthly income] on: February 24, 2016, 01:13:32 PM
How can you proove that the followers are real?
twitter audit.

To OP, if you can't auction these accounts away, can I make an offer to buy one individual account, not the whole bundle?

yes you are correct, twitter audit.

Yes, I can accept offers for individual accounts, but please be advised I'll give preference to bids for the full package.

thank you.

Ok then. Could you please PM me the links to the twitter profile you're auctioning, and also their respective individual prices? I want to assess them first before making a bid.

Just sent you a PM, I can sell separate accounts for 1/3 of BIN price.

Thank you.

10  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Brazil has more than 150 stores that accept bitcoin on: February 23, 2016, 04:51:20 PM
I think as per rumors, scrypt.cc founder Marcelo Santos lives in Brazil. If this is the case, he's lucky enough to spend all those stolen bitcoins across Brazil.
That's really a lot of shops. I do not know if my country accept Bitcoins.
I do know a few stores that do. But there are not many clear.

There are almost in every country some shops that does accept it but I must say you are right not many stores are available in most country's, that why I use the online market.
You can buy a lot online with the bitcoin these days, I let it ship to my country and its still cheaper here so its a win win situation for me of course.

OP gives a wrong impression IMHO.

Most "stores" are web designers and tech-related professionals.

Map suggest it's a widespread technology already, but there's a lot of things to be done until it's a common knowledge tool.

13  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [VOUCHED; AUTOBUY] METHOD TO PROFIT 0.18 BTC PER MONTH. PRICE IS NOW ONLY 10$. on: February 23, 2016, 01:32:13 PM
When is the deadline? I don't have the full amount in my wallet right now  Cry

Could you save one copy for me, please? I'll pay it tomorrow!!

thank you

I don't think it depends on a specific deadline, but actually it really depends more on the actual number of copies being sold... I have btc to sell in case you're interested! Send me a PM in case you want.
14  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: February 23, 2016, 02:52:21 AM
Be advised: apparently Secondstrade is facing some problems with their campaign.

Payment is delayed and there has been some issues going on with staff due to how the campaing has been managed.

Maybe OP should reflect that.

thanks

16  Economy / Services / Re: INCREASED PAYOUT(7/13) ۩۞۩ secondstrade.com ★signature campaign★upto 0.0006/post on: February 22, 2016, 07:11:00 PM
Does anyone have any ideia what time the payments for this campaign will be processed? It appears that it's late today, I was under the impression I used to receive the payments earlier on Mondays...

thanks
17  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [AUTOBUY] METHOD: 6 EASY STEPS TO PROFIT at least 0.18 BTC PER MONTH [VOUCHED] on: February 22, 2016, 06:50:20 PM
This method is very good idea, but selling this to more people can disturb this system. Please consider that finally everyone can lose.

I agree. I bought and find it a great method, but if you oversell it it will become useless in a short time. Be careful!

cheers

I'm planning to close it by the end of the day tomorrow, I haven't reached 10 copies yet.

Do not worry, I'll not saturate the market!

Cheers

How many copies hare you sold?

This information is important so I can calculate the potential replication I can make for this method...

thanks
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin. on: February 22, 2016, 05:08:27 PM
This sentence makes no sense to me. Stating that "Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin" is the same as "Storing of GOLD is against GOLD". The purpose of a currency is to facilitate trades AND be a useful value storage tool.

20  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many Bitcoins are lost forever? on: February 19, 2016, 12:32:49 AM
I believe that no one really knows how much because of the amount of the users of bitcoin. Imagine the guy who throw away his hard drive with tons of BTC in it. Yes that's a real news... One of the main reasons it's basically impossible to exactly know the % of the supply that's lost forever is the fact that you can't know if an address that hasn't got activity for a long time means the owner lost the password, or the owner is simply holding those coins and working with other addresses for transactions.  Undecided
